Abstract

Abstract. This research was motivated from observation during my apprentice where the teachers were still using conventional learning model in class. In this rapidly changing era, students will find it difficult to face the advances in education. For that reason, we need a model of learning that can make students to be more active in learning, so that their ability can thrive well. Collaborative learning is one of the learning models using students’ cooperation as its main core and demanding the students activeness in solving problems especially math problems. Hopefully it can improve students understanding and make them get good learning outcomes. The main problem of this research was to find whether there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes of students who acquired collaborative learning and those who acquired conventional learning on the subject of cubes and beams. The type of research used was Pseudo Experiments. This research was conducted in class VIII SMP 16 Kota Bengkulu from April 5 to April 27, 2016.  Data collection was done with learning result test. The test was conducted before and after learning. The data obtained were analyzed by statistic Z test. From the result of the research, it was found that there were differences of mathematics learning results of students who acquired collabotive learning versus those who acquired conventional learning. Collaborative learning was able to make students more active in learning so that their understanding to the material seemed to be better. For further research, it is recommended that the subject be expanded to other classes, try other lessons that can improve students mathematics learning outcomes and it is better that improving the students’ learning outcomes be supported with facilities and other supporting factors. Keywords:  Model, Differences, Collaborative Learning, Conventional Learning

Abstract

This study aimed to generate a learning model of Computer Science based on brain research to improve learning outcomes of PTIK students of Dehasen University Bengkulu. Type of this research was a development study that generates a brain-based learning model. The syntaxes were a) introduction; b) coreactivities, including (i) problem-giving phase, (ii) investigation phase, (iii) group discussion phase, (iv) class discussion phase, (v) application phase; c) closing. The development design according to Plomp (in Wahyu Widada: 2012), consists of five phases, namely: initial investigation; design; construction (realization); test, evaluation and revision; and implementation. The subjects of this study were students of PTIK Dehasen University of Bengkulu City academic year 2016/2017.Based on the results of the study and from the test that had been conducted once―which was a limited test, it can be concluded that: all aspects used to state that the learning model and all learning devices developed are practical and effective had been fulfilled, then the development cycle to get a practical and effective learning model has ended.But even if all the criteria were met, some revisions needed to do to get the final Prototype. The revisions were related to the use of language in the model book and student activity sheets. After the revisions were done, the final prototype was obtained, which is a valid, practical, and effective Mathematical Learning Model based on brain research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the Direct Instruction learning model to students’ activeness in Local Area Network (LAN) installations in class X TKJ of SMKN 2 Central Bengkulu. The method used in this research was the descriptive qualitative method. Research on the implementation of the direct instruction learning model to students’ activeness in class X TKJ of SMKN 2 Central Bengkulu, totalling 25 students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research uses interviews and direct observations that can be combined. The results showed the implementation of the direct instruction learning model to students’ activeness in Local Area Network (LAN) installations is implemented by researchers in well-structured stages. Includes orientation, presentation, structured practice, and independent practice. Students’ activeness in the learning process went well and active participation was seen when the researcher applied the direct instruction learning model, as evidenced by the observation sheet of students’ activeness from the 12 elements in the 4 assessment indicators that had been filled in by observers with the results obtained namely that 9 element indicators were 75% while for the other 3 indicator elements it is 25%.

Abstract

Modul belajar berformat komik sebagai media pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh yang sifatnya membangun pemahaman siswa untuk menghayati dan mengamalkan ajaran Islam, yang akan menjadi landasan ibadah dalam kehidupannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan buku teks fikih berformat komik untuk sekolah dasar Islam. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development. Populasi dan sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 1 SD Islam Rabbanni. Hasil kajian pengembangan buku teks aqidah berformat komik ini valid, berdasarkan validasi ahli isi 95%, validasi ahli desain 92,7%, hasil uji coba individu 100%, hasil uji coba kelompok kecil 95%, dan hasil uji coba kelompok besar mencapai 97,82%. . Hasil analisis uji‑t dengan taraf signifikansi 0. 05 menunjukkan bahwa p‑value t‑test adalah 0,00 yang berarti (<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku teks fikih berformat komik dapat berpengaruh signifikan dan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SD Islam

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the ability of teachers to use technology-based media, what media teachers use in the teaching and learning process, and what problems teachers face in using technology-based learning media. This research is a field research that uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely by describing the research object as it is. The subjects of this research are the Principal, PAI Teachers and Students. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and documentation studies. In checking the validity of the data that the writer got in the field, the writer used the triangulation technique, namely; source triangulation, technique triangulation and time triangulation. The research findings show that: first, teachers are able to keep up with the times in using technology-based media in Islamic Religious Education learning, but they do not apply their abilities to the teaching and learning process. Second, in learning tools, Islamic Religious Education teachers have used technology-based learning media although they have not varied, but in reality in the field they only teach conventionally. Third, the problems faced by teachers do not always have a major effect on student learning outcomes. Teachers can carry out their obligations well even though they are not fully supported by learning media.

Abstract

The proposed Community Service (PKM) is "Training and Assistance in Using Geogebra Software for MTsN 2 Central Bengkulu Teachers. This activity is carried out in order to prepare mathematics teachers' knowledge about mathematics software with the Merdeka curriculum and with the rapid development of digital information technology which is starting to enter education World. On this basis, teachers are also required to improve their abilities in the IT field in an effort to support an effective learning process in the current digital era. PKM activity partner at MTsN 2 Central Bengkulu. Teachers at these schools will be given training in using Geogebra software. The specific target to be achieved in this PKM is that mathematics teachers at these partners are able to operate Geogebra software and make Geogebra a learning medium and are able to operate computers as a learning medium so that facilities such as computer labs and others can be used by all teachers at MTsN 2 Central Bengkulu.

Abstract

Students’ critical thinking and their ability to learn outcomes depend on the learning design and student activities. Most of the students use their free time by playing gadgets. Students learn faster with the features contained in gadgets than learning from sources in the form of textbooks. This phenomenon is the background for researchers to develop android-based chemical media which has several menus that can be explored by students in learning. Android-based chemical media was developed using the Smart Apps Creator application. This study aims to develop a digital media that is compatible with the android system. In this study the media is used to improve cognitive learning and critical thinking. In addition, it also aims to evaluate the responses of students in learning chemistry through the topic of Oxidation Reduction Reactions. The development of this media was adapted from the procedure of the interactive mobile learning development process. The collection of evaluation data models that are applied are pre-test and post-test in the test class. Based on the results of the development carried out, it can be concluded that the developed android-based chemical media has met the appropriate criteria. This media can help educators in the learning process effectively and optimally and make students interested in learning chemistry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efetivitas penggunaan Quizizz sebagai  media pembelajaran terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Seluma pada mata pelajaran matematika materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design One Grup Pretes-Posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 33 orang siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Seluma. Instrumen yang digunakan 20 butir pertanyaan angket,  instrument tersebut telah dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil dari angket pretest dan posttest 50,9% dan 87,95% menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan pengujian paired sampel test menunjukan bahwa nilai asym sig. (2-lailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dimana t_hitung   lebih besar dari t_tabel 24,220 > 2,037 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya penggunaan media Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran matematika efektif terhadap minat belajar siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran (X) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Seluma.

Abstract

Many instructors do not use automatically quoting and producing bibliographies, the present service is attempting to assist teachers in using the Mendeley program. This workshop seeks to increase MI Humaira instructors' abilities to cite and write bibliographies using the Mendeley program. The course takes a performance-based approach, although it begins with explaining and providing examples before assisting with installation and sync to Microsoft Word. There were 20 instructors from MI Humaira who took part in this training. The outcome of this exercise was that the participants were able to master Mendeley when writing scientific articles.
