Abstract

Residential area of Jatibening Housing located in Jln. Caman Raya No. 2,Jatibening Village, Pondok Gede Subdistrict, Bekasi City. The condition of drainage in the Jatibening Permai Housing is currently not as good as a whole. This is evidenced by the flooding that still occurs when the rainy season arrives. So that the evaluation and re-planning of the drainage channel must be done by analyzing the calculation of Cross Section data and rainfall data so that the drainage channel dimensions are obtained. This is so that Jatibening Permai Housing is no longer a flood-affected area due to high rainfall. The results of the study show that the reuse period used in channel planning drainage at Jatibening Permai Housing is a 2-year return period with the Type III Log Pearson Method. The planned flood discharge was analyzed by the rational method based on rainfall intensity from the maximum daily rainfall data in the 10 year period of 212.05 mm / hour. The maximum flood discharge of the Jatibening Permai residential area is 1,650 m ^ 3 / second. While planning an infiltration pond in the form of a rectangle measuring 75 m x 55 m with a depth of 5 m can accommodate a volume of rainwater of 20,625 m3.

Abstract

Abstract

A traffic accident is an unexpected and inadvertent road event involving a vehicle with or without other road users that results in human injuries and possibly property damage. This study identifies and analyses the characteristics of Indonesian and Malaysian road traffic incidents. The method used was the identification of crash data coordinates and the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) score per road segment. Accident characteristics are based on the type of road traffic accident, and collision is the most common type of accident. Speed data of two vehicles, cars and motorcycles, was collected through the test driver method by using the same vehicles for cars and motorcycles and following their normal driving habits. From the analysis results, some factors causing accidents on the Bekasi Narogong Road Section are the lack of traffic signs, road surface conditions, and lack of clear road markings. While on the FT050 Johor federal road, every kilometre per segment and along the segment, motorcycles are faster than cars in terms of speed.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify ways to enhance service quality, with the expectation of providing effective handling solutions and input for related parties in the context of sustainable urban development, particularly in Transjakarta. One hundred surveys were sent to passengers utilizing Transjakarta services on the BKN-Depok route, after which the data were processed and analyzed using IPA and QFD methodologies. Based on the results of the analysis of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods, here is a positive relationship between fulfillment of customer requirements identified through QFD and improved bus performance, strengthening service maintenance and repair SOPs and periodic monitoring and evaluation of the system are the main concerns and must be improved. This study provides valuable insights for educational management, particularly in developing curricula that integrate aspects of public services and urban transportation. The findings underscore the importance of enhancing students’ understanding of quality management methodologies, such as IPA and QFD, to improve the management of sustainable public transportation systems.

Abstract

University students, as a significant demographic group in urban environments, play a crucial role in daily commuting activities. Understanding their travel patterns and transportation mode preferences is essential for promoting sustainable and efficient urban planning. This study aimed to evaluate students' transportation mode preferences using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) method, processed through Expert Choice software.Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 119 full-time students. The analysis considered four main criteria: cost (C1), flexibility (C2), reliability (C3), and comfort (C4), across three transportation modes: private vehicles (M1), public transport (M2), and online-based transportation (M3). Results indicate that the majority of students (64.2%) prefer private vehicles, with cost being the most influential criterion (60.9%), followed by flexibility (20.8%), reliability (10.7%), and comfort, which was the least influential criterion (7.6%). This study provides valuable insights for policymakers to design urban transportation systems that better address the needs of university students.
