Abstract

This study aims to explore how changes in community preferences, shari’ah economic development through the tridharma of higher education and its contribution to the development of shari’ah economics. This study was conducted at the UIN Alauddin Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This study applied library research. Data collection techniques in this study using discourse from books, articles, magazines, journals, and web (internet). Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, among others, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results show that there is a change in community preferences caused by external factors (changes in the social and economic environment) and internal factors in higher education in responding to community dynamics. Higher education can be used as a vehicle in the development of shari’ah Economy through the application of higher education tridharma. Furthermore, higher education also takes a significant role in developing scientific aspects and human resources in the field of Sharia Economics in Indonesia.

Abstract

Numerous complications in conveying students’ideas and comprehending the words from teachers due to lack of academic vocabulary Many teaching techniques or strategies the teacher can use to make students learn the vocabulary effectively. This study aims at examining the effectiveness of Computer-based Flashcard Program (CFP) is effective in teaching vocabulary. Pre-experimental method with one group pretest and posttest was the design of this study. This study involved thirty one students of Islamic Junior High School in Makassar city, Indonesia chosen conveniently. The data were collected through a vocabulary test to examine the effectiveness of CFP to improve the vocabulary mastery using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest. This study found that use of CFP is effective to improve vocabulary mastery

Abstract

Cultural diversity is a necessity or is a Sunnatullah that occurs in human life. The existence of Allah SWT. Creating human beings with ethnicity and nationhood in essence created a diverse culture. We can see this in Indonesia, which is a pluralistic society, each tribe or region has its own cultural characteristics. To reveal the diversity of cultures the perspective of the Qur'an in this paper is used by Al-Farmawy's method of interpretation Al-Maudhui with a multi-interpretation approach (some interpretations that you use). This is intended to reveal the diversity of cultures in the Qur'an in a systematic and in-depth manner. With theological studies (based on al-Qur'an) on cultural diversity possessed by humans can strengthen faith by having an understanding that we have diversity and cultural differences between people. So as to foster awareness and mutual acceptance, respect and tolerance among fellow children. In the end, fostering a sense of unity and unity, the creation of a peaceful and peaceful society. Or the people of Baldatun Thoyyibah Wa Rabbun Ghofur.

Abstract

The educational curriculum’s current challenge is to use appropriate approaches during the Covid-19 days. This study aimed to investigate the multiple intelligence learning approaches (MILA) which were used to provide students’ competence in English writing skills in an institute of IAIN Sorong, West Papua Province, Indonesia. In terms of it the multiple intelligence learning approaches introduced interactive, analytic, and introspective domains which cover elements of linguistics, mathematics, visual, kinesthetic, music, intra-personal, interpersonal, naturalistic, and existential or spiritual. Those elements would be appropriately implemented to upgrade students’ English writing skills. This study employed a survey method using lists of questionnaires to obtain qualified data which were collected through eight English lecturers, four staff curriculum developers, and eighty students. The findings conclude that most respondents felt contented and interested in developing and upgrading English writing skills using the Multiple Intelligence Learning Approaches. The results of this research claimed that the lecturers require the MILA to be more widely used to upgrade students’ writing skills. Also, the practitioners on campus should make together the strategies to be included in MILA for teaching English writing skills as recommended by the national education curriculum.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to explore the integration of compulsion strategy and podcasts in improving the students’ English-speaking skills. It’s a teaching challenge in integrating appropriate strategy and media to upgrade students’ English-speaking skills. This study used a mixed-methods to explore the students’ English-speaking skills in integrating the compulsion strategy. A test investigated 42 English students at the Tarbiyah faculty of IAIN Sorong, Indonesia. It tested fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar through podcasts. The results showed that most students achieved significant improvement in English-speaking skills after integrating them. The questionnaire was focused on humanism methods: structured planning, regular control, learners’ management, training, the building of interactions, reflection on achievement progress, and re-evaluation of improvement progress. It showed that 86 percent decided strongly agreed and were interested in learning speaking skills utilizing compulsion strategy through podcasts. An interview investigated six respondents whether the compulsion strategy and podcasts could improve students’ English-speaking skills or not. It indicated that most students acquired advantages: enthusiasm to learn English, high self-confidence, and interest in compelled methods using humanism approaches in the teaching process.  Therefore, it is recommended to use a compulsion strategy in collaboration with podcast media for teaching and learning English as a foreign language. Keywords: Compulsion Strategy, Podcasts, English-Speaking Skills, Teaching and Learning, Humanism Approaches

Abstract

This research aims to plan the process of internalizing Islamic education values ​​in character building for students at Inpraes 2 Wagon Elementary School, implementing the process of internalizing Islamic education values ​​in character building for students at Inpres 2 Wagom Elementary School, evaluating the process of internalizing Islamic education values ​​in character building. in Inpres 2 Wagom Elementary School students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, a data mining method using interview methods, hearing aids, cameras and observation phones. Documentation. Primary data sources are the school principal and teacher. Data analysis methods use, Data Reduction (Data Redukcion), data presentation (Data Display), Data verification (Conduction/Drawing). The internalization of Islamic education values ​​in character formation at SD Inpres 2 Wagom is carried out by referring to the principle that students are assessed by looking at the extent of their understanding, appreciation and practice of students' behavior.
