Abstract

Interpersonal communication is an interaction between two people or a small group of people with some feedback effects. Self-disclosure has great benefits in improving self-understanding. Honest and open self-disclosure allows individuals to reflect on and evaluate their feelings and thoughts more clearly. This study aims to determine the effect of self-disclosure on interpersonal communication between parents and late adolescents in the city of Banjarmasin. This study employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population was determined by the Central Statistics Agency to be 1,092,878, with the research sample consisting of 100 respondents aged 18–21 years. Data collection utilized a Likert scale with incidental sampling techniques, analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The analysis results indicate a significant positive influence between self-disclosure and interpersonal communication, with a result of 0.567. This means that the higher the self-disclosure, the better the quality of interpersonal communication. The frequency distribution of both variables resulted in a moderate category.

Abstract

Employee class programs are increasingly in demand, especially among individuals who are already employed. However, juggling dual roles as both worker and student presents various challenges, such as managing work and academic tasks, dividing attention and energy, and adapting to different environments. If not managed properly, these challenges may lead to several issues, particularly in maintaining work-life balance, academic performance, and personal well-being, which could negatively affect self-acceptance. This study aims to examine the effect of self-acceptance on work-life balance among students who work while pursuing their studies. This research employs a quantitative method. The sampling technique used was random sampling, with a total of 100 participants. A simple linear regression analysis was conducted. The results show a significant positive effect of self-acceptance on work-life balance, with an R value of 0.825 and R² of 0.681 (p < 0.001). This indicates that the higher an individual’s self-acceptance, the better their ability to balance work and personal life. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the results be used as a foundation in designing programs or policies that support the psychological well-being of students who work while attending college. ABSTRAK Program kelas karyawan semakin digandrungi, terlebih oleh individu yang sudah mempunyai pekerjaan. Namun, menjalani peran selaku pekerja dan mahasiswa membawa berbagai tantangan, seperti mengelola tugas kerja dan kuliah, membagi perhatian serta energi, dan menyesuaikan diri di lingkungan yang berbeda. Jika tidak ditangani dengan baik, tantangan ini dapat memicu berbagai masalah, terutama dalam menjaga work life balance, studi, dan kehidupan pribadi, yang berisiko memberikan dampak negatif pada self acceptance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self acceptance terhadap work life balance pada mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif. Pengambilan teknik yang diterapkan ialah teknik random sampling dengan total keseluruhan partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 individu. Peneliti menjalankan uji analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara self acceptance serta work life balance, dengan nilai R sebesar 0,825 dan R² sebesar 0,681 (p < 0,001). Artinya makin tinggi self acceptance seseorang maka makin tinggi keseimbangan kehidupan kerjanya maupun kehidupan personalnya. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan menjadi dasar dalam merancang program atau kebijakan yang mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah.

Abstract

Somatic symptom disorder (SSD) merupakan gangguan yang ditandai dengan gejala fisik yang timbul akibat masalah psikologis. Gejala ini banyak ditemukan pada individu dewasa awal dan sering dikaitkan dengan pengalaman masa kecil yang tidak menyenangkan (adverse childhood experiences/ACEs). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ACEs dengan kecenderungan SSD pada individu dewasa awal di Kota Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner WHO ACE-IQ dan SSS-8. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (rho = 0,37: p <0.001), menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara adverse childhood experiences dengan kecenderungan somatic symptom disorder pada individu dewasa awal di Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Caregiver burden refers to the psychosocial strain experienced by caregivers as a result of their involvement in providing long-term care for older adults, both from a subjective and objective perspective. One factor assumed to influence the level of caregiver burden is leisure satisfaction, which reflects the positive perceptions that arise from engaging in leisure activities. The present study aims to examine whether leisure satisfaction has an effect on caregiver burden at PPRSLU Budi Sejahtera. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 40 respondents were recruited using a total sampling technique. The instruments applied were the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS) and the Zarit Burden Interview. Simple linear regression analysis was conducted to assess the influence of leisure satisfaction (independent variable) on caregiver burden (dependent variable). The linearity test yielded a significance value of p = 0.771 (p > 0.05), indicating that leisure satisfaction did not have a significant effect on caregiver burden. Therefore, the proposed hypothesis was not supported. In conclusion, leisure satisfaction does not significantly affect caregiver burden. This study contributes to the literature on caregiver burden by demonstrating that leisure satisfaction alone does not explain the strain experienced by caregivers, suggesting that other factors need to be considered in understanding caregiver burden among those caring for older adults

Abstract

Bullying in the school environment is still a serious problem that has a negative impact on students' well-being, both physically, psychologically and socially. This phenomenon creates an environment that does not support the optimal development of student potential, especially in the context of psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the description of psychological well-being students who are victims of bullying at SMA X Banjarmasin City. The method used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to two research subjects. Data collection used are semi-structured interviews and observation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study illustrate that the psychological well-being of students who are victims of bullying at SMA X Banjarmasin City is different based on the dimensions of psychological well-being. Students who are victims of bullying who have good psychological well-being are characterized by the fulfillment of four of the six dimensions, namely self-acceptance, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. Meanwhile, students who are victims of bullying who have poor psychological well-being are characterized by the fulfillment of only two of the six dimensions, namely autonomy and purpose in life.

Abstract

Community advisors are human resources (HR) within the Correctional Center organization. The problem that the researchers took was the social advisor, who did not carry out his duties and functions by the applicable institutional laws and regulations. This study aims to determine the influence of religiosity on the organization's commitment to the community guidance of Bapas Class I Banjarmasin. This research method uses a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis. Sampling in this study used non-probability sampling techniques with the total sample method. The subject of this study is the community supervisor of Bapas Class I Banjarmasin, with as many as 32 subjects. The scale used in this study is the religiosity and organizational commitment scale, with the scaling model being the Likert scale. The result of this study is that there is a significant influence between religiosity and organizational commitment. The coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.885 with a value (Sig.)
