Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a condition in which the mother has a hemoglobin level below 11 gr% in the first and third trimesters, and a level below 10.5 gr% in the second trimester. Most anemia in pregnancy is caused by iron deficiency and acute bleeding. Purpose: The effectiveness of giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Methods: True experiment with pretest and posttest control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling obtained a sample of 34 respondents, namely 17 control and intervention groups. Analysis using the Independent t-test. Results: The Independent t-test statistical test resulted in p=0.001<0.05, meaning there was an influence of Ambon Banana, Avocado and Honey juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Conclusion: Giving ambon banana, avocado and honey juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Bananas contain iron which will stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood. Avocados have important nutrients, namely vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, folic acid, potassium and quite high levels of calories and fat which are useful as a source of energy. Honey contains important minerals which help form hemoglobin.

The sample in this study was 32 mothers who had babies aged > 6 months at PT.RHS East Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The sampling method used a simple random sampling technique. Data collection uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi square statistical test. The research results showed that of the 32 respondents, the majority did not provide exclusive breastfeeding, 20 people (62.5%), the majority with low motivation, 18 people (56.3%), and most of them took the appropriate length of maternity leave (3 months). before giving birth 1.5 months and after giving birth 1.5 months, namely 17 people (53.1%).Data analysis using statistical tests with Chi Square shows that the significance level is 0.000 < α = 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, thus there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers in terms of motivation factors and length of maternity leave at PT.RHS, Seruyan Regency. East, Central Kalimantan. Meanwhile, the results of the logistic regression test showed a relationship between motivation and length of maternity leave with exclusive breastfeeding at PT.RHS, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The motivation variable has a stronger relationship with exclusive breastfeeding with an OR value of 24.686 compared to the length of maternity leave variable with an OR value of 16.941.It was concluded that the success factor in providing exclusive breastfeeding was low motivation and insufficient maternity and maternity leave. So it is necessary to strengthen the motivation of breastfeeding mothers so they can provide exclusive breast milk.

Abstract

Toddlers who lack sufficient nutritional intake will most likely have a decreased immune system, making them susceptible to infectious diseases which can affect their appetite and absorption of nutrients, causing malnutrition. Toddlers who often experience infectious diseases and malnutrition will easily experience growth and development disorders at this age, which will affect the child's level of health and intelligence as well as productivity in the subsequent growth period. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of education using videos on nutritional knowledge in mothers of malnourished toddlers. This research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental research design, one group pre-test post test with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was 72 mothers who had malnourished toddlers in the working area of the Sanur Health Center, Nunukan Regency, using a purposive sampling technique. The Wilcoxon statistical test was used to determine the effectiveness of education using videos on nutritional knowledge in malnourished mothers of toddlers. The results of research from 72 respondents, almost all respondents experienced an increase in knowledge, namely 41 respondents (55,9%) who had a sufficient level of knowledge and 31 respondents (43,1%) who had a good level of knowledge. .The results of bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000 < 0.05, so the HI was accepted because there was the effectiveness of education using videos on nutritional knowledge in malnourished mothers of toddlers. It can be used as evaluation material to improve educational methods that are more interesting and it is hoped that it can increase knowledge about nutrition in toddlers.

Abstract

Background: Early marriage poses a health risk, especially if pregnancy occurs because the reproductive organs, especially the uterus and other reproductive organs, are not yet fully developed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between early marriage and adolescent girls' reproductive health and healthy pregnancy planning. Methods: This research is quantitative research. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The sampling technique used was total sampling, all married adolescent girls in Kraksaan Wetan Village, Probolinggo Regency, Indonesia, totaling 37 people. This study used a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire to measure general data in the form of age, education, and occupation. In addition to questionnaires for general data, there were also questionnaires used to measure specific data, such as the variables of adolescent girls' reproductive health and pregnancy planning—univariate data analysis with frequency distribution, bivariate data analysis with chi-square. Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents' reproductive health was in an unhealthy condition, with as many as 20 people (54.05%). The majority of respondents had poor pregnancy planning, as many as 23 people (62.16%). The results of data analysis with SPSS using chi square informed that the p value was 0.582 (α=0.05). Conclusion: The results showed that there is no correlation between early marriage and adolescent girls' reproductive health and healthy pregnancy planning in Kraksaan Wetan Village, Probolinggo Regency. Teenage girls should get enough information about reproductive health before marriage, and parents should delay early marriage before they are more than 19 years old.
