Abstract

The research to examine the dinamics of social change that occured in Wotanmas Jedong Village, Mojokerto Regency, during the period 1980-2010. This periode was chosen because it reflects a significant transition period, marked by the entry of industry, modernization, and the flow of globalization which influenced the economic structure and socio-cultural life of village communities. This research use histories method, field observation, in-depth interview, and literature study. The research result show that there has been a major transformation from a traditional agrarian sosiety to semi industrial society, which is characterized by a shift in livelihoods from the agricultural sector to the industrial and service sectors, an increase in education levels, and changes in people's values and lifestyles. Nevertheless, the community is still trying to preserve traditional values through the revitalization of local culture sich as the kenduren, selametan, and ruwat desa traditions. This finding shows that the modernization process does not completely erase local identity, but instead encourages communities to adapt and strengthen traditional values ​​in the context of changing times.

Abstract

The research aimed to examine and explore more deeply how the development of Kedungcangkring Batik as a form of local wisdom in Sidoarjo Regency. In addition, the batik business that has been running from time to time since 1940 to 2024 is the subject of discussion in the research. The role of Batik Kedungcangkring and its relevance to the world of education, especially history education is also the purpose of the research. This research is classified as qualitative research using the historical approach method with four stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The research also combines literature review and field research. The results show that Kedungcangkring batik business developed into a business that is able to adapt through various times through a combination of strategies such as product diversification, motif and color innovation, utilization of digital technology, empowerment of local communities and collaboration with the government and external parties. Batik Kedungcangkring also contributes to the world of education as a source of local history, raising awareness of history and cultural identity, becoming an interactive learning medium, and strengthening local-based entrepreneurship education. Various challenges and opportunities in maintaining the business also color the dynamics of the development of Batik Kedungcangkring Sidoarjo. In addition, Batik Kedungcangkring not only focuses on the development of its business but also develops the socio-cultural aspects of the surrounding community through batik training and school construction.

Abstract

The background of this research is the Pari Temple as one of the historical sites in Sidoarjo Regency that can serve as a source for learning History. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the Pari Temple as a source of historical learning, as well as to understand the students' responses. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is conducted through interviews with students, teachers, and the management of the Pari Temple. Field observations are made to observe student interactions during visits to the Pari Temple. Questionnaires are given to students to ascertain their responses. The validity of the data is ensured through data triangulation by comparing the results of interviews, observations, and questionnaires to ensure the accuracy of the obtained information. The research results show that Candi Pari as a learning resource is a cultural heritage rich in historical values, possesses architectural value, and can be used as a source of historical learning. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Candi Pari is an effective learning resource in history education.

Abstract

Kepastian hukum dalam penyelesaian sengketa reklamasi Pulau C (PIK 2) menjadi tantangan signifikan akibat ketidakjelasan kerangka hukum yang memanfaatkan wilayah pesisir serta pulau-pulau kecil, seperti ditetapkan pada pasal 9 Undang undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2007 mengenai pengelolaan wilayah pesisir dan pulau-pulau kecil (UU PWP-2K) ) yang hingga kini hanya mengalami perubahan minimal melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2014, sehingga menyebabkan ketidakpastian dalam pengambilan keputusan oleh Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen (BPSK) yang kurang memiliki kewenangan menindak pelanggaran oleh pengembang, seperti yang terungkap dalam studi penyelesaian sengketa di Pulau C dan D serta permasalahan yang muncul dari pembeli properti yang berencana menggugat pengembang ke pengadilan. Kepastian hukum juga terancam oleh perbedaan kepentingan antara aspek sosial-ekonomi masyarakat pesisir yang terdampak, seperti dalam proyek PIK 2 yang mengubah struktur ekonomi dan sosial di Teluknaga, dan tujuan pembangunan infrastruktur skala besar yang berdampak pada tata ruang laut. Dengan demikian, pembahasan tentang kepastian hukum, penyelesaian sengketa, reklamasi Pulau C, PIK 2, UU PWP-2K, serta tata ruang laut secara menyeluruh diperlukan untuk menjamin keadilan, perlindungan hukum, serta keseimbangan antara pembangunan dan kelestarian lingkungan serta hak-hak masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

This research discusses the history of Jonggan traditional dance in the Dayak Kanayatn community, West Kalimantan, from 1998 to 2025. The research objectives include understanding the dynamics, socio-cultural roles, and relevance of Jonggan dance to education in that time span. The research uses historical method with four stages: source collection (heuristics), source criticism (verification), interpretation, and writing (historiography). The results showed that Jonggan dance experienced significant changes due to technological advances and the influence of foreign cultures. Its popularity has decreased because the younger generation is less concerned about preserving it, causing a decrease in value in society. The meaning of the dance also shifted from sacred rituals and cultural identity to commercial performances that lost symbolic and spiritual contexts. Sacred elements, such as social satire verses are now diminishing due to excessive commercialization. The change in values occurred because indigenous people began to adjust to modern entertainment, such as local bands and DJs that are more attractive to the younger generation. As a result, Jonggan dance is considered boring and has lost its appeal. The regeneration crisis of Jonggan dance is getting worse due to the lack of support from the government and educational institutions. This shows that without serious preservation efforts, traditional dances such as Jonggan can become extinct and lose their place in the socio-cultural life of the Dayak Kanayatn community.

Abstract

This research aims to understand students' how capability to generate creative ideas through the use of mind mapping method compares to conventional method. The research is aiamed at achieving specific objecktives, as follows: 1) To know the planning in history learning using the mind mapping method, 2) To understand the implementation of mind mapping techniques in history lessons, 3) To assess the outcomes of the mind mapping technique during the history learning process. The present research method uses a qualitative approach which results in descriptive information in the form of communication in the form of speech or text from individuals or behaviors that are observable. Based on the findings of the study, implementation of the mind mapping techniques has been proven to effectively support students' creative thinking skills, as well as making the learning process more active and less monotonous compared to conventional teaching methods. Additionally, the he implementation of mind mapping witten history education has a positive impact and has theability to significantly encouraging the improvement of learners creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop digital learning media in the form of interactive flipbooks (Flipgames) to enhance students' creativity in history learning. The background of this study is the minimal use of digital media, which has resulted in low student engagement. Flipgames integrate multimedia elements (images, videos, audio, animations) with educational games (quizzes, puzzles, interactive challenges). The research used the R&D method with the Borg and Gall model and a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 10th grade students at SMK PGRI 2 Sidoarjo through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of expert validation of the media (92%) and material (88%) showed high feasibility, while field trials received a positive response from 98.99% of students. The validity test showed that 13 of the 15 items were valid, and Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.812 indicated high consistency. The findings confirm that Flipgames are effective in increasing student creativity and engagement, with the novelty of integrating game-based learning in a digital flipbook format.
