Abstract

English: This article focuses on the Mission of the Passionist as a Tool of Catechesis (Beverly Thought Catechesis Overview). I am interested and have anxieties discussing articles about the mission of the Passionists as a means of catechesis for the faith of Catholics in West Kalimantan for several reasons. First, Catholics in the interior need a refreshing faith. Second, through the mission of the Passionists, the people are invited to be closer to the crucified Christ and at the same time live the suffering of Jesus. Third, the people need enlightenment of faith on the part of the Church as a hierarchy. Finally, through this article I would like to introduce you to the spirituality and charism of the Passionist Congregation today. The method I use in writing this article is through personal interviews and literature. After going through interviews and obtaining data through literature then analyzed and combined. Thus, the results from the field and the results from the literature found a suitable thought between Beverly's thinking and the implementation of the Mission of the Passionists. The results of the ideas of Beverly and the Mission of the Passionists are a means of evaluating and seeing this mission in a comprehensive and holistic manner. Therefore, passionist spirituality continually renews itself with knowledge, research, and research on a mission or mission. The mission of the Passionists is to be a fine axis and torch in the witness of the proclamation of the mission of the Church in the world. This mission does not stop at the completion of the program but continues and is lived out by the faithful. Bahasa Indonesia: Artikel ini memiliki fokus pada Misi Umat Pasionis sebagai Sarana Katekese (Tinjauan Katekese Pemikiran Beverly). Saya tertarik dan memiliki kegelisahan membahas artikel tentang misi umat pasionis sebagai sarana katekese iman umat Katolik di Kalimantan barat karena beberapa alasan. Pertama, umat Katolik di pedalaman membutuhkan penyegaran iman. Kedua, melalui misi Umat Pasionis ini umat diajak untuk semakin dekat dengan Kristus tersalib sekaligus menghayati penderitaan Yesus. Ketiga, umat membutuhkan pencerahan iman dari pihak Gereja sebagai hirarki. Terakhir bahwa melalui artikel ini saya hendak mengenalkan spiritualitas dan kharisma Kongregasi Pasionis di masa sekarang ini. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini ialah melalui wawancara personal dan kepustakaan. Setelah melalui wawancara dan memperoleh data melalui kepustakaan kemudian dianalisis dan dikombinasikan. Dengan demikian hasil dari lapangan dan hasil dari kepustakaan ditemukan suatu pemikiran yang sesuai antara pemikiran Beverly dan pelaksanaan Misi Umat Pasionis. Hasil dari cetusan pemikiran Beverly dan Misi Umat Pasionis menjadi sarana untuk evaluasi dan melihat misi ini secara komprehensif dan holistik. Maka dari itu, spiritualitas pasionis terus menerus membaharui diri dengan ilmu, peneletian, riset yang mumpuni tentang suatu pewartaan atau misi. Misi Umat Pasionis menjadi sumbu dan obor yang baik dalam kesaksian pewartaan misi Gereja di dunia. Misi ini tidak berhenti pada selesainya acara melainkan terus berlangsung dan dihidupi umat beriman.

Abstract

English: This paper focuses on the activities of Bina Iman Remaja (BIR) during the pandemic. Adolescent Faith Building is a form of Categorial Catechesis of the Ummah. The covid-19 pandemic is bringing big changes to the world and people. Starting to have restrictions on community activities to reduce the rate of spread of covid-19. Many community activities are limited, even canceled for an indefinite period. The Church cannot avoid this because the Church is in the middle of the world. The church has also responded to this situation by taking a policy to conduct several ecclesiastical activities online. One of the activities carried out online is Youth Faith Development. The methodology that the researcher uses in making this paper is a qualitative method, namely by conducting personal interviews with respondents. My finding in this study is that online Youth Faith Development activities are not effective for the development of the faith of Catholic Youth. Bahasa Indonesia: Tulisan ini berfokus pada kegiatan Bina Iman Remaja (BIR) selama masa pandemi. Bina Iman Remaja merupakan salah satu bentuk dari Katekese Kategorial Umat. Pandemi covid-19 membawa perubahan besar bagi dunia dan manusia. Mulai adanya pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat guna menekan laju penyebaran covid-19. Banyak kegiatan masyarakat yang dibatasi, bahkan ditiadakan untuk waktu yang tidak ditentukan. Gereja tidak bisa menghindari hal ini karena Gereja ada di tengah dunia. Gereja pun menanggapi situasi ini dengan mengambil kebijakan untuk melakukan beberapa kegiatan gerejawi secara online. Salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan secara online adalah Bina Iman Remaja. Metodologi yang peneliti gunakan dalam pembuatan tulisan ini adalah metode kualitatif, yakni dengan melakukan wawancara pribadi dengan responden. Temuan saya dalam penelitian ini ialah bahwa kegiatan Bina Iman Remaja yang dilakukan secara online tidak efektif bagi perkembangan iman kaum Remaja Katolik.

Abstract

Kitab Suci merupakan sumber iman Gereja akan Yesus Kristus. Gereja melihat Kitab suci ini sebagai buku iman yang berisikan perjalanan hidup Yesus 2000 tahun lalu. Berangkat dari kesadaran itu, anggota Gereja atau umat Allah sendiri harus melihat Kitab Suci dan aktivitas membaca Kitab Suci adalah bagian yang sangat sentral dan penting, apalagi jika mengambil waktu khusus untuk merenungkannya. Maka dari itu, Gereja harus juga mengambil sikap demi ketertarikan dan keinginan umat dalam bergumul pembacaan Kitab suci serta berdinamika sedemikian rupa sehingga mengantar umat untuk sampai kepada Allah. Apalagi di masa pandemi covid-19 seperti saat ini, di mana orang lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu di rumah bersama keluarga atau pun sendirian. Gereja perlu menggalakkan kegiatan yang berorientasi pada praktek pembacaan dan merenungkan Kitab suci sebagai upaya menumbuhkan dan mendewasakan iman mereka akan Yesus Kristus, seperti seminar Kitab Suci daring, pendalaman iman daring atau luring, dan banyak cara yang dapat digunakan sebagai sarana bina cinta Kitab suci di kalangan umat beriman maupun kaum klerus sendiri. Dengan demikian, cita-cita Gereja sebagai persekutuan iman yang mendasarkan hidupnya pada sabda Allah yang ditemukan dan direnungkan berkat bacaan Kitab suci dapat menjadi corak positif dan menunjukkan kasih yang sanga mendalan akan Allah. Konteks Gereja yang akan dibahas pada tulisan ini ialah konteks Gereja Keuskupan Agung Pontianak. Dalam hal ini, umat Allah diharapkan secara aktif menanggapi tugas dan panggilan mereka di Gereja, yang dimulai dari bina cinta Kitab Suci, terlebih di masa pandemi covid-19 ini.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan para kaum berjubah, setiap komunitas baik ordo maupun tarekat pasti memiliki sosok atau figur yang dapat diteladani hidupnya. Biasanya hal yang diteladani dari figur tersebut ialah kesucian hidupnya, kesetiaannya, keberaniannya dalam mewartakan firman Tuhan, bahkan rela kehilangan nyawanya demi misi perutusannya dan lain sebagainya. Singkat kata, figur yang diteladani dalam kehidupan kaum berjubah dalam komunitas maupun ordo adalah pribadi yang tangguh, baik dalam hal rohani maupun jasmani serta memiliki pengaruh bagi kehidupan Gereja pada zamannya. Karya tulis ini hendak membahas mengenai salah satu figur tersebut, yaitu Eugene Bossilkov. Dia adalah seorang biarawan Kongregasi Pasionis (CP). Siapa Eugene Bossilkov? Bagaimana situasi kehidupan Gereja pada zamannya? Apa yang istimewa dari figur Eugene Bossilkov? Bagaimana relevansinya bagi para Pasionis yang berkarya di Indonesia ini? Pertanyaan inilah yang hendak penulis tampilkan dalam karya tulis ini. Tujuan penulis mengangkat tema ini karena penulis sendiri ingin mendalami dan mengetahui Eklesiologi dan pergulatan-pergulatan Eugene Bossilkov mewartakan Kristus Tersalib dalam pelayanannya. Setelah mendalaminya penulis menelisik apa sumbangannya atau relevansinya bagi Pasionis dalam menjalankan misinya di Indonesia. Tema ini penulis garap dengan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan kajian kepustakaan. Dari studi ini penulis menemukan bahwa dalam menjalankan misinya di Indonesia, para Pasionis berhadapan dengan keberagaman agama dan masyarakat yang majemuk. Oleh karena itu, semangat yang dimiliki Beato Eugene Bossilkov ini masih relevan untuk diaplikasikan oleh para Pasionis dalam berkarya di Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper focuses on elaboration on the phenomenon of religious conversion. This phenomenon on the one hand can be said to be an expression of religious freedom. Religious freedom itself is governed by the Constitution, the Declaration on Human Rights and some Church documents. However, on the other hand, conversion of religion can also be seen as weak militancy of the faith, which in this context is the catholic faith in the Catholic Church. In this paper, the author will put the assumption of the occurrence of this phenomenon of religious conversion in the second point, namely because of the weak militancy of faith. Therefore, this phenomenon must be found a solution as an effort to overcome it. The militancy of faith is very important in religious life, so this needs to be addressed. In writing this article, the author uses the library research method. The author conducted readings of several supporting sources and several Church documents as the main sources of this study. Then, the findings or commentary of this study is an effort to overcome the phenomenon of religious conversion can be overcome by conducting a catechism of family faith coaching, which focuses on the fides quae aspect of the life of the believer.

Abstract

The presence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on human life, especially the Church itself. For the Church itself, the perceived influence is that the Church has been led to a policy of changing its pastoral ministry, which is usually face-to-face, now using online or online media. The result of this policy is that the activities of the faithful become obstructed. One of the activities of the faithful that has been impacted by the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic is Catholic Child Development (BIAK). Since the pandemic era, BIAK, which is usually done face-to-face, has now changed to BIAK online . This activity has been carried out by the St. Parish. The Virgin Mary from Mount Karmel, Malang. The changes that have occurred indicate that the Church has a listening attitude, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This situation brings a new face to BIAK, namely BIAK online which is increasingly modern.

Abstract

Christians today are apparently lacking in giving meaning to their daily lives according to their vocation. Their way of life tends to regard pleasure and enjoyment of material matters as the main goal in life. Its consequences are clear, namely, their lives feel empty and they are easily discouraged. Such a way of life is similar to the situation of the Christians at the time of Montfort, namely many of them glorified worldly possessions by organizing wild parties. Responding to this situation, Montfort propagates the spirituality of Consecration of Self to bring Christians into union with Christ. Consecration of Self is a perfect way to come to Jesus and unite with Him. Renewing the Christian spirit isn’t but renewing the unity and likeness with Christ. According to Montfort’s conviction, this union with Christ is more intensively achieved through Mary. Meaning, perfection of life cannot be reached through a materialistic, hedonistic, and consumerist way of life. In other words, being a Christian means being ready to live up to one’s vocation to become more Christ-like. Consecration of Self is not only related to outward actions but is also related to living it interiorly. Outward action becomes the realization of internalization. Outward actions will also help Christians to achieve internalization. The combination of the two brings Christians to holiness. Consecration of Self is ultimately a powerful means to stimulating the strength of spiritual life within us, so that our likeness with Jesus Christ becomes increasingly perfect.

Abstract

Catholic Youth Participation in acolyte care St. Montfort Serawai. The problem in this research was the level of involvement of young Catholics in parish pastoralism. It turned out that the young Catholics in this parish are sometimes only semi-active in parish acolyte care. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that cause young Catholics to be semi- active in parish pastoral care so that this problem can be addressed properly. This study used a qualitative research method, with a questionnaire via google form to young Catholics in Parrish St. Montfort Serawai. This questionnaire allows the author to assess the situation of young Catholics in pastoral life in the parish. There were 43 people who answered the questionnaire. The data were processed by categorizing and organizing them so that it can provide research results based on the data. Based on the findings of this study, young Catholics began to be actively involved in pastoral life in Parish St. Montfort Serawai.

Abstract

Taking part in the ministry of the Catholic Church is a noble and sacred duty because it is directed to Jesus Christ, the owner and head of the Church. Ministry is seen as a spiritual activity that is routinely carried out in the Catholic Christian community, in this case what wants to be discussed in this study is the service of Catholic youth community (OMK) to the church, especially in rural areas. The understanding of the concept of the church began with the formation of a special community, namely the nation of Israel chosen by God and bound by covenant with God. The Church is the fruit of Christ's work which adopts the analogy of the human body to illustrate that there is nothing else, but rather each member has a different function to build and grow the body of Christ. Seeing importance role of young people as the body of Christ who also contributes to building the body of Christ, the church needs to seriously think about youth ministry because youth service is very influential on the growth of the church itself.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the socio-cultural influence and challenges of urban communities for the passion of marriage promises from Catholic couples and the importance of involvement in the ecclesiastical base group environment for the passion of marriage. Marriage for Catholics is a lifelong communion between a man and a woman and is open to the birth and education of a child. This study was conducted using a methodology between interviews and literature studies. Researchers conducted interviews with five Catholic couples who lived in one of the base environments of Ijen Parish, Diocese of Malang, namely the Santa Clara neighborhood. This research found that the socio-cultural life of urban society today is really a severe challenge for the marriage passion of Catholic families. Many of the lifestyles that develop in the socio-cultural context of urban societies today clash with the nature of marriage according to the Catholic Church. In the midst of these challenges, participation in ecclesiastical base groups is a great way to help couples stay true to their marital vows. The ecclesiastical base group became the place where they gained edification, shared, and supported each other in the light of God's word.
