Abstract

This article focuses on efforts to explore the contribution of the teachings of St. Marial Formation. Louis Marie de Montfort for the appreciation of Marial devotion in Indonesia. Marial devotion is an integral part of Catholic spirituality and its appreciation is very well developed in Indonesia. However, there are quite a few people who carry out devotional practices without being accompanied by an understanding of correct Marial reflection so that the possible consequence is minimal social involvement in the concrete reality of living together in Indonesia. St. Louis Marie de Montfort is one of the theologians and mystics who offers the teaching of Marial formation as a path to correct reflection about Mary. Marial Formation is a term that refers to spiritual formation or spiritual formation which is focused on the way Mary, the mother of Jesus, believed in God. The literature method will be used in this research and the status of the questionnaire proposed is how Marial formation teachings contribute to the appreciation of Marial devotion in Indonesia. This research found that Marial formation teachings help provide a foundation for Marian devotion, provide spiritual education for devotees, and spur social involvement among Marial devotional adherents in Indonesia

Abstract

The post-pandemic period is full of challenges for urban churches in Surabaya. While having to survive, he must also continue interpreting his presence as an extension of the mission of the Kingdom of God. Rumah Singgah is a manifestation of GKI Pregolan Bunder's participatory-transformative diakonia mission as an ecclesiological response to the urban context in Central Surabaya. This mission is based on the redemptive work of Christ. It runs on an intersubjective path where all parties are subjects who continue to actively participate in transforming life for the sake of shared well-being. Through this qualitative phenomenological research, the researcher wants to propose an intersubjective approach as a new alternative to the urban mission in Surabaya, especially in the new post-pandemic era. Researchers conducted interviews based on Ricouer's scheme regarding life events in Rumah Singgah. The results found that intersubjective relations are relevant for building interactive and dialogical encounters between the church and surrounding communities.

Abstract

Unity is rightfully regarded as something that is important and essential in man’s life. In Christian life, in the context of God’s work of salvation, unity with Christ is of paramount importance. Unity with Christ constitutes the identity of those who have received the Sacrament of Baptism. That is why time and again the unity with Christ is being celebrated in the Eucharist by those who have been baptized. As the Sacrament of unity, the Eucharist unites us with Christ and with our neighbour. Bread and wine, which are offered during the Eucharist, are a sacrifice by the power of the Holy Spirit in order to create the One Church in Christ and in his Paschal Mystery. Seeing how important the celebration of the Eucharist is as a source of inspiration for the communion of life of the faithful, so this paper aims to describe how communion is celebrated in the celebration of the Eucharist together with proposed pastoral steps in the context of following up the fellowship in daily life. This paper uses a literature review with a descriptive-pastoral analysis method. Thrugh this way, the study is presented descriptively, accompanied by proposals for unity models as an aid for efforts to implement communio in daily life. Abstract

This study analyses the impact of the Second Vatican Council on the Catholic Church in Ketapang Diocese. The purpose of the study is to explain the mission movement, the history of changes in ecclesiastical structures, and the ecumenical principles introduced by the Second Vatican Council. The research method used is a literature study with a historical and narrative approach. The findings show that the Second Vatican Council has had a significant impact on the Catholic Church in Ketapang Diocese. The Church's mission movement is growing, reflected in the changing view of the relationship between the Church and the world, as well as between religions. Theological principles such as the teaching of love and respect for others have become central values in the Christian tradition. The Second Vatican Council also strengthened the role of the laity in the Church, underlining the responsibility of every member of the Church in mission. In addition, the Second Vatican Council opened the horizons of the Catholic Church of Ketapang Diocese in the context of mission to the whole world. The conclusion of this research confirms that the Second Vatican Council is not only a historical event of the Church, but also a source of inspiration that is relevant in facing today's challenges. The Catholic Church of Ketapang Diocese continues to strive to carry out the mission of Christ with a spirit inspired by the principles of the Second Vatican Council, maintaining theological integrity, and fidelity to Church teachings.

Abstract

Gereja ada di dalam dunia dan ikut dalam perkembangan dunia. Perkembangan dunia yang semakin melesat juga adalah tatangan tersendiri bagi perkembangan misi Gereja untuk mewartakan injil. Salah satu bentuk pewartaan injil di implementasikan dalam lima tugas gereja salah satunya ialah tugas Kerygma atau dimensi pewartaan. Tulisan ini membahas tentang Strategi pewartaan injil seturut perkembangan zaman kepada kaum muda. Perubahan zaman yang semakin pesat akibat teknologi memiliki dampak yang sangat banyak, baik itu dampak positif maupun dampak negatif. Perkembangan zaman ini juga memiliki dampak yang sangat kuat karena dapat memengaruhi segala hal dalam kehidupan termasuk didalamnya adalah hal keagamaan. Untuk menjalankan misinya mewartakan kabar keselamatan kepada semua orang terutama kepada kaum muda, Gereja membutuhkan pendekatan agar tujuan dan misi pewartaan dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Untuk mencari pendekatan tersebut, focus penelitian pada penulisan ini lebih mengarah kepada orang muda dari generasi Z dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitaif berupa pengumpulan data kuesioner yang diolah untuk menunjukkan ide-ide kreatif yang dikemukakan oleh kaum muda untuk membantu Gereja pada masa yang akan datang agar dapat memanfaatkan media komunikasi sebagai sarana pewartaan injil dan dapat diterima pada akhirnya bukan hanya oleh orang muda tetapi juga masyarakat umum.

Abstract

The world todey is developing into a better world. This development has to be seen as a way to get the efficient life. The problems raise when the people of the world use wrongly this social phenomenon. The impact is that humans being to lost the meaning of their presence in this world. The Catholic Church, throuhg Gaudium et Spes, wants to speak out, so that life in this world have to be based on the social solidarity. The Church is also actively involved in creating that world. The focus of this paper is to understand the participatory Church as reflected in Gaudium et Spes and the respons of The Congregation of The Mission to this theme. The method of writing is a literature study on the theme. As a result, The Congregation of The Mission has responded to the meaning of the particioatory Church in its regulation and apostolic works. To make this work this work success, The Congregation of The Mission involves the laity as a symbol of the Church’s dialogue with the world.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and improve the quality of children's faith formation through catechesis preparation for First Communion in the Parish. The research method is descriptive quantitative, with data collected using surveys through Google Forms. The study population consists of parents or guardians of children preparing for First Communion, with a sample of 23 respondents. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that catechesis activities and children's experiences preparing for First Communion significantly impact the quality of children's faith formation. Most respondents reported positive experiences and perceived improvements in their children's understanding and practice of the Catholic faith. However, factors inhibiting optimal faith formation were also identified, particularly the need for increased parental involvement. The study recommends encouraging parental participation, providing necessary resources and guidance for active engagement in children's religious education. To enhance children's faith formation, collaboration between parents, churches, and catechists is recommended, along with establishing effective communication channels between these stakeholders.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah cara generasi milenial membangun relasi dan komunitas, menghadirkan problematika formasi iman seperti lemahnya ikatan antarindividu, kecenderungan individualisme, dan pengalaman keterasingan dalam komunitas virtual. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian pustaka terhadap literatur teologi proses Alfred North Whitehead, pemikiran Marjorie Suchocki, serta teori perkembangan manusia, untuk merumuskan kerangka konseptual human formation bagi generasi digital. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teologi proses, yang menekankan realitas sebagai proses dinamis dan relasional, membuka ruang untuk mendefinisikan ulang formasi iman bukan sebagai transfer doktrin statis, melainkan sebagai perjalanan berkesinambungan yang menekankan kebebasan, kreativitas, dan keterkaitan. Empat pilar formasi ditawarkan: katekese digital, komunitas proses, pedagogi partisipatif, dan spiritualitas dinamis. Dengan demikian, artikel ini memberi kontribusi baru bagi pastoral digital dengan menghadirkan teologi proses sebagai paradigma alternatif dalam merumuskan formasi iman generasi digital native.

Abstract

English: The Covid-19 pandemic raises problems that have a wide impact on society. The impact is also felt by the little apostle coaches in fostering the faith of children who are members of the little apostolic community. The development of the faith of the little apostles is very important for the Church. The Church makes every effort through companions to build up the little apostles. There are many challenges due to the pandemic and the rapid development of technology. This situation forms a pattern of thinking and relationship patterns that tend to be individualistic. This change requires the counselors to find the right teaching method to build up the faith of the little apostles. Exemplary and proper teaching is needed for the development of the faith of the little apostle. Formers and proper teaching can be given by formers and parents for the future development of the Church. Bahasa Indonesia: Pandemi Covid-19 menimbulkan persoalan yang berdampak luas bagi masyarakat. Dampaknya juga dirasakan oleh para pembina rasul cilik dalam membina iman anak-anak yang tergabung dalam komunitas rasul cilik. Perkembangan iman para rasul cilik menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi Gereja. Gereja mengusahakan segala cara melalui para pendamping untuk membina rasul cilik. Banyak tantangan akibat pandemi dan perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat. Situasi ini membentuk pola pikir dan pola relasi yang cenderung individulistis. Perubahan ini menuntut para pembina menemukan metode pengajaran yang tepat untuk membina iman rasul cilik. Keteladan dan pengajaran yang tepat sangat dibutuhkan untuk perkembangan iman rasul cilik. Keteladan dan pengajaran yang tepat bisa diberikan oleh para pembina dan orang tua demi perkembangan Gereja di masa depan.

Abstract

English: Indonesian society is a plural society both from religion and ethnicity. Every Catholic believer has an obligation to maintain harmony in social life, on the other hand, the Church condemns any act of discrimination or persecution based on living conditions and religion, because it is against the spirit of Christ. In fact, many Christians are involved in issues that tarnish unity and diversity, especially in the name of religion. So in this case the author's attention is to return to the basic teachings of Jesus regarding mutual love. The commandment to love one another in the text of John 15:9-17 can be a guide for the faithful to help respond to a model of life in the context of religious plurality. The writing is based on the problem of knowing 1) the meaning and 2) the message of the text of John 15:9-17 in the context of religious plurality and 3) its application in the catechesis of the people. In this writing, the writer uses literature review method. In general, it can be concluded that the love of Jesus is the pattern and guide of human love. Jesus is a reality of love. So as a disciple who meets in union with Jesus, the condition required is to remain in the love of Jesus. Abiding in the love of Jesus can be manifested by a commitment and loyalty, namely through obedience to His commands. With the fact of religious plurality, Christians who because of the grace of baptism have been chosen by God as apostles to go proclaiming His love through efforts are made by paying attention to all situations and conditions of life that occur in society with social, cultural and political. Concretely, this can be done by prioritizing religious harmony, tolerance, and efforts for dialogue and cooperation between religious communities. Bahasa Indonesia: Masyarakat Indonesia adalah masyarakat plural baik dari agama ataupun sukunya. Setiap orang beriman Katolik memiliki kewajiban untuk menjaga harmoni dalam hidup bermasyarakat, sebaliknya, Gereja mengecam setiap tindak diskriminasi atau penganiayaan berdasarkan kondisi hidup dan agama, karena berlawan dengan semangat Kristus. Pada kenyataannya, banyak sekali orang kristen yang terlibat dalam permasalahan yang menodai kesatuan dan keberagaman, khususnya dalam nama agama. Maka dalam hal ini perhatian penulis adalah kembali kepada dasar ajaran utama Yesus mengenai sikap saling mengasihi. Perintah supaya saling mengasihi dalam teks Yohanes 15:9-17 dapat menjadi pedoman bagi umat beriman untuk membantu menanggapi model hidup di tengah konteks pluralitas agama. Penulisan didasarkan pada masalah untuk mengetahui 1) arti dan 2) pesan dari teks Yohanes 15:9-17 dalam konteks pluralitas agama serta 3) aplikasinya dalam katekese umat. Dalam penulisan ini, penulis menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Secara garis besar dapat disimpulkan bahwa kasih Yesus adalah pola dan pendoman kasih manusia. Yesus adalah suatu realitas dari kasih. Maka sebagai murid yang berhimpun dalam kesatuan dengan Yesus, syarat yang dituntut adalah tinggal dalam kasih Yesus. Tinggal dalam kasih Yesus dapat diwujudkan dengan suatu komitmen serta kesetiaan, yaitu melalui ketaatan terhadap perintah-Nya. Dengan fakta pluralitas agama, maka orang yang kristiani yang oleh karena rahmat pembaptisan telah dipilih oleh Allah sebagai rasul untuk pergi mewartakan kasih-Nya melalui usaha-usaha dilakukan dengan memperhatikan segala situasi dan kondisi hidup yang terjadi di tengah masyarakat dengan pertimbangan sosial, budaya, dan politik. Konkritnya hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan mengedepankan sikap kerukuran umat beragama, toleransi, dan usaha dialog serta kerjasama antar umat beragama.
