Abstract

Work-life balance is increasingly recognized as a strategic component in human resource management, particularly in high-pressure industries such as oil and gas. This study aims to examine the influence of work-life balance on employee mental health, with job satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among permanent employees of PT. XYZ, who work under rotational schedules and face intensive operational demands. Utilizing a quantitative approach and survey method, data were collected from 100 respondents using standardized instruments: the Work-Life Balance Scale, the Job Satisfaction Survey , the Mental Health Inventory-38 (Veit & Ware, 1983). The data were analyzed using PROCESS Macro Model 4 with bootstrapping procedures. The findings indicate that work-life balance significantly affects mental health, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is found to be a significant mediator that amplifies the positive effect of work-life balance on psychological stability. These results reinforce the theoretical perspectives of the Job Demands–Resources model and the Broaden-and-Build Theory, highlighting the affective buffering role of job satisfaction in mitigating psychosocial stress. The mediation model accounts for 56.2% of the variance in employee mental health. Practically, this study provides a foundation for organizations to develop work policies that are not only flexible but also attentive to employees’ affective needs. Emphasizing job satisfaction as a mediation pathway opens opportunities for strategic interventions through job design, emotional support systems, and psychological empowerment in the workplace. This research contributes to data-driven human resource policies aimed at creating healthy and sustainable work environments.

Abstract

The digital transformation in the education sector has driven the growth of various online learning platforms, including Skul.id. Despite offering innovative features, the adoption of Skul.id among students in Bali faces multiple challenges, such as low user engagement and competition from similar platforms. This study aims to analyze Skul.id's marketing strategy and its effectiveness in reaching the youth market of Telkomsel SIM card users in Bali. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The research informants include Telkomsel's marketing team and Skul.id users, comprising students and educators in various schools across Bali. The findings indicate that Skul.id’s current marketing strategy has yet to fully optimize its potential in attracting students. Despite its integration with Telkomsel services, limitations in digital promotion efforts and a lack of product differentiation remain major obstacles. Additionally, user trust in the platform's effectiveness poses a significant challenge. The study concludes that the Marketing Mix 7P and STP strategy should be optimized by enhancing digital campaigns, strengthening collaborations with educational institutions, and reinforcing brand positioning to improve Skul.id's competitiveness in the digital education market.

Abstract

This research aims to meet the need for improving the quality of teacher leadership at XYZ School as part of efforts to create effective education in the 21st century. The literature review highlights the importance of transformational and distributed leadership in the educational context to support collaboration and enhance learning outcomes. The leadership training model based on the 5 Leadership Voices was chosen for its relevance in recognizing and maximizing individual leadership styles. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Needs analysis shows that teachers face challenges in communication, classroom management, and collaboration. Therefore, the training design includes leadership voice assessment, collaborative workshops, coaching, and impact evaluation. This training is designed to enhance self-awareness, practical leadership skills, and contextual application in the school environment. The research results show that the implementation of the 5 Leadership Voices helps teachers create a collaborative work environment, improve communication, and motivate students through a flexible approach. Teachers also show improvement in classroom management and peer interactions. Impact evaluation indicates that this training is relevant for sustainably improving the quality of teacher leadership. In conclusion, this training model design provides a practical approach to support the professional development of teachers at XYZ School while creating an inclusive work culture that impacts the quality of education.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of work discipline and reward and punishment on employee performance at PT United Equipment Indonesia, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. Employing a causal-comparative and associative research design, the study uses a quantitative explanatory approach. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to employees using simple random sampling, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach via SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that both work discipline and reward and punishment have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Additionally, job satisfaction significantly contributes to enhancing employee performance. Mediation analysis confirms that job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between the independent variables and employee performance. These results highlight the importance of implementing effective disciplinary measures and balanced reward-punishment systems to foster employee satisfaction and improve overall organizational performance.

Abstract

In the globalization era, competition demands every company to implement effective Human Resource Management (HRM) practices, where employee job satisfaction has become a key factor affecting organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of work compensation and leadership style on employee job satisfaction with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediating variable at PT. Paguntaka Cahaya Nusantara. This research uses quantitative associative approach with 110 permanent employees as respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires with Likert scale 1-5, and data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that work compensation and leadership style have significant positive effects on job satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. OCB significantly mediates the relationship between work compensation and job satisfaction, but does not significantly mediate the relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination shows that 68.9% of job satisfaction variation can be explained by work compensation and leadership style variables. This research contributes to human resource management theory and provides practical recommendations for companies to improve compensation policies and leadership approaches to enhance employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Aragon Tambang Pratama. The research employed a quantitative approach with causal associative design involving 59 respondents from the operational division. Data were collected through Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results indicate that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on employee performance (β=0.098, p=0.019). Work discipline proved to be the most dominant variable with highly significant influence (β=0.910, p=0.000). Conversely, work motivation does not significantly affect employee performance (β=-0.013, p=0.475). Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence employee performance with F=1183.656 (p=0.000). The research model explains 98.4% of employee performance variation (Adjusted R²=0.984). These findings indicate that in the mining industry context, work discipline becomes a key determining factor of performance, followed by transformational leadership, while work motivation does not contribute significantly. Practical implications emphasize the importance of developing effective work discipline systems and strengthening transformational leadership capacity to sustainably improve employee performance. The study provides valuable insights for management in identifying performance-influencing factors and developing appropriate strategies in the mining industry context.
