Abstract

Weh Island is one of the coastal region that has high prospect in fisheries, one of it is floating net cage. Unfortunately, the unavailability of the classification zone for fish net culture and the oceanographic conditions of the coastal water become the main issues of the success of the fish net cage (KJA) culture activities.  The aim of this study is analyze suitability of floating net cage culture for grouper in Sabang Bay. The method use in this research is Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) method. There were 10 water quality variabels measured, such as protection, bathimetry, water transparency, current velocity, temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrate and phosphate. Area suitability divided into three suitability criteria, i.e very suitable, suitable and not suitable were used to determine the suitability of floating net cage. The result of the analysis are obtained show that the area for grouper culture Sabang Bay covering 11.3 % or 9.08 Ha of Sabang Bay were classified as very suitable (S1), suitable class (S2) covering an area of 39.8 % or 32.08 Ha of Sabang Bay, and not suitable class (N) covering 49 % or 39.54 Ha of Sabang Bay. Based on this percentage can be concluded that some of the coastal of the Sabang Bay can be utilized as a floating net cage culture of grouper fish activities.Keywords: Grouper culture, GIS, Suitability, Sabang Bay, Aceh Province ABSTRAKPulau Weh merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki potensi perikanan yang cukup besar. Akan tetapi dengan belum tersedianya penentuan lokasi budidaya keramba jaring apung serta data kondisi perairan yang tersedia menjadi kendala utama dalam peningkatan keberhasilan dan pengembangan budidaya keramba jaring apung (KJA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis luasan kesesuaian perairan budidaya keramba jaring apung ikan kerapu di perairan Teluk Sabang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW). Terdapat sepuluh parameter yang diukur, yaitu keterlindungan, kedalaman, kecerahan, kecepatan arus, suhu, salinitas, pH, oksigen terlarut, nitrat dan fosfat. Tingkat kesesuaian perairan dibagi menjadi 3 (tiga) kelas kesesuaian, yaitu sangat sesuai, sesuai dan tidak sesuai. Hasil analisis yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa luasan untuk budidaya ikan kerapu Teluk Sabang sangat sesuai (S1) seluas 9,08 % atau 11,3 Ha dari Teluk Sabang, kelas sesuai (S2) seluas 39,8 % atau 32,08 Ha dari Teluk Sabang, dan kelas tidak sesuai (N) seluas 49 % atau 39,54 Ha dari Teluk Sabang. Berdasarkan persentase tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa sebagian perairan Teluk Sabang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai usaha budidaya keramba jaring apung ikan kerapu.Kata kunci: Budidaya ikan kerapu, SIG, Kesesuaian perairan, Teluk Sabang, Provinsi Aceh

Abstract

This study aims to assess the level of degradation and depreciation of the Layaran fishery in the North Coast of Aceh. The method used in this research includes stock assessment using the Clarke Yoshimoto Pooley (CYP) Bioeconomic model to assessing the degradation and depreciation that has occurred in the Layaran fishery. The estimated production value of the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) is 4.63 tonnes per year which is greater than the actual production value of 3.33 tonnes per year and the MSY effort value is 36,642 trips per year which is greater than the actual effort 16,972 trips per year show that there has not been overfishing in the Layaran fishery, both in terms of production and fishing effort. Sailfish fisheries during the period 2009 to 2017 were also still in a non-degraded and depreciated condition as indicated by the coefficient values of the Degradation and Depreciation rates which were lower than the standard coefficient values with each value of 0.32 for the Degradation rate and 0.26 for the Depreciation rate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai sumberdaya dan menganalisis tingkat Overexploitation of fishery resources with an open access system is still a serious threat because it leads to reduced fish stocks. This research aims to assess resources and analyze the level of degradation and depreciation of mackerel fish resources landed in Kutaraja Aceh Fishing Port using the Clarke Yoshimoto Pooley (CYP) bioeconomic model approach. The methods in this research include standardization of fishing gear using the fishing power index, sustainable potential analysis using the CYP model which is used to assess the sustainability of mackerel fish resources, degradation analysis and depreciation analysis to see the extent of depreciation of fishery resources. The results of the analysis show that the actual production of mackerel is 4.07 tons/year, which exceeds the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) production of 3.3 tons/year. The actual fishing effort also reached 17,137 trips/year while the sustainable fishing effort (effort MSY) was only 6,351 trips/year. This value shows that the Mackerel fish resource has experienced overfishing both in terms of production and fishing effort. During the analysis period, the mackerel fish resource had experienced depreciation because it had exceeded the threshold (0.5) with an average depreciation coefficient of 0.989. However, mackerel fish did not show degradation of mackerel fish resources, namely 0.458, which was still below the threshold (0.5). However, this figure has almost exceeded the threshold so it deserves special attention from the government so that the mackerel fish resources landed at the Kutaraja Aceh Fishing Port will remain sustainable.

Abstract

Kegiatan destructive fishing merupakan kegiatan yang dimana seseorang menggunakan bahan peledak atau bom ikan dalam melakukan kegiatannya. Tujuan kegiatan untuk mengedukasi mengenai dampak destructive fishing terhadap keberlanjutan ekosistem di perairan dan pariwisata bahari, memberikan pemahaman mengenai peraturan, pengawasan dan pengelolaan pariwisata bahari yang berkelanjutan, dan memberikan pengetahuan terkait teknologi penangkapan ikan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari jumat dan sabtu, 11-12 Agustus 2023 di Gampong Batee Shok Kecamatan Sukamakmue Kota Sabang Provinsi Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan tentang materi destructive fishing dan diskusi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa dampak destructive fishing terhadap sektor pariwisata di Kecamatan Sukamakmue ialah kerusakan ekosistem dan berbagai biota laut yang mengurangi daya tarik pariwisata. Aktivitas pelestarian mangrove dan terumbu karang tersebut dapat dijadikan wisata edukasi dan konservasi yang menarik minat wisatawan dalam dan luar negeri untuk datang. Dengan adanya aktivitas pariwisata tersebut, hingga saat ini warga Gampong Batee Shok mendapatkan manfaat lebih berupa kualitas hidup yang baik dari sisi ekonomi, dan kebebasan waktu.

Abstract

Keselamatan kapal adalah keadaan kapal memenuhi persyaratan material, kontruksi, bangunan permesinan dan kelistrikan, stabilitas, tata susunan serta kelengkapan alat penolong dan radio yang dibuktikan dengan sertifikan setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan dan pengujian. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra dan disepakati oleh tim pengusul untuk diberikan solusinya yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan nelayan tentang alat keselamatan dan perawatan alat keselamatan dan resiko dari kurangnya ketersediaan alat keselamatan pada kapal. Oleh karena itu sosialisasi ini dilakukan untuk menghindari kecelakaan kerja pada saat melakukan aktifitas penangkapan dengan metode sosialisasi, observasi dan evaluasi. Melalui materi yang telah disampaikan, sekarang nelayan Desa Alue Naga telah memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang alat keselamatan yang akan mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja dan dapat  mendukung peningkatan produktivitas sektor perikanan di Kecamatan Syiah Kuala. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan ekonomi nelayan dalam mengakses dan membeli perlengkapan alat keselamatan menjadi perhatian yang sangat penting. Sehingga, diperlukan dukungan dari pemerintah dan lembaga perikanan untuk memberikan bantuan subsidi atau pengadaan alat keselamatan.Abstrak ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris dan Indonesia berisikan tentang intisari dari latar belakang kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, tujuan kegiatan, metode pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan hasil kegiatan.

Abstract

Tuna (Thunnus sp) is a fish with high economic value, both in the export community and local consumption (Fernandez, 2021). The amount of tuna (Thunnus sp) production increases every year. The increasing amount of fishery production and the development of the fishery product industry have caused a lot of fishery waste to be disposed of without processing. Waste from fishery product processing reaches 20-60% of the raw materials. Waste from fishery products processed with tuna as the raw material consists of 17% head, 20% skin, 5% offal, 4% bones, and 2% fins. In general, tuna skin is thrown away without further processing. However, tuna skin is a good source of collagen and does not cause bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Collagen, which provides 30% of the total protein content, is the most abundant fibrous protein in animals. Collagen plays an important role in regulating the wound-healing phase. This study used the Cobalt-60 gamma irradiation method with a dose of 10 kGy. The results of this study are with bacterial tests, tuna fish powder that has undergone gamma irradiation with a bacterial contaminant value of 0.19 x 103, and mold testing with a value of 0.00 x 103 with a pH of both 6.78. Functional groups of tuna fish skin collagen include Amide A found in the absorption region of 3330 cm-1, Amide B found in the absorption region of 2924 cm-1, Amide I found in the absorption region of 1640 cm-1, Amide II found in the absorption region of 1406 cm-1, and Amide III found in the absorption region of 1242 cm-1.Keywords: Collagen; Gamma Irradiation; Tuna Fish Skin; Waste

Abstract

Simeulue Regency is one of the island regions located in Aceh Province, situated in the Indian Ocean, and is endowed with abundant fishery resources. One of the economically valuable commodities in this area is octopus (Octopus). Local fishermen commonly use artificial bait shaped like crab shells and cake molds, in red, orange, and yellow colors. This study aims to determine the effect of differences in the shape and color of artificial bait on octopus catch rates in the waters of Simeulue. The method used was experimental fishing with a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The results of ANOVA analysis showed that both bait shape and color had a significant effect on octopus catch rates, with F-values of 14.950 for shape and 23.708 for color. The crab shell-shaped bait resulted in higher catch yields compared to the cake mold-shaped bait, and orange was the most effective color among the three. A total of 91 octopuses were caught, with 52 caught using crab shell-shaped bait and 39 with cake mold-shaped bait. These findings suggest that using orange-colored, crab shell-shaped artificial bait can enhance the effectiveness of octopus fishing.

Abstract

Laporan ini menggambarkan kegiatan pengenalan teknologi drone kepada anak-anak dan remaja dengan tujuan memperluas wawasan mereka terhadap inovasi masa depan. Melalui presentasi teori, demonstrasi pengoperasian drone, dan kegiatan praktikum, peserta diberi kesempatan untuk memahami prinsip dasar, aplikasi, dan etika penggunaan drone. Kegiatan pengambilan foto dan video juga memacu peserta untuk berpikir kreatif mengenai potensi penggunaan drone dalam berbagai konteks. Hasilnya menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, dengan kemampuan operasional drone yang cukup baik setelah bimbingan. Kegiatan kreativitas menghasilkan ide-ide inovatif yang menunjukkan potensi nyata dari pemanfaatan teknologi drone di masa mendatang.Kata kunci: drone, teknologi, kreativitas.
