Abstract

The provision, distribution, and retail price of subsidized fuel oil are crucial issues inefforts to address energy price instability in Batam City. The enactment of presidentialregulations to govern these aspects is expected to enhance the effectiveness of the fuelsubsidy policy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation ofpresidential regulations regarding the provision, distribution, and retail price of subsidizedfuel oil in Batam City. The research method employed is descriptive analysis, gatheringdata from primary and secondary sources. The research findings indicate that despite theimplementation of presidential regulations, there are still several obstacles hampering itseffectiveness. Factors such as inadequate infrastructure, consistent scarcity of fuel oilstocks, and logistical constraints pose significant challenges in the provision anddistribution of subsidized fuel oil. Moreover, the retail price of subsidized fuel oil remainsvulnerable to market fluctuations, and some business actors continue to exploit thesubsidy policy for personal gains. The proposed recommendations include improvingsupporting infrastructure, diversifying sources of subsidized fuel oil, and enhancingoversight of regulation implementation. Collaborative efforts among the government,industry, and society are essential to achieve the goal of an effective fuel subsidy policy inBatam City

Abstract

Indonesia, a major contributor of labor in the fisheries sector, particularly as fishery crew members (ABK),faces challenges where ABK on both domestic and foreign vessels often fall victim to various forms of abuse,including violence, forced labor, and human trafficking. This study adopts a normative approach using a legalmethod to analyze regulations and aims to investigate the main issues confronting the Indonesian fisheriesworkforce, specifically ABK. Research findings reveal inadequate protection due to factors such as insufficientsectoral policies, delays in formulating and implementing regulations, lack of awareness, inadequate datacollection, weak policy enforcement, and limited government attention. To address these challenges, the studyrecommends comprehensive protection involving the fulfillment of basic labor rights and the implementationof capacity development initiatives. Capacity enhancement can be achieved through fiscal policies, operationalsupport, and broader access to information about fishery product usage. Consequently, protection policies forworkers in the capture fisheries sector should be comprehensive, considering economic, legal, and socialaspects across various related sectors.

Abstract

Penindasan di media sosial, termasuk platform TikTok, telah menjadi isu mendesak dalam konteks digital modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola dan dampak psikologis dari bullying yang dialami oleh pengguna TikTok, khususnya korban bullying. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipan, analisis isi, dan wawancara terhadap korban bullying. Temuannya menunjukkan bahwa jenis konten yang rentan terhadap perundungan adalah konten yang menonjolkan perbedaan individu. Dampak psikologis dari penindasan mencakup stres, kecemasan, dan depresi, yang memengaruhi perilaku online dan kesejahteraan mental korban. Kesimpulannya, penanganan penindasan yang efektif di TikTok diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan online yang aman dan positif bagi semua pengguna. Kata Kunci: bullying, TikTok, media sosial, dampak psikologis, kesejahteraan mental.

Abstract

The sovereignty dispute over the Sipadan-Ligitan islands between Indonesia and Malaysia underscores the need for enhanced legal expertise and active participation from all parties in seeking fair and sustainable solutions. Limited access to quality international legal counsel has hindered Indonesia's ability to effectively present its claims, while Malaysia has capitalized on the situation. Persistent disagreements over the islands' ownership and status highlight the importance of strengthening diplomatic efforts and legal capabilities to address complex territorial disputes in Southeast Asia. Greater investment in international legal proficiency and diplomatic initiatives is essential to protect Indonesia's national interests and prevent exploitation by external parties.

Abstract

A new challenge for law enforcement in the digital era, including in Indonesia, is cybercrime. This abstract discusses the criminal policy implemented to address cybercrime, with a particular emphasis on regulations, enforcement, and the issues faced. In recent years, Indonesia has adopted the ITE Law (Information and Electronic Transactions Law) to regulate behavior in cyberspace. However, the implementation of this policy often encounters obstacles such as a lack of trained human resources, insufficient public awareness of cyber laws, and technical issues in investigating cybercrime cases. The introduction, main section, and conclusion of the literature reviewed in this research are discussed. The data sources for this section come from relevant books, scholarly articles, or journals.Make recommendations on how to strengthen the legal framework, enhance inter-agency cooperation, and educate the public on creating a safer digital environment. With these efforts, it is hoped that criminal policies in Indonesia can be more effective in preventing and addressing cybercrime.

Abstract

Pemilih pemula memiliki peranan penting dalam pembentukan demokrasi yang sehat. Namun, rendahnya tingkat literasi politik dan minimnya pengalaman berpartisipasi dalam pemilu menjadi tantangan utama. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan pemilih pemula melalui edukasi komunikasi politik serta simulasi teknik pemungutan dan perhitungan suara. Dengan pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Sagulung, Kota Batam, dengan peserta sebanyak 20 pemuda-pemudi berusia 17–21 tahun. Hasil pretest dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman prosedur pemilu dan kesadaran akan pentingnya komunikasi politik.

Abstract

Pancasila as the ideology of the nation embodies positive values for the life of the beloved Indonesian people, values that align with the law, the 1945 Constitution, and 'Bhineka Tunggal Ika' (Unity in Diversity). In the governance of national life based on Pancasila as an ideology, it emphasizes togetherness and unity in the societal values, combating ideologies that contradict Pancasila. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize Pancasila values as a means of preserving these values. The current rise of radicalism needs vigilance against its influence, especially among the younger generation including those in Islamic boarding schools ('pesantren'), an obligation to instill the entirety of Pancasila values, especially among the youth. In national and state life, togetherness and unity as stated in Pancasila values are absolute principles that must be adhered to by the younger generation as well as responsible citizens across all segments of society. Misguided ideologies such as radicalism should be combated, similar to practices in other countries, whether under Continental European legal systems or other legal frameworks, which always prioritize their positive legal principles in adopting a nation's ideology

Abstract

Abstrak Partai politik memegang peran krusial dalam sistem politik Indonesia, terutama dalam pelaksanaan demokrasi perwakilan. Mereka bukan hanya menjadi perpanjangan tangan rakyat di tingkat legislatif dan eksekutif, tetapi juga menjadi saluran utama partisipasi politik warga negara dalam proses pengambilan keputusan pemerintah. Dengan latar belakang sejarah partai politik di Indonesia dan evolusi perannya, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran partai politik dalam membentuk kebijakan publik. Pentingnya peran partai politik dalam demokrasi perwakilan tercermin dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 dan UU Nomor 31 Tahun 2002. Namun, meskipun peran mereka semakin diakui, masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan, seperti kurangnya kualitas kader, transparansi keuangan, dan praktik politik uang dalam pemilihan umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder melalui studi literatur dan dokumen. Rumusan masalah menyoroti peran partai politik dalam membentuk kebijakan publik, serta bagaimana mereka mempengaruhi proses pembuatan kebijakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran partai politik sangat kompleks, melibatkan fungsi input dan output. Sebagai input, mereka menentukan agenda kebijakan, memberikan dukungan atau kritik terhadap kebijakan, mengawasi pelaksanaan kebijakan, dan memobilisasi masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti kurangnya kualitas kader, kurangnya transparansi keuangan, dan praktik politik uang masih perlu diatasi. Dalam membahas peran partai politik, penelitian ini menggaris bawahi pentingnya reformasi internal, peningkatan transparansi keuangan, dan pemberantasan praktik politik uang. Penguatan partai politik diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif pada stabilitas politik dan pembangunan negara secara keseluruhan, memastikan bahwa mereka memenuhi perannya sebagai representatif masyarakat dan agen perubahan yang konstruktif dalam merumuskan kebijakan publik. Abstract

Law No. 7 of 2014 concerning Trade, is a national development in the field of economic law that is compiled and implemented to realize general welfare through the implementation of economic democracy, with the principle of togetherness, in the perspective of the constitutional foundation. Indonesian national trade must reflect a series of economic activities that are compiled and implemented to realize welfare in social control for all Indonesian people. In the regulation and implementation of the Law in relation to the movement of goods and or services must reflect the progress of economic law development based on accountability, transparency, especially for business actors (traders in their buying and selling transactions and or in carrying out economic and trade activities in the midst of society. Thus, legal certainty, fairness, health, and security are created properly in accordance with the regulations of trade laws and several other related technical regulations.
