Abstract

The life of prayer within Catholic families is of paramount importance in strengthening spirituality and familial bonds while nurturing faith values. Document Familiaris Consortio No. 59-62 serves as a primary guideline in understanding Catholic family prayer practices. This research explores the implementation of prayer life in St. Agata Sitaretareon Station, Parish of St. Michael Pangururan, utilizing qualitative research methods. The findings indicate that basic prayer practices, devotions, and daily prayers serve as crucial foundations in the spiritual life of Catholic families. Parents play a central role as the primary instigators of prayer, despite facing challenges such as children's indifference. Families actively engage in both liturgical and personal prayers, demonstrating their commitment to deepening their faith and relationship with God. These prayer practices bring about peace, harmony, and gratitude in the daily lives of Catholic families in St. Agata Sitaretareon Station, serving as tangible evidence of lived faith enriching spirituality and strengthening the faith community in the pursuit of spiritual well-being. Thus, the prayer life within Catholic families in St. Agata Sitaretareon Station, Parish of St. Michael Pangururan, has been effectively carried out, with each family member participating in communal prayer in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the spiritual values of Saint Tarcisius and the spiritual values of altar servers in the Saint John the Evangelist Mandala Parish. Altar servers are Catholic teenagers who demonstrate high dedication in serving the Church and assisting priests during the Eucharistic Celebration without expecting any reward. The spiritual values held by the altar servers include serving with love and selflessness, humility, and being responsible for the entrusted tasks. This study employs a qualitative approach. The research location is in the Saint John the Evangelist Mandala Parish. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected from the field will be analyzed by reducing, displaying, and triangulating the data using both techniques and sources. The data collection technique used is snowball sampling. The informants in the study consist of 10 people: 7 altar servers, 2 altar server supervisors, and 1 parish priest. The results of the study show that altar servers embody the spiritual values of Saint Tarcisius and their own spiritual values in their service duties.

Abstract

Anak merupakan terang dan harapan bagi keluarga, Gereja, masyarakat, dan bangsa. Oleh karena itu, anak-anak perlu mendapatkan pendidikan dan perhatian yang optimal agar mereka dapat bertumbuh tidak hanya dalam hal fisik, intelektual, dan sikap, tetapi juga dalam iman. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya peran orang tua dalam mendukung aktivitas gerejawi anak, kurangnya variasi metode pengajaran, serta keterbatasan sumber daya dan pelatihan pembina sehingga pembinaan kurang menarik dan kurang sesuai dengan perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pembinaan iman anak menggunakan model Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembinaan iman anak berjalan dengan baik dan teratur, dengan metode pembinaan yang cukup variatif. Orang tua berperan aktif dalam membina iman anak di rumah, sementara gereja mendukung kegiatan anak melalui fasilitas dan dukungan moral. anak-anak mulai menunjukkan karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Kristiani. Meskipun demikian, tetap ditemukan tantangan, seperti keterlibatan orang tua yang belum optimal dalam kegiatan gereja, pengaruh pergaulan negatif dan teknologi, belum tersedianya kurikulum dan buku panduan, serta perlunya pelatihan lanjutan bagi pembina. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperlukan upaya berkelanjutan untuk menyusun kurikulum, menyediakan panduan, meningkatkan kompetensi pembina, dan memperkuat sinergi gereja, keluarga, serta lingkungan sosial dalam pembinaan iman anak.

Abstract

This research reviews the existence of the Inculturative Church of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi as a means of realizing community fellowship. This study aims to find out the form, function and meaning of the building of the Inculturative Church of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi and to find out the Inculturative Church as a means of realizing community fellowship. This type of research is qualitative research. The research instruments are observation, interviews and documentation. The result is that the Karo Inculturative Church Building is a means of realizing community fellowship which can be seen from the participation and involvement of the people in all activities related to fellowship. With a church building that uses an inculturative style, people feel closer to God.

Abstract

The building of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi Inculturative Church is inseparable from the meaning of architecture and ornamentation which refers to the Karo traditional house building which is full of meaning. Therefore, through this article, we want to discuss how the meaning of the inculturative church building of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi and its impact on the development of the Communion of People. The research method used is the qualitative research method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained will then be analyzed with the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the inculturative church of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi symbolizes communion and kinship as the Karo traditional house which is usually inhabited by eight to twelve heads of families. The life of each family of residents of the house is arranged according to the culture and customs that apply to the Karo community. With this church building, the fellowship of people is also getting better. This is evident through the attendance of people in the Eucharist and other very high celebrations in the church. In addition, the fellowship of people is also seen both through activities outside the church both in the station and in the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the project of Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5), the role of teachers in improving P5, and the characters developed in P5 implemented by PPG-STPKat students of St. Francis Asisi Semarang. The mixed method research design was used. The probability sampling technique was used to select 14 schools for the research population. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaires assessing the implementation of the P5 project and the role of teachers and analyzed using ANOVA Linearity, Linear Regression, and the F Test. Interviews were used to collect qualitative data, which was then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the simultaneous implementation of the P5 project and the role of the teacher had a high effect on student character building (99.1%). The linearity test revealed a linear relationship between P5 project implementation and learner character, with a significance value (p) of 0.000 0.05. P5 has been implemented in elementary schools, and teachers serve as role models, motivators, inspirers, and evaluators, according to qualitative findings. Students' Pancasila character profile depicts a character of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character. Positive aspects of mutual cooperation included improved collaboration skills and various aspects of mutual cooperation. This study's recommendations include increasing the number of meeting hours, involving a team of facilitators, and ensuring school readiness. Students must be encouraged to participate actively in the P5 project and to develop the Pancasila learner profile attitude.
