Abstract

In the dynamic landscape of software development, effective knowledge sharing is vital for fostering collaboration and innovation among development teams. This study examines the intricate dynamics influencing knowledge sharing among software developers within organizational contexts, focusing on the pivotal factors of organizational culture. Key factors such as communication, trust, leadership, reward systems, and organizational structure are investigated to comprehend their impact on knowledge-sharing behavior. The research model posits hypotheses exploring positive relationships between trust, communication, leadership, organizational structure, reward systems, and knowledge sharing. Data was collected through online surveys completed by 62 software developers in Indonesia, and SmartPLS 3 was used for the analysis. Measurement models were employed to evaluate internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity, while structural models assessed the explanatory potential. Results indicate that the explanatory power of the model is weak, suggesting a need for further exploration. Leadership and reward systems were found to have a positive influence on knowledge sharing, although the impact of organizational structure remains inconclusive. The study emphasizes the critical roles of reward structures and leadership in encouraging knowledge sharing and presents practical implications for companies aiming to enhance their knowledge management practices. These findings highlight the necessity for organizations to foster leadership and implement effective reward systems to promote a culture of knowledge sharing. Furthermore, the study suggests improvements in assessment techniques and calls for a reevaluation of the connection between organizational structure and knowledge sharing. This research contributes to the understanding of how organizational culture impacts knowledge sharing within the software development community in Indonesia, providing valuable insights for both academic researchers and industry practitioners.

Abstract

High rates of unresolved customer complaints and the absence of structured Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and transparent incentives present significant challenges for PT XYZ, a telecommunications company. These issues undermine employee motivation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ultimately threatening the company’s profitability and competitive positioning. This study analyzes how Organizational Culture influences Knowledge Management, impacting KPI, System Incentives, and Customer Complaints in a telecommunications company. Using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, the findings reveal that Organizational Culture significantly enhances Knowledge Management, which serves as a critical mediator in driving organizational effectiveness. The study highlights the strong and significant relationships between Knowledge Management and internal processes, such as KPI and incentive systems, as well as its moderate impact on reducing customer complaints. The results confirm the mediating role of Knowledge Management in linking Organizational Culture to both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a strong organizational culture to support knowledge-sharing practices, enabling companies to achieve their strategic goals. Future research could expand on these findings by exploring additional mediating variables or applying the model to other industries.

Abstract

Education is the spearhead of a country's progress, with the quality of education being the key to determining the direction of national development. Developed and developing countries often realize the importance of education as a top priority for development. The development of information technology, especially in the world of education, has a significant impact on the learning process. According to Subdibyo Lies (2020), the development of information technology brings positive changes in the world of education, making learning more efficient and effective. In Indonesia, in accordance with Law No. 20 of 2013 concerning National Education Objectives, education aims to educate the nation's life, and one way to achieve this is through the use of technology in learning. Abstract

Knowledge sharing (KS) plays is essential for improving organizational performance and innovation, enabling faster problem-solving and collaboration. However, in the public sector, participation in KS remains low, hindering organizational learning and development. As Indonesia adopts knowledge management systems in its public sector, challenges emerge in fostering knowledge-sharing behaviors. This study uses the systematic review method, following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, to identify key factors influencing knowledge-sharing intention (KSI) and propose solutions. Through a rigorous selection process, 20 relevant studies were analyzed, categorizing factors into individual, organizational, and technological groups. The results indicate that attitudes, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, reward systems, and the perceived usefulness of technology have a significant impact on KSI. This study offers a comprehensive reference for future research on KS in the public sector and provides insights for policymakers to design initiatives that enhance organizational learning.

Abstract

This study looks at how verbs are translated from English to Indonesian in the iPhone 13 Pro Max user guide, and how the translation techniques used affect how acceptable the translations are to Indonesian readers. While many studies have looked at translating technical texts, not many have focused on verbs or how they affect users’ understanding. This study fills that gap by focusing on verbs, which are important in user guides because they give instructions that need to be clear and easy to follow. The study uses a qualitative method, applying Molina and Albir’s (2002) framework to identify the translation techniques, and Nababan’s (2012) model to measure how acceptable the translations are. Five Indonesian iPhone users were asked to rate how natural and clear the translated verbs were using a three-point scale. The results show that established equivalent was the most commonly used technique and had the highest acceptability. Other techniques such as linguistic compression, compensation, transposition, and modulation were used less often but were still mostly acceptable. By connecting translation techniques to user feedback, this study offers a focused and user-centered contribution to translation studies. It also gives useful insights for translators and user guide developers who want to make their translations clearer, more culturally appropriate, and easier to understand.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of five Machine Learning classification algorithms—Support Vector Machine (SVM), Neural Network (NN), Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)—in detecting breast cancer using the Breast Cancer Wisconsin (Diagnostic) dataset. The evaluation was conducted in stages, beginning with baseline model training, followed by optimization using Bagging ensemble techniques, and further enhanced with the Adaboost algorithm. Model performance was assessed using accuracy, confusion matrix, ROC curve, and Area Under Curve (AUC) metrics. The results show that Logistic Regression demonstrated the most consistent performance, achieving 97.1% accuracy and the highest AUC of 99.7% after Adaboost was applied. Decision Tree also showed noticeable improvement in both accuracy and AUC. In contrast, Neural Network and KNN models were found incompatible with Adaboost. These findings highlight that the effectiveness of ensemble techniques is highly dependent on the nature of the base algorithm. This research contributes to a better understanding of how to select and combine classification algorithms with appropriate optimization strategies to improve the accuracy of breast cancer diagnosis.

Abstract

Knowledge sharing serves as a fundamental driver of organizational innovation, particularly in enhancing public service quality, yet remains significantly underutilized in government institutions. Many public sector organizations fail to recognize the value of knowledge sharing due to its perceived long-term benefits and the absence of concrete evidence demonstrating its measurable impact on service innovation performance. This study examines the driving factors of knowledge sharing and its impact on service innovation performance in government organizations. Data was collected through an online survey targeted at National Civil Service Agency (Badan Kepegawaian Negara or BKN) employees. A total of 465 responses were obtained, which analysed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This study demonstrates that organizational, individual, and technological factors play a significant role in the implementation of knowledge sharing. Most importantly, the research provides empirical validation that knowledge sharing behavior directly and substantially enhance service innovation performance - a relationship previously overlooked in public sector studies. By expanding the theoretical framework of Planned Behavior to incorporate these organizational, individual, and technological dimensions, this study offers public administrators compelling evidence to prioritize knowledge sharing initiatives while providing scholars with a more holistic understanding of innovation mechanisms in government contexts. Future studies should explore additional factors beyond the Theory of Planned Behavior that influence knowledge sharing, as well as other knowledge management dimensions affecting service innovation. Further research could also investigate impacts of knowledge sharing beyond innovation performance, such as organizational resilience or employee well-being in public sector contexts.
