Abstract

The utilization of renewable energy is becoming increasingly important in today's engineering development to address environmental challenges and energy sustainability. However, the full potential of renewable energy sources has yet to be fully explored. This study aims to explore the potential of renewable energy in the context of contemporary engineering development with a focus on identifying renewable energy sources that can be optimized and integrated in engineering infrastructure. The research methods used include literature survey, data analysis, and modeling to evaluate various renewable energy sources that can be applied in engineering development. An interdisciplinary approach was used to gain a holistic understanding of the potential and limitations of each energy source. The study identified that renewable energy, such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass, has great potential in providing clean and sustainable energy sources for today's engineering development. In-depth analysis also shows that the integration of renewable energy systems can reduce dependence on fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. By tapping into the potential of renewable energy, today's engineering developments can become more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The integration of renewable energy in engineering infrastructure not only reduces negative environmental impacts but also creates new opportunities for innovation and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The role of nurses in emergency management is very crucial in providing effective and timely services to patients. Training in emergency management skills is important to improve nurses' competence in situations that require a quick and precise response. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of emergency management skills training for nurses on increasing competence and readiness in responding to emergency situations. This research method uses a pre-test post-test study design with a control group, where a number of nurses from various care units are identified and divided into an intervention group (which received training) and a control group (without training). Training is carried out using simulation methods and practical exercises involving realistic emergency scenarios. Before and after training, both groups were tested to measure their level of competency and readiness in responding to emergency situations. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the level of competency and readiness to respond to emergency situations in the group that received emergency handling skills training compared to the control group. Nurses who undergo training show increased abilities in evaluating situations, making decisions, and implementing appropriate actions in emergency situations. The conclusion of this research is that training in emergency management skills has a significant positive influence on increasing the competency and readiness of nurses in responding to emergency situations. Implementing regular and comprehensive training in care environments can be an effective strategy for improving healthcare standards and patient safety.

Abstract

Background. The outbreak of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia has prompted the government to issue many new policies related to various fields of community life. One of them is a policy in the field of education, namely through the establishment of the LFH (Learning from Home) policy for all levels of education. The problem that arises is the demand for changes in student behavior from traditional learning methods to independent learning patterns. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to determine how students apply Pancasila values in implementing learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic era in line with government policies. Method. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach, which began with a literature study to find out aspects related to Pancasila values, LFH learning methods and health policies in the Covid-19 Pandemic era. Based on the results of the literature study, a questionnaire was developed to collect data from students. The questionnaire was made an online version using google form so that it was easily filled in by respondents, namely 30 new Tadris English students. Results. The research findings are interesting to note, namely the majority of respondents (85%) argue that government policies in the field of education in the current Covid-19 Pandemic era have not been carried out effectively. In fact (67.5%) students stated that there was a decrease in learning motivation among students. This finding needs to be immediately anticipated by decision-makers in higher education. Conclusion. The values of Pancasila that are applied at this time are Fair and Civilized Humanity and Indonesian Unity.
