Abstract

This research is based on the implementation of the custom of eating lamang which is often carried out at weddings and cannot be separated from the traditions in the Kenagarian Sungai Talang community, Lima puluh Kota Regency. This research aims to =ind out the function, meaning and cultural values found in the custom of eating lamang at weddings in Kenagarian Sungai Talang. Research methods and techniques are divided into three stages, namely: data provision stage, data analysis stage, and data analysis results presentation stage. At the data provision stage, the listening method and the pro=icient method were used. The basic technique used in the listen method is the tapping technique and the advanced techniques are the skillful listening and note taking technique. At the data analysis stage, the referential equivalent method and the translational equivalent method were used. The basic technique used is the technique of selecting the determining elements and the advanced technique used is the contrasting comparison technique. Furthermore, in presenting the results of data analysis, the method used is an informal presentation method. The results of this research show that the traditional lamang eating procession contains functions, meanings and cultural values of the language in it

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui apakah kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada MR. BRO BARBERSHOP secara parsial. (2) Untuk mengetahui apakah harga berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada MR. BRO BARBERSHOP secara parsial. (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah kualitas pelayanan dan harga terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada MR. BRO BARBERSHOP secara simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Roscoe dan dengan bantuan software SOSS23. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa uji parsial (uji-t) variabel kualitas pelayanan (X1) dan variabel harga (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Uji simultan (uji-f) membuktikan bahwa variabel independen yaitu variabel kualitas pelayanan (X1) dan variabel harga (X2 berpengaruh terhadap variabel dependen yang berupa kepuasan pelanggan (Y)

Abstract

Language is always used in everyday communication. During the communication process, cooperation between the speaker and the interlocutor is necessary. The principle of cooperation is one of the studies in pragmatics. Many violations of the cooperative principle can create humor, but not only violations; adherence can also create humor, and this can be seen in the Playlist Cerita Cintaku 2022 on the YouTube channel Raditya Dika. This research aims to explain the maxims of the cooperative principle that are adhered to and violated in the Playlist Cerita Cintaku 2022 on the YouTube channel Raditya Dika and to explain the techniques of creating a humorous language based on the language categories found in the Playlist Cerita Cintaku 2022 on the YouTube channel Raditya Dika. There are three stages of research, namely the data provision stage, data analysis stage, and presentation of data analysis results stage. In the data provision stage, the method and techniques used are the observation method with basic tapping technique and advanced technique of Free Involvement Conversation Observation (FIC) and note-taking. In the data analysis stage, the method and techniques used are the pragmatic equivalence method with basic Determining Element Selection (DES) technique and advanced techniques of Comparing Similarities (CS) and Comparing Differences (CD). In the presentation of data analysis results stage, an informal presentation method is used. From the data analysis results, there are cooperative principle maxims that are adhered to, namely the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, and the maxim of relevance. The violations of the cooperative principle maxims identified are the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relevance, and the maxim of manner. Then, there are techniques for creating humor based on language categories, namely: bombast, definition, facetiousness, infantilism, over-literalness, pun, wordplay, repartee, ridicule, sarcasm, and satire. From these techniques, it can be seen that the violation of the maxims of the cooperative principle is the most prevalent in creating humor.

Abstract

Community-based tourism development offers a sustainable approach to social and economic transformation, particularly in rural areas rich in cultural and historical potential. However, many communities, such as Jorong Kuok III Koto in Nagari Matua Mudiak, face challenges such as limited awareness of local potential and insufficient technical skills to manage and utilize these resources. Addressing this issue, the Community Service Program (PKM) titled "Assisting Nagari Development" aimed to empower the local community through the integration of cultural heritage preservation and digital technology. This program focused on enhancing the community’s capacity to document local history, manage tourism organizations, and utilize digital platforms for promotion. The program was conducted in four stages: identification of local potential through interviews with elderly residents, training in oral history documentation and digital tools, the establishment of a community tourism group (Pokdarwis), and dissemination activities, including a tourism pilot project and cultural festival. Results revealed increased community awareness of the socio-economic value of cultural heritage, enhanced digital skills among youth, and the successful formation of Pokdarwis to manage local tourism initiatives. Challenges included limited time and resources of community members and administrative delays, which were mitigated through flexible planning and remote training. This program demonstrated the transformative potential of participatory approaches in fostering community-led tourism development. It provided a replicable model for integrating cultural preservation and technology to empower rural communities and promote sustainable tourism. Future efforts will focus on scaling up these initiatives for broader impact.
