Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existing conditions of the intersection and provide performance improvement solutions through modeling and simulation using PTV VISSIM software. Data was obtained through field surveys, interviews with stakeholders, and related literature studies. The analysis was conducted with reference to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 to measure performance parameters such as degree of saturation, queue length, and average delay. The results showed that the existing condition of the Blimbing Three Intersection was at the LOS D level of service, with an average delay of 30.99 seconds and a queue length of 26.53 meters, reflecting less than optimal traffic performance. Based on the ARRB analysis, it is necessary to control the intersection by installing traffic signals to improve safety and efficiency. Three proposed scenarios were tested using VISSIM simulation, where Proposal 1 produced the best performance with a delay of 20.34 seconds and a queue of 10.37 meters (LOS C). Proposal 2, with a three-phase arrangement, actually worsened conditions with a delay of 54.72 seconds and a queue of 84.44 meters (LOS D). Meanwhile, Proposal 3, which combines three phases and the left-turn on-ramp feature (LTOR), gives almost as good results as Proposal 1, with a delay of 24.05 seconds and a queue of 16.28 meters, remaining at LOS C. Therefore, Proposal 3 is considered the most effective solution as it is able to improve traffic flow without neglecting the safety aspect.

Abstract

The cost analysis between the wholesale wage system and work efficiency has special significance in housing projects, such as in Central Park Juanda Housing by PT. The Scarlet Witch is a saint. Through a quantitative approach, this study also contributes to the construction management literature related to workforce management in the field. This study used a sample of 45 respondents consisting of construction workers in the Central Park Juanda housing project, including foremen, handymen, and other field workers. Respondent profiles included gender distribution (82% male), age (dominant 31-41 years), education (47% high school/vocational school), competency certification (58% have certificates), and work experience (dominant 11-15 years). The questionnaire data was tested for validity using the Pearson method with a significance level of 5% and all items were declared valid (rh ? 0.3). Reliability was tested with Cronbach's alpha, and all variables (X1 to Y) were declared reliable (? ? 0.6). The results showed that all independent variables (X1: Labor, X2: Wages, X3: Materials, and X4: Projects) had a negative influence on project efficiency (Y). However, only the variable X4 (Project State) had a significant effect with a significance value of 0.002 (< 0.05), while the other variables (X1, X2, and X3) were insignificant., then the data shown by the probability of significance of the ANOVA analysis was with a significance value of 0.021 < 0.05 thus Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that simultaneously there was a significant influence. This shows that the state of the project plays an important role in influencing work efficiency, while labor, wholesale wages, and materials do not have a significant impact in the context of this study.

Abstract

Higher education institutions are required to provide a conducive learning environment to produce excellent and competitive human resources. One of the keys supporting factors is the availability of adequate infrastructure, including accessible financial services within the campus. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) responded to this need by constructing a banking building as part of its efforts to create an integrated digital campus ecosystem. However, the project faced significant delays from the original schedule, prompting the need for acceleration strategies that maintain both cost and quality. One such strategy is the Fast Track method, which allows construction activities to be carried out in parallel to shorten the project duration. This study aims to analyze the project’s time and cost using the Fast Track method, a project acceleration technique that enables activities to be performed simultaneously to reduce execution time. The research was conducted on the ITS Banking Building construction project, which has a contract value of Rp 11,871,000,000 and a planned duration of 120 calendar days. The analysis involved identifying critical activities using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and then rescheduling using the Fast Track approach to calculate the optimal time and cost. The results of the study show that the optimal project duration after applying the Fast Track method is 112 working days, which represents a 6.7% reduction from the original 120 days. The optimal cost after acceleration using the Fast Track method is Rp 9,696,512,763, representing a 9.3% reduction from the initial cost of Rp 10,694,683,195pa.

Abstract

Effective time management is essential for ensuring project implementation aligns with the planned schedule, and one way to achieve this is through the use of Earned Value Analysis (EVA). EVA is employed to estimate the extent to which a project is progressing according to its work plan. This research aims to analyze the timeline of a road construction project using the Earned Value Analysis Method to estimate the final project completion time on a monthly basis. The methodology employed in this study involves the application of the Earned Value Method over a project duration of 18 months. The importance of the Earned Value Analysis Method lies in its ability to assist both the project owner and implementer in more easily analyzing the project's performance, thereby providing significant benefits for both parties. The study found that the project completion time did not align with the initial project schedule. Specifically, the calculation of the cumulative project completion time was 9 months, whereas the planned duration was 18 months. This indicates a delay of 7 months beyond the planned schedule.

Abstract

This research aims to determine community empowerment-based self-management construction projects and contractual-based construction projects in Sumenep District, using the AHP (Analytical Hierachy Process) method. The AHP method is used to analyze the results of the questionnaire so that the weight value of the criteria and sub criteria can be known as the basis for selecting the implementation of construction activities. Based on the results of the analysis of alternative construction implementation contractual weight is 0.501 and community empowerment is 0.499. The implementation of contractual-based construction projects is preferred with consideration of a more organized implementation, both in time (time schedule) and regulations governing it such as sanctions and fines when there are obstacles in the field being part of the responsibility for the implementation of contractual-based construction. Contractual-based construction implementation tends to be more organized and in accordance with strict schedules and regulations, including sanctions and fines if there are obstacles in the field. In contrast, self-managed construction based on community empowerment, such as in the village fund program, often has leeway in terms of a longer implementation period and supervision carried out by the community itself, not by experts. Thus, stakeholders are expected to clarify the regulations governing which works are carried out in a self-managed manner and which works are carried out contractually in government programs.
