Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low understanding of class VIII UPTD SMP Neger 1 Gunungsitoli students related to Integrated Social Studies subjects. Learning difficulties have an impact on the activities of students in the classroom who tend to be passive and do not play an active role. The purpose of this study was to determine learning difficulties in social studies learning in students at UPTD SMPN 1 Gunungsitoli Utara. In this study researchers used qualitative research methods. The results of the research conducted, it is known that the factors that influence students' learning difficulties include internal and external factors. Internal factors include the minimal interest in learning of students and the low level of learning ability of students so that it affects low learning outcomes, as well as external factors which include lack of attention from parents and the way teachers teach that has not hit students. It can be concluded that students have difficulty learning social studies, caused by external and internal factors.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model in improving student learning outcomes in Social Studies subjects at SMP N 16 Kerinci. Based on preliminary data, there is a problem of low student engagement and inadequate academic achievement. The theoretical foundation used includes constructivism theory that supports active student involvement in the learning process. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instruments included learning outcome tests and student learning activity observation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that the application of the CORE model significantly improved students' learning outcomes compared to the conventional method. Data analysis also showed an increase in student learning activities, especially in the aspects of engagement and reflection on the material learned. The discussion of the research results indicates that the CORE model is effective in promoting students' concept understanding and critical thinking skills. The conclusion of this study confirms the importance of implementing innovative learning models such as CORE in improving the quality of learning in schools. This research provides practical contributions for teachers in designing more effective learning strategies, as well as opening opportunities for further research on the application of constructivism-based learning models in the Indonesian educational context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of applying the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) learning model in improving student learning outcomes at UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli. This research was conducted at UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles, each with a structured evaluation of teacher ability, student activeness, and student learning outcomes. The results showed that in the first cycle, the teacher's ability to apply the SFAE model reached an average of 49.21%, increasing significantly to 85.93% in the second cycle. Student activeness also increased from an average of 62% to 84.94% between the first and second cycles. Student learning outcomes showed a significant increase from an average of 74.40% to 83.59%, with the percentage of learning completeness increasing from 48.14% to 88.88%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the SFAE model significantly improved student engagement and learning outcomes at UPTD SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli, indicating that this model is effective in improving learning quality. This research supports the use of interactive and visual methods in the learning process to achieve better educational outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi ekonomi keluarga terhadap minat generasi penerus untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi di DesaTogimbogi. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada realitas bahwa faktor ekonomi keluarga khususnya di Desa Togimbogi sering kali menjadi penentu utama dalam pengambilan keputusan pendidikan anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada dua kelompok narasumber, yaitu orang tua dan generasi penerus, guna memperoleh perspektif yang lebih menyeluruh. Hasil dari kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat keterbatasan ekonomi dalam sebagian besar keluarga responden, generasi penerus tetap menunjukkan minat yang tinggi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Faktor-faktor seperti motivasi pribadi, prestasi belajar, serta dukungan moral dari orang tua turut mempengaruhi keputusan anak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi ekonomi keluarga memang berperan penting, namun bukan satu-satunya faktor yang menentukan minat generasi penerus dalam melanjutkan pendidikan. Komitmen keluarga dan kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan menjadi aspek yang mampu menumbuhkan keinginan kuat untuk melanjutkan studi ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi

Abstract

Ketimpangan ekonomi masih menjadi permasalahan serius khususnya di Desa Tetehosi Afia Mazingo. Ketimpangan ini ditandai dengan penghasilan rata-rata sebesar Rp. 1.000.000 per bulan masyarakat yang mayoritas bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. Salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam mengatasi masalah ini adalah melalui program bantuan sosial yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi kemiskinan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi lapangan dan wawancara langsung dengan warga desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bantuan sosial seperti Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Program Bantuan Harapan (PBH), Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT), Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT), Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP), Beras Sejahtera (Rastra), BPJS dan Rehabilitasi Sosial Rumah Tidak Layak Huni memang telah disalurkan, namun belum mampu mengatasi ketimpangan secara menyeluruh. Beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan antara lain ketidaktepatan sasaran penerima bantuan, pemanfaatan bantuan yang masih bersifat konsumtif, serta minimnya akses terhadap pendidikan dan lapangan kerja. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan yang lebih tepat sasaran dan berkelanjutan, seperti integrasi bantuan sosial dengan program pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal agar bantuan tidak hanya bersifat sementara, tetapi mampu meningkatkan kemandirian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara jangka panjang.

Abstract

Meningkatnya demografi dan mobilitas penduduk mengakibatkan tingkat permintaan akan kebutuhan semakin tinggi, salah satunya adalah tempat tinggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan pengaruh factor ekonomi, factor demografis, factor lokasi, factor sosial, dan factor kebijakan pemerintah (Variabel X) di perumahan puncak asri desa hilihao, serta hubungannya terhadap keputusan pembelian rumah (variabel Y). (2) Mengetahui factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan perumahan di puncak asri desa hilihao. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian berjumlah 20 konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor ekonomi (harga rumah, kemampuan cicilan, dan penghasilan) merupakan pertimbangan utama dalam keputusan pembelian rumah. Faktor lokasi juga menjadi dominan, terutama aksesibilitas terhadap jalan utama, pasar, sekolah, dan fasilitas kesehatan. Sementara itu, faktor demografis (usia, status keluarga, pendidikan) memengaruhi kebutuhan rumah berdasarkan tahapan kehidupan. Faktor sosial berkaitan dengan lingkungan pergaulan dan tingkat keamanan, sedangkan faktor kebijakan pemerintah meliputi regulasi perumahan dan ketersediaan subsidi yang mempermudah keputusan pembelian. Kesimpulan Variabel X terbukti berpengaruh secara kualitatif terhadap variabel Y. Dengan demikian, pemahaman mendalam terhadap variabel X dapat membantu pengembang perumahan dan pemangku kebijakan dalam merancang strategi pemasaran dan penyediaan perumahan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s observation during the learning process at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli, where there have been obstacles in the learning process, resulting in relatively low student learning outcomes. The objectives of this study are: (1) to examine the implementation of Augmented Reality technology in the Integrated Social Studies subject for Grade VIII at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli, and (2) to analyze the students’ learning outcomes in the subject through the implementation of Augmented Reality technology. This study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in class VIII-G with 32 students serving as both the sample and the population. Based on field data collected by the researcher, the findings are as follows: (1) the teacher observation score in the first cycle reached an average of 65.17%, while in the second cycle it increased to 87.5%. (2) Student activity observation in the first cycle reached an average of 50.89% and increased to 88% in the second cycle. (3) The learning evaluation score in the first cycle was 76.57%, and in the second cycle it improved to 90.88%. The mastery percentage in the first cycle was 46.87%, while in the second cycle it reached 93.75%. It can be concluded that the implementation of Augmented Reality technology enhanced both understanding and student learning outcomes. Thus, applying Augmented Reality technology contributes positively to improving the learning outcomes in the Integrated Social Studies subject for Grade VIII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Role Playing learning model on students’ understanding of cultural material in Integrated Social Studies (IPS) for Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Botomuzoi in the 2024/2025 academic year. The background of this research is the low student achievement in cultural topics, due to the use of conventional learning methods that do not actively involve students. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design of the one group pretest-posttest type, without a control group. The sample consisted of 18 students from class VIII-A. The instrument used was an essay-based learning achievement test administered before and after the treatment. The results showed an increase in the average score from 47.11 (pre-test) to 85.22 (post-test). The Paired Sample t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of the Role Playing model on students’ learning outcomes. Additionally, this model enhanced student engagement, motivation, and understanding of cultural concepts. Therefore, the Role Playing learning model is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in social studies, particularly in cultural material, and is recommended as an alternative active learning strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning interest through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in Social Studies (IPS) for Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Botomuzoi in the 2024/2025 academic year. The main issue addressed is the low level of student interest in learning due to the use of monotonous conventional teaching methods and the suboptimal implementation of the CTL model by teachers. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection instruments included teacher and student observation sheets, student learning interest questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed a significant increase in students’ learning interest and academic performance. Teacher observation scores improved from 61.66% in the first cycle to 93.33% in the second cycle, student observations increased from 58.92% to 89.44%, student learning interest rose from 61.09% to 93.79%, and learning mastery improved from 46.88% to 100%. These findings indicate that the CTL model is effective in enhancing students’ interest and academic outcomes. Therefore, CTL is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to create meaningful and contextual learning experiences in Social Studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of Assemblr Edu-based learning media in social studies subjects in improving the learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a class action research (PTK). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli, in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the subjects in this study were VII grade students totaling 32 people. The research instruments used were (1) teacher observation sheets, (2) student observation sheets, (3) photos/documentation, (4) learning outcome tests. Based on the researcher's findings that: (1) the average result of the teacher observation sheet in cycle I was 62.49% and in cycle II teacher observation increased to 90.83%. (2) while the average student activity observation sheet results in cycle I were 60.7% and in cycle II increased with an average of 84.45%. Based on the evaluation results, the average student learning outcomes in cycle I were 67.86% with a completeness percentage level of 46.87%. While in cycle II it increased with an average learning outcome of 83.5% with a percentage level of completeness of 90.62%. Based on these results, this study has reached the predetermined target of 75%. Thus, the researchers concluded that there was an increase in student learning outcomes in grade VII social studies subjects through the application of Assemblr Edu-based media to improve student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli.
