Abstract

This research examines the social impact of boarding house headway around the State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar in Gowa Regency. The focus of this research is to elucidate the three questions which are 1) How the portrait of students’ life in boarding house around the State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar in Gowa regency. 2) How the social impact of boarding house headway around the University. 3) How the solution to overcome the social impact of boarding house headway around the University in Gowa Regency.       The qualitative descriptive is the method applied in this research. The main instrument is the researcher with all media used in research. The primer and secunder are the resources. Observation, interview, and documentation are the ways to collect the data. Descriptive data analysis is by prolonging the participation and observation, collecting data, and verifying the validity data continously.             The outcome of this research can be concluded as following: 1) It is found three types of students, namely the first type is students who really want to study and spend time for college; second type isa half-focus in college means students in a half-way to college; The third type is students who are ignorant and indifferent clarify that student who are really no willingness to learn. 2) It is found some of the social impacts of the progress of boardinghouses around the campus are the problem of free sex that lead to free sex, garbage problem that resultfrom boarding houses, slum settlement problem that is caused by private homes convert to boarding house which result slums settlement, noisy problem that can disturb the peace and comfort of the local community. 3) It is noticed that several solutions to overcome the social impacts of the boarding house headway are firstly to rearrange the boarding house and supervise the owner properly. Secondly, it requires the involvement of local authorities and police officers in controlling, supervising and even curbing if it is necessary. The last, the involvement of religious leaders, community leaders, and campus parties are needed to conduct guidance and awareness to students directly or indirectly.

Abstract

This paper relates to the brief history of Sheikh Yῡsuf al-Makassary as well as his brief role in the Spread of Islam in Gowa-Makassar as his birth land.Sheikh Yῡsuf was born in 1626 M and grew up among noble families of Gowa-Tallo Kingdoms and then travelled to seek and deepen his Islamic knowledge from Aceh, India to the middle East (1645-1668) or for around 23 years and then he became a great ṣῡfῑ and left many of his treatises for Islamic community, especially for his followers, which are most of them still preserved at Universiteit Bibliotheq Leiden and the national museum of Jakarta at the present day. The main concept of Islamic mysticism of Sheikh Yῡsuf as one of his reform in the spread of Islam in Gowa-Makassar is the purification of belief (‘aqῑdah) in the Oneness of Allāh or in the Unity of God (tawḥῑd). This is his attempt to explain God’s transcendence (Ilāh) on His creatures. In a quoted al-Ikhlash verse (QS. 112:1-4) and al-Shura’ verse of al-Qur’an that there is nothing comparable to Him (QS. 42: 11), Sheikh Yῡsuf emphasized that the Oneness of Allāh is infinite and absolute. Tawḥῑd  is the essential component in Islam. Moreover he compares “the immaculate tawḥῑd with a leafy tree; Gnostic knowledge (ma‘rῑfa) is its branches and leaves, and devotional services (‘ibādah) are its fruit.” Further he said that if you got the tree, you will get its branches and leaves, and if you got them, you will even look for fruit of the tree. If you did not get its branches and leaves, it is impossible to get its fruit. Therefore, tawḥῑd without ma‘rῑfah is like a tree without branches and leaves, and it is impossible to get its fruit, except if the branches and leaves of the tree grew up again, then its fruit can be hoped. In other words, only a man, who has tawḥῑd  with ma‘rῑfa, could perform devotional service well to God. This teaching was used as the basic reform ideas in the spread of Islam in Gowa-Macassar, South Sulawesi and then brought a big changing to the cultural of his society and then made Muslim in Gowa-Makassar to be a more fervent Muslim. Therefore, one of the reform movements in his homeland was that he tried to pull out and then to release the people of Gowa-Makassar from the bad habits such as activities in serving idols / idols places, alcoholic beverages, cockfighting and gambling in crowded places. Because those can be a great danger to his native land; he said that the collapse of an empire because of the weakness of the faith of its people. On the other hand, the strength of an empire can guarantee the enforcement of sharῑ‘ah h. But it also depends on the leader. A good leader / ruler is one who able to enforce the Islamic law or sharῑ‘ah h in the middle of his society. Thus the main priority in the renewal of his mystical teachings for Muslims believers especially in Gowa Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia is the purification of confidence by implementing ṣῡfism which is more oriented to the sharῑ‘ah  , where he tried hard to reconcile sharῑ‘ah  and ḥaqῑqah. Among the various types of ṣῡfῑ orders affiliated with him, Ṭarῑqat al-Khalwatiyya is the famous one, which is later more popular with Khalwatiyyat al-Yῡsufiyya that has found fertile land especially in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Poverty Reduction Strategy (Perspective of Socio-Economic Communities) examines the factors causing poverty, and poverty alleviation strategies. This research method uses a kind of qualitative approach that is done intensive, in-depth, detailed and comprehensive with the stages of doing exploration where the target of research by using phenomenology method, then formulate theories that lead researchers to seek more in the issues studied, while the technique data collection is natural setting with the sense that expected what kind of events experienced by individuals and not influenced by the presence of researchers in the family. Besides that, descriptive data were collected, in-depth interviews, documentation study observation and Miles and Huberman model data analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The results showed that the causes of poverty are institutional and policy factors, limiting factors of natural resources, factors in the community, the lack of opportunity plus the mental attitude that resigned to the situation, lazy beker je and trying and lain.Sedangkan government efforts in alleviating poverty that is training and special education, mental guidance towards independence and the kretivitas of the poor, and others. In poverty alleviation besides the perspective of populist economy, there is also a socio-cultural perspective and even a religious perspective can also be effective in encouraging and motivating people to get out of the crush of poverty.Keywords: "Training and creativity of the community is the poverty eradication"

Abstract

Nowadays, the world is more open and almost without any boundaries which brings about what is called open society. It is about to happen due to the era of information which takes place in every single country will be potentially giving the impact to the worldwide. This condition represents to people’s life who live in a global village. The concequence of this condition makes people to open their eyes of how important on the human rights and the commitment in developing their human-beings which are plural, open, advance, fair, equal, democratic, and modern, but they are still in to the values of local wisdom which are spiritual, moral, and civilized. The Madani citizens or civil society is the product of awareness of human rights and the commitment to build up the world in peace, restful, safety, and welfare to all people around the world. This concept is a kind of Rasullulah Saw’s. Dakwah reality whom He gets success to put the basic principles of Moslem people’s life in Madinah which portray about plurality, tolerance, open, democratic, fair, welfare, and civilization. The concept of how to be a citizen and to be a state turns trully the inspiration out for scholars and scientists in looking for modern and progressive society within the values of Ilahia spirituality and solidarity.

Abstract

This study aims to map the pattern and model of da'wah through social media. Facebook as a medium of da'wah in the digital era. Specifically, the research is directed at analyzing the packaging process, delivery and public response in receiving the message of KH's M Arif Marzuki Hasan da’wah through the Facebook page of the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School Maccopa, South Sulawesi. This research is qualitative research using a historical approach and da'wah. The data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and literature. The results show that the form and model of da'wah delivered through the social media platform Facebook is one of the innovative ways of transmitting and disseminating da'wah messages. The public's response as the object of da'wah views that the convergence of da'wah media on the Facebook platform is seen as providing benefits according to the category of da'wah messages in terms of interpretation of the Qur'an, morality, aqidah and shari'ah. The implication of the research shows that there is a need to develop a da'wah model through a more varied pattern of packaging da'wah content. In addition, with social media platforms, da'wah is an alternative to capturing opportunities for digital da'wah activities.

Abstract

Koperasi Pondok Pesantren (Kopontren) tumbuh dan berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan dari pondok pesantren tempatnya bernaung. Selain memiliki peran ke dalam berupa pemenuhan kebutuhan para santri, keberadaan Kopontren juga penting bagi masyarakat sekitar pondok tersebut. Hal yang sama juga berlaku pada Kopontren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Terdapat banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan oleh Kopontren dalam mencapai kondisi tersebut. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis usaha-usaha yang dilakukan oleh Kopontren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa dalam mendukung perekonomian masyarakat sekitar pondok.Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan interpretif, yang merupakan suatu bentuk penelitian yang bertujuan memahami realitas sosial yaitu melihat dunia dari apa adanya, bukan dunia yang seharusnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kopontren memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam perekonomian masyarakat sekitarnya. Beberapa program yang Kopontren yang mampu membantu perekonomian masyarakat sekitar antara lain usaha pertokoan dan kantin, pinjaman modal usaha, bagi hasil perdagangan, dan sewa kelola mesin jahit. Indikator perekonomian yang digunakan antara lain SDA, SDM, serta pendidikan dan teknologi.Kata kunci: Kopontren, Perekonomian, Pesantren, Masyarakat.

Abstract

Economic growth can be measured from various sectors, one of which is UMKM. Becoming a UMKM manager should be done early by the community. Islamic Entrepreneurship training at the Khairu Ummah School is conducted to provide basic knowledge and motivation for students to start entrepreneurship from an early age. The description of a business that has the potential to be developed is also exemplified, namely the culinary ice cream business. This training uses the PAR (participatory action research) method in the form of community service activities (PKM). The participatory approach is that the Khairu Ummah school as a partner is directly involved in every activity carried out so that partners can better understand and be able to directly practice what has been trained. The evaluation results showed that there was an increase in the participants' knowledge and skills of around 80% regarding the need for entrepreneurship and Islamic ways of entrepreneurship, as well as how to make halal and thayyib ice cream. This certainly provides new knowledge to students about Islamic entrepreneurship procedures.

Abstract

This type of research is included in qualitative research using a research approach method, namely the Islamic Community Development approach. Furthermore, the data sources are primary data and secondary data. Then the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, documentation. Then the data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through SWOT Analysis. The results showed that the swallow cultivation process includes 1) making swallow nests, in Bontoraja Village there are 6 buildings or swallow business houses. 2) inviting swallows, how to invite swallows easily using a voice recorder, Cd or cassette. 3) swallow breeding, 4) swallow livestock care, 5) swallow cage or house maintenance. Efforts to develop swallow cultivation entrepreneurship there are two factors, namely internal factors and external factors, swallow business in Bontoraja Village there are only 5 entrepreneurs in the development stage. Challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship development are the challenges of pest disruptors such as rats. The opportunity is the price classification, and the large export market demand. The weaknesses are the high capital to build a building or swallow house and the different selling prices of swallow nests. The advantages of the swallow business in Bontoraja Village are the strategic location in building a swallow building or house and the abundance of food sources.

Abstract

This research discusses Community Assistance Efforts to Prevent Stunting in Maccinibaji Village, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The main problems in this research are: 1). What is the condition of families at risk of stunting in Maccinibaji Village? 2). How are community assistance efforts to prevent stunting in Maccinibaji Village? The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources for this research are community assistants, village midwives, village government and the Maccinibaji Village community, especially pregnant women and mothers with toddlers. Furthermore, the data collection method is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is used by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: (1) The condition of families at risk of stunting in Maccinibaji Village is a family that contains pregnant mothers, prospective brides and grooms who have Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED), which we can know by measuring the circumference of their upper arms <23.5 cm which is caused by Economic factors and parental knowledge about healthy and proper nutrition for their children are lacking among people who are at risk of stunting. (2) Efforts to assist the community in preventing stunting in Maccinibaji Village include: This awareness stage aims to prevent stunting by providing education about stunting. The independence stage includes preparing oneself to become aware of stunting prevention. This evaluation stage aims to review what has been done to address stunting prevention. The implication of this research is that community assistants together with midwives and the village government will further improve their performance in assisting families at risk of stunting and stunted children. As well as assistance to pregnant women who (Chronic Energy Deficiency) KEK is expected to be even more optimal. And for the people of Maccinibaji Village, they will be wiser in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and parenting their children so that they do not experience stunting.

Abstract

The Family Planning Programme strategy is a programme strategy with the main objective of fostering a quality family so as to provide opportunities for the community to plan family life towards a prosperous family. The purpose of this research is to find out what strategies are used in the Family Planning programme in improving family welfare in Lompoe Village. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation, while data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, data verification and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the condition of family welfare in Lompoe Village has not been fully achieved, especially in the aspect of psychological welfare. The psychological factor is the control of the soul in fostering a harmonious family is very important, because the family is the first place of education for children. Parents providing love, security and comfort in the family have an impact on forming a prosperous family. The family planning (KB) programme still suffers from many weaknesses in the area of supervision after the use of the programme, both hormonal and mechanical, the right solution in supervision has not yet been found. Bad stigma about family planning is also still an obstacle in the implementation of this programme, which ultimately leads to community rejection.
