Abstract

The science development and information technology sophistication in the era of globalization that can be seen from television, internet and other media almost make the world has no boundary between regions and countries so that foreign cultures (from the west) which the majority deviates from the norms and rules of Islam are easily accepted by many countries including Indonesia. This condition causes young generation to experience a moral crisis that needs a serious attention from educators, especially parents in fortifying their children with a strong faith in order not to get carried away into the valley of error through the communication process that is managed effectively. To fortify a child with a strong faith, it is necessary to develop a concept of education derived from the Qur'an which is the first and main source of Islamic teachings. For that reason, a study entitled "The Management Concept of Communication Education in the Perspective of the Qur'an" was conducted. The study focuses on discussing the management concept of communication education in the perspective of the Qur'an. This study aims to determine the role of communication management in instilling education and to develop a concept ojnhgkmf educational communication management in the perspective of the Qur'an. It is a library research which is done by using rationalistic approach. The analysis method was content analysis. Then, the data were collected by using documentary method with thematic study model that comes from the Qur'an and other supporting resources such as books of interpretation and scientific books. The verses of the Qur'an which were studied contains interpersonal communications i.e. communication between two or more persons. The results indicate that the role of communication management is very urgent in instilling education to children. The Qur'an has explained on how to communicate effectively and efficiently with good communication so that it is easy for parents to introduce education such as aqidah, shariah, akhlak, and Tazkiyah. The concept of faith education contains the cultivation of faith. The concept of sharia education contains sacrificial education, prayer, and zakat. The concept of moral education contains the dutiful command to the parents, the mandate, and the morality. The concept of tazkiyah education contains patience and not spiteful and arrogant. Based on these findings, it can be understood that the concept of educational communication management in the perspective of the Qur'an has a number of rules that can be used as a guide for parents to educate their children to act and behave in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Theoretically, the culture that is still running in a group is a sign that cultural actors still play a role in the midst of society. In this context, cultural moral values and actions should also color the cultural group. It is different in Panyabungan, although Panyabungan is known as a district that is thick with nuances of customs, some of the people in Panyabungan do not describe a community with character in accordance with local cultural values and moral actions. This article was written in order to see how hatobangon's role in guiding the character of the community in Panyabungan. The research method used in this article is filed research with a descriptive-qualitative approach then the data is analyzed reductively. The results of this study found that hatobangon in guiding the character of the community in Panyabungan was only limited through traditional ceremonial containers. Meanwhile, in revitalizing customary values, hatobangon only socializes customary values in the community in their daily associations. In conclusion, hatobangon in its role in guiding the character of indigenous peoples in Panyabungan needs wider space for movement and government involvement.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School as an Islamic educational institution initially only taught religious knowledge. However, currently some Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia are trying to transform by adopting science education and even more focused on studying science. This is interesting because as a newcomer, the presence of Islamic Boarding School that has been transformed into a science boarding school is in great demand by the people of South Tapanuli. This research seeks to answer the paradigm that underlies the transformation, the underlying reasons and the purpose of the change. Methodologically, to read and analyze paradigm shifts in several Islamic boarding schools in South Tapanuli, this study uses an integration approach. Meanwhile, to capture the reasons that underlie the paradigm change and the purpose of the change, this research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study found that the transformative paradigm of science-religion is the paradigm that underpins the change. An important reality behind the transformation is the assumption that the Islamic boarding that existed so far has lost its dimension of reality. The main goal of the paradigm shift is to balance and revitalize science knowledge in educational institutions.

Abstract

Theoretically, Islamic doctrines can adapt to the situation and conditions of reality. However, in Islamic history, it isn't easy to find studies about the importance of establishing a relationship with nature or the environment in which that reality stands. This research offers a paradigm that bridges the new relationship between humans and the environment. At this level, the author builds a paradigm with a multidisciplinary approach. Methodologically, maqa>s}id al-shari>'ah is used as a paradigm foundation and umbrella for human actions when responding to their environment. This study found that the maqa>s}id al-shari>'ah-based eco-spiritual paradigm is embodied in spiritual actions in the form of sacralization and ecological contemplativeness. Explicatively, sacralization and ecological contemplativeness are applied based on the principles of Islamic ethics, al-insija>m (harmony), al-iqtis}a>d (equality), al-ta'a>nu>q (interdependency), and al-tanz}i>f (cleaning).

Abstract

This article aims to find out how the views of the overseas Mandailing community regarding gender equality. The Mandailing ethnic community is one of the tribes that is well known for strictly adhering to the patrilineal system. The selection of the Mandailing people who have migrated is nothing but to see whether there has been a change in perceptions and the factors that have caused these changes and shifts. The research applied descriptive qualitative research methods with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. This research resulted in the following findings: the perspective of gender equality among the Mandailing people who migrate has begun to be applied even though they do not understand the meaning of gender equality comprehensively; There has been a shift and change in perspective on gender equality among the Mandailing people who migrate to Medan City and its surroundings due to (1) the factor of Islam as the dominant religion embraced by the overseas Mandailing people; (2) the educational factor obtained by the overseas Mandailing community; (3) democratic factors that demand women's participation and participation. AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pandangan masyarakat Mandailing di perantauan mengenai kesetaraan gender. Masyarakat etnis Mandailing merupakan salah satu suku yang terkenal sangat memegang teguh sistem patrilineal. Pemilihan masyarakat Mandailing yang telah merantau tidak lain adalah untuk melihat apakah telah terjadi perubahan persepsi dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan dan pergeseran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan-temuan sebagai berikut: perspektif kesetaraan gender di kalangan masyarakat Mandailing yang merantau sudah mulai diterapkan meskipun belum memahami makna kesetaraan gender secara komprehensif; telah terjadi pergeseran dan perubahan cara pandang terhadap kesetaraan gender di kalangan masyarakat Mandailing yang merantau di Kota Medan dan sekitarnya disebabkan oleh (1) faktor agama Islam sebagai agama dominan yang dianut oleh masyarakat Mandailing di perantauan; (2) faktor pendidikan yang diperoleh masyarakat Mandailing di perantauan; (3) faktor demokrasi yang menuntut keikutsertaan dan partisipasi kaum perempuan.

Abstract

The ecological paradigm in this context refers to an approach that combines environmental principles with religious values and local wisdom in an effort to maintain ecological sustainability and build harmonious relationships between humans and nature. This study used an integrative approach with convergence analysis. In the mechanism of this approach, Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and Tapanuli indigenous religious concepts are used in a complementary manner in building a paradigm to achieve ethical goals related to ecology. The result of the integration of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and the traditional religious concept of Tapanuli found that Mangholongi Bona Bulu as a new religious ethic in responding to ecology. The shift from a pseudo-paradigm to an objective is a necessity in building a sustainability ecology. This study makes an important contribution to the development of ecological-religious cultural theory and practice, as well as providing a deeper understanding of religious values and local wisdom in the context of the environment. The implications of this research are the importance of incorporating ecological perspectives in the development of sustainable policies and practices, as well as the need to explore and respect religious traditions and local wisdom in maintaining ecological balance and strengthening human relationships with nature.

Abstract

AbstractThe universalism of the Islamic scholarly tradition is seen as one of the keys in responding to some challenges and opportunities that come along with an increasingly connected modernity. This research examines the evolution of Islamic thought from a period of disintegration to integration and underscores the importance of the universalist approach in uniting different schools and views within the Islamic world. The type of research used in this study is library research using a paradigmatic philosophical-historical analysis approach. The research combines three approaches: philosophical, historical, and paradigmatic analysis. In this context, philosophical analysis explores concepts related to universalism in Islam. The data in this research were obtained through a literature study. Researchers are involved in in-depth reading several books, papers, articles, and classical texts relevant to the past understandings of universalism. These data are also used for perspective enrichment. The results of this study show the originality of tradition and modernity as historical roots and a foothold departing from the discussion of universalism of the Islamic scientific tradition. In addition, the results of this study also emphasize three methods of approach to produce universalism of the scientific tradition, namely: ideological criticism, historical analysis, and structural analysis. Universalisme tradisi keilmuan Islam dipandang sebagai salah satu kunci untuk menanggapi tantangan dan peluang yang datang bersama dengan modernitas yang semakin terhubung. Penelitian ini membahas tentang evolusi pemikiran Islam dari periode disintegrasi ke integrasi dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendekatan universalisme dalam menyatukan berbagai aliran dan pandangan di dunia Islam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis filosofis-historis paradigmatik. Penelitian ini menggabungkan tiga pendekatan: analisis filosofis, historis, dan paradigmatik. Dalam konteks ini, ketiga pendekatan tersebut dipergunakan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep yang berkaitan dengan universalisme dalam Islam. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, yang melibatkan pengumpulan buku, makalah, artikel, dan teks klasik yang relevan dengan topik penelitian yang mencerminkan pemahaman masa lalu tentang universalisme, juga digunakan untuk pengayaan perspektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan orisinalitas tradisi dan modernitas sebagai akar sejarah dan pijakan berangkat dari pembahasan universalisme tradisi ilmiah Islam. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menekankan tiga metode pendekatan untuk menghasilkan universalisme tradisi ilmiah, yaitu: kritik ideologis, analisis sejarah, dan analisis struktural.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengulas tentang muatan pendidikan karakter dalam kitab Fathu ar-Rabbani karya Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. Pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan Islam adalah satu nafas yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Dikarenakan pendidikan Islam adalah wujud dari karakter itu sendiri. Amat disayangkan, pendidikan Islam yang didaku sebagai wujud pendidikan karakter ternyata tidak banyak digarap dan tidak seimbang dengan banyaknya hasil pemikiran karakter dari luar Islam yang pada umumnya berasaskan moral sekuler. Dalam kitab Fathu ar-Rabbani banyak ditemui muatan pendidikan karakter yang bersumber dari nilai-nilai moralitas religius keislaman. Dari sisi emosional spritual artikel ini hadir untuk jadi penyeimbang dari pendidikan karakter yang berasaskan moral sekuler.  Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Fathu ar-Rabbani, Abdul Qadir al-Jailani
