Abstract

Coronary heart disease is caused by the narrowing of blood vessels due to atherosclerotic plaque. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is used to improve myocardial perfusion. Nursing education is crucial in enhancing patient understanding, preventing non-compliance with treatment, and helping them maintain a healthy lifestyle while preventing complications. This study aims to determine the effect of post-operative Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) care education on the knowledge level of patients in the ICVCU Room at dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. This study employed a quasi- xperimental method. The sample was selected using consecutive sampling, consisting of 30 respondents. The instruments used were questionnaires, leaflets, and educational videos. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The findings indicate that before the education was provided, most respondents had a moderate level of knowledge, with 19 respondents (63.3%). After the education, there was an increase, with the majority of respondents (63.3%) demonstrating good knowledge. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of education on increasing patient knowledge in the ICVCU Room at dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital.Improved understanding of post-PCI care plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of complications, such as bleeding at the puncture site or side effects from the prescribed medications

This research method uses a Preexperimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with 28 respondents. The sample determination used a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is audiovisual education, while the dependent variable in this study is knowledge of fall risk prevention. Data analysis used the Paired T-Test. There is significant increase in knowledge was obtained before and after audiovisual education was conducted on respondents, there was an increase from 3.11 to 6.96 and an increase in knowledge of 57.1% from 1 (3.6%) person to 17 (60.7%) person. Based on the results of the Paired T-test statistical test, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) = 0.000 which means that statistically there is an effect of audiovisual education on the prevention of the risk of falling on the patient's family in the ICU of Hospital. The audiovisual education method for preventing the risk of falls is an effective educational method for education with a result of an increase in knowledge.

Abstract

Adolescents face various health challenges related to mental health, anemia, and reproductive health due to rapid biological, psychological, and social changes. Limited health literacy and exposure to unverified digital information increase the risk of unhealthy behaviors. This community engagement program aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge, awareness, and preventive behavior through integrated health education interventions. The program combined mental health education using daily mood check cards and breathing relaxation techniques, anemia screening and education, and digital-based reproductive health education (MODEKSI DIGITAL). Activities were conducted in Rejomulyo Village involving adolescents through counseling sessions, interactive discussions, screening activities, and digital learning media. Evaluation methods included observation of participation, discussions, and assessment of knowledge improvement before and after the intervention. Results indicated increased emotional awareness, improved understanding of anemia prevention and balanced nutrition, and enhanced knowledge of reproductive health and responsible digital media use. Participants demonstrated high engagement and positive responses toward the educational activities. Challenges included inconsistent participation and limited emotional literacy among some participants. The integrated community-based approach proved effective in strengthening promotive and preventive health behavior among adolescents. Continuous mentoring and sustainable health education programs are recommended to maintain long-term impact.
