Abstract

Malaysia has the most extensive family takaful market with a growth rate of 16 percent in 2015. Takaful development in Malaysia should be assessed to govern better improvement especially for the insuranceindustry. This research aims to examine the efficiency level of 11 family takaful in Malaysia from 2017 to 2020 using Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA) involving management expenses as an input, net benefits & claims, and investment income as output. The result showed that Malaysian family takaful is considered less efficient from 2017 to 2020, with production efficiency level average at 56.83 percent. The author finds that management expenses negatively affect investment income, while net benefits & claims give positive impact. However, both variables are not significant enough to influence investment income. Keywords: Malaysia, Efficiency Level, Stochastic Frontier Approach.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Good Corporate Governance, Claim Expense Ratio, and Premium Growth Ratio on the Solvency Level of Malaysian Takaful. This study uses a quantitative approach using secondary data. The population of this study is all takaful companies in Malaysia with the 2016- 2021 research period. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. Samples that met the criteria were 11 family takaful companies in Malaysia out of 11 family takaful companies in Malaysia. The model used as an analysis tool is multiple linear regression. Data processing in this study uses the SPSS 25 tool. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the variables Executive Director, Non-Executive Director, Claim Expense Ratio, and Premium Growth Ratio have a positive and significant effect on Takaful Solvability (RBC) Families in Malaysia. In contrast, partial Executive Director has a negative and significant effect, Non-Executive Director has a positive and significant effect, and Claims expense ratio and premium growth ratio have no significant effect on risk-based capital (RBC) because the size of the claim expense does not affect the number of premiums received by insurance participants, which are included in the tabarru' fund which can only be used for the benefit of takaful participants so that they do not affect the amount of profit and retained earnings on equity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Good Corporate Governance and profit-sharing financing on the performance of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia as measured by profitability. This study is quantitative by using Profitability variables (ROA and ROE) as the dependent variable and Good Corporate Governance and profit-sharing financing (mudharabah, musyarakah) as independent variables. The purposive sampling was used as the sampling method in order to obtain 10 Sharia Commercial Banks (SCB) with a study period of 2009-2018. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and statistical analysis of panel data with eviews 8.0. The results of the study stated that Good Corporate Governance and mudhorobah profit-sharing had a significant positive effect on profitability (ROA and ROE).

Abstract

Keunggulan ASI tidak bisa ditandingi oleh apapun, baik ditijau dari segi zat gizi yang dikandungnya maupun aspek menyusui atau pemberian ASI itu sendiri (Agustina, 2016). ASI merupakan makanan yang memiliki gizi sempurna sesuai dengan kebutuhan bayi untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal. ASI juga mengandung zat zat berkualitas tinggi yang berguna untuk perkembangan kecerdasan dan kekebalan tubuh, sehingga bayi tidak mudah sakit dan mengalami kekurangan asupan gizi. Manfaat memberikan ASI tidak hanya menjalin kasih sayang, tetapi juga dapat mengurangi perdarahan setelah melahirkan, mempercepat pemulihan kesehatan ibu, menunda kehamilan, dan mengurangi resiko terkena kanker payudara (Roesli, 2008). Laktasi merupakan teknik menyusui mulai dari ASI dibuat sampai pada keadaan bayi menghisap dan menelan ASI. Laktasi merupakan bagian kelengkapan dari siklus reproduksi mamalia termasuk manusia. Masa laktasi berguna untuk menambah pemberian ASI dan meneruskan pemberian ASI sampai anak berumur 2 tahun dengan baik dan benar serta anak memperoleh kekebalan tubuh secara alami (Wiji & Mulyani, 2013). Proses laktasi menurut (Wiji & Mulyani, 2013) mempengaruhi hormonal, adapun hormon-hormon yang berperan dalam proses laktasi adalah : Progesteron, Estrogen, Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Prolaktin, Oksitosin dan Human Placental Lactogen (HPL). Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan informasi tentang apa itu Laktasi dan ASI Eksklusif dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 12 orang. Hasil evaluasi selama proses kegiatan berlangsung didapatkan hampir seluruh peserta telah paham dan tahu apa itu Laktasi dan ASI Eksklusif. Dengan adanya pendidikan kesehatan ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang Laktasi dan ASI Eksklusif sehingga target capaian ASI Eksklusif dapat meningkat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and the Return on Investment Ratio toward Solvency in Islamic Life Insurance Companies in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach using secondary data. The population of this study is all Sharia Life Insurance Companies in Indonesia with the 2017-2021 research period. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling method. Samples that met the criteria were 18 Sharia Life Insurance from 23 Sharia Life Insurance in Indonesia. The model used as an analysis tool is multiple regression analysis. Data processing in this study uses SPSS 25.0 tools. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the variables of the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors and Investment Return Ratio have a positive and significant effect on Solvency (RBC) on Sharia Life Insurance in Indonesia. Whereas the Board of Commissioners partially has a negative and significant effect on Solvability (RBC). In addition, Board of Directors has a negative and significant effect on Solvability (RBC) and the Return on Investment Ratio has no effect on Solvability (RBC).

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne form of formal education is a Vocational High School (SMK) where the learning process includes theory and practice in order to prepare graduates who are ready to work. In this regard, SMKN 10 has a specialization in banking and requires concepts and practices related to bank services standards. The solution provided by the Hayam Wuruk University (UHW) Perbanas Community Service (PkM) team was to conduct training as an implementation method. Training activities are carried out through preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. As a results, a number of students obtained the concept of customer service standards which included customer and teller services and cash transaction practices in the teller work unit through a web-based bank application.Keywords: Banking, Bank Service Standards, Training, Vocational School.  ABSTRAKSalah satu bentuk pendidikan formal adalah Sekolah Menengah  Kejuruan (SMK) yang proses pembelajaran meliputi teori dan praktik dalam rangka menyiapkan lulusan yang siap bekerja. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut SMKN 10 memiliki bidang peminatan perbankan dan memerlukan konsep serta praktik yang terkait dengan standar layanan bank. Solusi yang diberikan oleh tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Universitas Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas adalah melakukan pelatihan sebagai metode pelaksanaan. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan melalui tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasilnya sejumlah siswa memperoleh konsep standar layanan nasabah yang meliputi pelayanan nasabah dan teller serta praktik transaksi tunai pada unit kerja teller melalui aplikasi bank berbasis situs web. Abstract

The rapid development of the non-bank financial industry and the increase in Islamic insurance assets and investments can affect financial performance and risk, but it does not rule out the possibility that there are still irregularities in corporate governance. This study aims to analyze the effect of Good Corporate Governance, Liquidity Ratio and Investment Return on Profitability in Islamic Insurance. This study uses quantitative methods using secondary data. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method. Samples that meet the criteria are 15 Sharia Life Insurance companies in 2017-2022. The model used as an analytical tool is multiple linear regression using SPSS 26. The results of this study indicate that partially the Board of Commissioners and Liquidity Ratio have a positive and insignificant effect. Investment returns partially have a positive and significant effect on Profitability (ROA) in Islamic Life Insurance, while simultaneously the variables of the Board of Commissioners, Liquidity Ratio and Investment Results have a significant effect on Profitability in Islamic Life Insurance.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan pendidikan formal yang menyiapkan sejumlah siswanya siap bekerja. Salah satu SMK Negeri di Surabaya adalah SMKN 1. Sekolah tersebut memiliki jurusan Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga. Infrastruktur penunjang jurusan tersebut adalah laboratorium bank mini dengan unit kerja pelayanan nasabah dan teller. Sistem informasi pencatatan masih bersifat offline sehingga tidak fleksibel. Pencatatan yang dilakukan oleh siswa siswi SMKN 1 Surabaya kelas 12 juga masih sering keliru, sehingga diperlukan teori terkait teller. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut maka tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terkait sistem operasional teller berbasis web, sehingga lebih efektif dan efisien. Metode PkM yang digunakan adalah pelatihan terkait teori teller dan tata cara operasi sistem aplikasi bank berbasis web dilengkapi praktik. Peserta pelatihan berjumlah 32 siswa dan bertempat di laboratorium komputer SMKN 1 Surabaya. Sejumlah 32 (100%) siswa belum dapat melakukan inputan transaksi setoran maupun tarikan tunai. Namun, setelah dilakukan pelatihan keseluruhan siswa dapat melakukan inputan transaksi setoran tunai.  Jumlah siswa yang dapat melakukan inputan transaksi penarikan tunai setelah pelatihan adalah 29 siswa (90,6%), sedangkan tiga siswa tidak dapat melakukan inputan transaksi tersebut karena faktor jaringan internet yang tidak stabil.Kegiatan PkM ini menjadi penting karena memberikan pengetahuan tentang tanggung jawab dan tugas teller beserta sistem operasi bank yang fleksibel sehingga dapat dipelajari setiap waktu oleh siswa siswi jurusan Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga.

Abstract

 Abstract. One of the problems in Islamic microfinance institutions is the availability of human resources who understand and are qualified in Islamic banking operations. The development of professionalism of lecturers in the field of teaching regarding Islamic bank operation laboratories has been related to the problem of lackof understanding of human resources in BMT. The purpose of this activity is to provide training on Islamic banking operations. This training was attended by 5 employees of KSPPS BMT Peniti Kahuripan Muliya. The training participants came from three BMT branch offices, namely the Surabaya branch, the Boyolalibranch, and the Bandung branch. The methods used are 1) providing theoretical and practical knowledge about Islamic banking operations 2) assistance in the roleplay of Islamic banking operations. The results of this activity are: First, all participants of this training activity are very enthusiastic and highly motivated to participate in the implementation of Islamic banking operational training activities. Second, the participants who attended the training as a whole were 60% of all training participants.Abstrak. Salah satu masalah dalam lembaga keuangan mikro syariah adalah ketersediaan SDM yang memahami dan mumpuni dalam operasional perbankan syariah. Pengembangan profesionalisme dosen pada bidang pengajaran tentang laboratorium operasi bank syariah selama ini terkait dengan persoalan kurangnya pemahaman SDM di BMT. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang operasional perbankan syariah. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh para karyawan KSPPS BMT Peniti kahuripan Muliya sebanyak 5 orang. Peserta pelatihan berasal dari tiga kantor cabang BMT yaitu cabang Surabaya, cabang Boyolali, dan Cabang Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah 1) pemberian pengetahuan teoretis dan praktis tentang operasional perbankan syariah 2) pendampingan dalam roleplay operasional perbankan syariah. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah : Pertama, semua peserta kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat antusias, bersemangat, dan mempunyai motivasi yang tinggi mengikuti pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan operasional perbankan syariah. Kedua, peserta kegiatan yang mengikuti pelatihan secara keseluruhan adalah 60% dari semua peserta pelatihan.

Abstract

Abstract. Being a housewife is a noble position because of her role in taking care of the household and children. However, now there is a distortion. Housewives who are judged to just stay at home, it turns out that they also fill their activities with business. The purpose of this training is to build a sharia business mindset for Muslim women who are married. Women who are married, have children, always struggle with household activities and take care of their husbands and children. Therefore, we need a training that can improve the capability of housewives who are already married so that they can be self-actualized, independent, and have their own income. The method of implementation is preparatory training to start a business based on sharia economic principles, and is equipped with material on the history of the Prophet and why as a housewife should be able to work. The result of this activity is that partners are motivated to be able to do business and increase partner knowledge to build businesses based on sharia principles. Abstrak. Menjadi seorang ibu rumah tangga adalah posisi yang mulia karena perannya dalam mengurus rumah tangga dan anak. Akan tetapi, saat ini mulai terjadi distorsi. Ibu rumah tangga yang dinilai hanya diam saja di rumah, ternyata juga mengisi kegiatan dengan berbisnis. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk membangun mindset bisnis syariah pada perempuan muslim yang sudah berkeluarga. Perempuan yang sudah menikah, mempunyai anak, selalu berkutat dengan kegiatan rumah tangga dan mengurus suami dan anak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu pelatihan yang dapat meningkatkan kapabilitas ibu rumah tangga yang sudah berkeluarga supaya dapat mengaktualisasi diri, mandiri, dan mempunyai penghasilan sendiri. Metode pelaksanaannya adalah pelatihan persiapan untuk memulai usaha berdasarkan prinsip ekonomi syariah, dan dilengkapi dengan materi sejarah Rasulullah dan mengapa sebagai seorang ibu rumah tangga harus dapat berkarya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah mitra termotivasi untuk dapat berbisnis dan menambah pengetahuan mitra untuk membangun bisnis berdasarkan prinsip syariah.
