Abstract

The course algebraic structure is one of the compulsory subjects in the mathematics Education Study Program. One of the topics discussed in the structure course is group theory. The group theory is one the course algebraic structure that introduces the concept of modern algebra. In studying, the students are required to have the ability to think logically and reason systematically because the course algebraic structure is full of definitions and theorems. This study aimed to describe the ability of students’ mathematical reasoning in solving group problems. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research has been carried out in the Mathematics Education of Study Program at the STKIP Paris Barantai, March 2022. The results show that high-ability of students are declared capable of reasoning on all indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely analyze, generalize, synthesize and justify; students with moderate abilities are stated to be able to reason on the analyze and generalize indicators, while the students that low abilities are only able to reason on the analyze indicators. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jenis kesalahan mahasiswa yang sering ditemukan dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah matematika berdasarkan Prosedur Polya. Masalah matematika yang diujikan ialah materi kalkulus diferensial. Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian, yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Kristen Tentena. Analisis data yang dilakukan, yaitu pertama, memeriksa jawaban mahasiswa, kedua, mengidentifikasi jenis kesalahan mahasiswa pada setiap soal, dan ketiga, menghitung persentase kesalahan mahasiswa. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase kesalahan mahasiswa berdasarkan Prosedur Polya, yaitu 1) Kesalahan memahami masalah 58,34%; 2) Kesalahan menyusun rencana 50,00%; 3) Kesalahan melaksanakan rencana 58,34%; dan 4) Kesalahan memeriksa kembali proses dan hasil 83,33%.

Abstract

The researcher interesting to analyze the error mistake in narrative text. The researcher will be using error analysis, because it is the process of determining the incidence, nature, causes and consequences of unsuccessful language. Error analysis is very important because the researcher would to the types of errors done by students on using past tense in narrative text. This qualitative research seeks to understand a scientific phenomenon related to    the interaction of human behavior in certain situations according to the views and  ways of thinking of the researchers themselves. Based on research result could be concluded that there was many errors of using past tense in translating Indonesian narrative text that made by students of Semester V of  English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty  of Christian University of Tentena It means that past tense sentences need to teach and practice to the student. This research was expected all element could work together to minimize the occurrence of errors by the students in writing paragraphs especially using tenses.

Abstract

Bingka merupakan salah satu alat budaya yang digunakan dalam acara adat suku Pamona di Kabupaten Poso. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap aktivitas matematika pada pembuatan bingka dan konsep matematika pada bingka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan teknik analisis data Milles dan Huberman yaitu mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Jenis bingka yang digunakan pada acara adat suku Pamona adalah bingka lora dan bingka wando. Aktivitas matematika pada pembuatan bingka yaitu membilang, menghitung, mengukur dan merancang bangun. Konsep matematika yang terdapat pada bingka yaitu operasi bilangan dan geometri dua dimensi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on high school students' mathematical problem-solving abilities within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The subjects were two eleventh-grade classes at SMA Negeri 3 Maros, assigned as the experimental and control groups, selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was a written pre-test and post-test based on problem-solving indicators developed by George Polya. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity of variance testing (Levene’s Test), independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and gain score calculation using Hake’s normalized gain formula. The results indicated a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a greater improvement in problem-solving ability observed in the experimental group. The PBL model was proven effective in fostering active engagement, critical thinking, and students’ analytical skills in solving mathematical problems. This research recommends the implementation of the PBL model as a relevant and adaptive instructional strategy to strengthen the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in high school mathematics education

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation of the round table method can help students in writing at SMA Negeri 1 Pamona Timur. The design of this research used a quantitative approach pre-experiment method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Thus, the result can be known to be accurate, allowing one to compare the circumstances before treatment. The research results show that there is a significant difference in the score results of student tests in pre-test and post-test. So Ho rejected, and Ha accepted, meaning implementing the round table method XI MIA class impacted writing skills. This research concludes that Implementing the round table method can help students' writing skills at SMA Negeri 1 Pamona Timur. The test result that has been performed indicates that the mean value of the students increased after being treated in the round table methodthe mean value of students at pre-test 75,48 and post-test 84,57.

Abstract

Berada dalam suasana yang cepat berubah diabad 21 ini menuntut kemampuan adaptasi terhadap perubahan nasional maupun global. Keputusan menteri pendidikan, kebudayaan, riset dan teknologi nomor 210 tahun 2023 tentang Indikator Kinerja Utama Perguruan Tinggi nomor 7 tentang pembelajaran yang kolaboratif dan partisipatif, maka penelitian ini menerapkan metode pembelajaran pemecahan kasus (case method). Penelitian yang dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Anak Usia Dini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan case method dalam mengingkatkan kemampuan kolaboratif dan partisipatif mahasiswa. Setelah data penelitian diolah menggunakan uji statistik paired sample t-test dan N-Gain maka diperoleh hasil case method sangat efektif jika diimplementasikan pada mata kuliah Pengembangan Pembelajaran Matematika pada Anak Usia Dini. Case method melatih mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dan berpikir kritis untuk memecahkan masalah dan merumuskan solusi.

Abstract

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, research, and training. Psychology is a scientific discipline that examines human behavior and human mental processes and studies the influence of the mental state of organisms and the external environment of individuals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of psychology in learning at SMP Negeri 5 Pamona Puselemba. The role of the teacher or educator is very important in knowing the psychology of children. Teachers need to continuously try to understand those they will lead in the educational process; teachers need to study the basic characteristics of students. At SMPN 5 Pamona Puselemba, several psychological factors influence students' education, namely family factors, environmental conditions, intelligence, and interests and talents.
