Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of work motivation and religiosity on faculty performance, underscoring the central role of meaningful life as a mediator. A comprehensive quantitative analysis was conducted on data collected from 250 faculty members in varied academic environments from Java, Bali, and Sulawesi. The study reveals that both work motivation and religiosity have a significant impact on faculty performance. The meaning of life emerged as a partial mediator in this relationship. This indicates that the enhancement of faculty performance is also heavily contingent on how faculty members derive a sense of purpose and fulfillment from their professional roles and religious beliefs. This aspect is further mediated by the individual's ability to construct a meaningful life from their daily activities. These findings provide fresh insights into the complex interplay between personal values and professional outcomes, highlighting the necessity of fostering work environments that support the realization of meaningful experiences for each faculty member. The study significantly contributes to the existing literature by demonstrating the vital importance of meaningful life in understanding and improving faculty performance.

Abstract

Marriage is a sacred vocation that signifies a profound commitment between husband and wife, rooted in love and faith. Many couples, however, lack the emotional and mental readiness to navigate marital challenges. This study examines the impact of Pre-Marriage Catechesis (KPP) on the emotional and mental readiness of Catholic couples in the Holy Spirit Cathedral Parish, Denpasar. Using a pretest- posttest experimental design, data were collected from 89 participants (44 males, 45 females) in November 2024, utilizing the Sukoon Marriage Readiness Scale. Before KPP, participants were categorized as "Highly Ready for Marriage" (20%, 18 individuals), "Moderately Ready" (50%, 45 individuals), and "Not Ready" (30%, 26 individuals). After completing KPP, the "Highly Ready" group increased to 65% (58 individuals), "Moderately Ready" remained at 30% (27 individuals), and "Not Ready" decreased to 5% (4 individuals). Pearson correlation analysis showed a strong relationship between KPP and readiness (r = 0.842, p = 0.000). Gender had no significant effect (p > 0.05), indicating KPP's universal applicability. The study concludes that KPP significantly enhances couples' readiness for marriage, contributing 98.7% to their emotional and mental preparedness. Recommendations include adapting KPP modules to address modern couples’ needs and increase program efficacy.

Abstract

In the realm of educational advancement, teacher motivation is integral to the pedagogical efficacy and development of future leaders. At Sekolah Cendekia Harapan, where the commitment to an inspiring learning atmosphere is paramount, the impetus behind teacher motivation becomes a focal point for academic excellence. This study explores the intrinsic and extrinsic factors influencing teacher motivation, recognizing its pivotal role in enhancing the quality of instruction and student engagement. It builds on the findings of Sulfemi (2020) and Harahap (2018), which link motivational levels to educational resources and a sense of professional calling, respectively. By delving into how these elements interplay at Sekolah Cendekia Harapan, the research aims to shed light on strategies to bolster teacher motivation. The research use in depth interview method and then analyzed using NVivo. The result shows insights promise to shape policies that not only elevate teaching practices but also align with the evolving demands of exceptional education. Thus, this investigation is a cornerstone for sustainable educational improvement, with the potential to significantly uplift both pedagogical standards and student success within the dynamic landscape of modern education

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between religiosity, social support, and psychological well-being among university employees. Employing a quantitative approach, the research examines how these variables interact to influence the mental health of this demographic. The results, based on a sample of 345 university employees, indicate that while religiosity does not have a direct, significant impact on psychological well-being (p > 0.05), it indirectly affects well-being through resilience, which functions as a full mediator. This finding suggests the transformative role of resilience in channeling religious beliefs towards enhanced mental health. In contrast, social support shows a direct, albeit small, significant impact on psychological well-being. The study highlights the nuanced interplay between personal belief systems, social support, and psychological well being. It proposes that enhancing resilience and strengthening social support systems could be crucial for improving the psychological well being of university employees.

Abstract

Many people today experience both higher levels of health anxiety and difficulties with their emotional well-being due to an excessive reliance on the internet to gather health information. This study aims to investigate how excessive health-related internet research impacts anxiety and the need for constant reassurances in adults who use the internet. The goal of this study is to understand how engaging with health information online affects emotions and to determine if digital health literacy plays any role in these relationships. We evaluated associations between cyberchondria, anxiety, and compulsive reassurance-seeking by having 350 participants complete the CSS-15, GAD-7, and a digital health literacy questionnaire. It was found that people with higher levels of cyberchondria often experience more severe health anxiety (β = .56, p < .001) as well as the need for frequent reassurance from others. Those with less digital health literacy experience markedly increased anxiety following their use of internet health resources (p < .01). Having better skills and knowledge to interpret online health information helps to reduce the negative mental health outcomes linked to spending too much time searching for health details online. The results highlight the importance of promoting digital literacy and responsible online health information seeking among the public. Encouraging proper knowledge and counsel for cyberchondria reduces anxiety levels and the burden on healthcare services. This research reveals the influence the internet has over people’s online health-seeking behaviors as well as the associated impact on their psychological well-being.
