Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas dari penggunaan model blended learning elastisitas berbasis Microsoft Teams dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Kayu Agung tahun ajaran 2021/2022 semester ganjil. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 melalui teknik purposive sampling. Adapun jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran berdasaran perhitungan n-gain adalah 0,48 dengan kategori sedang. Uji paired sample t-test memperoleh hasil tingkat signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa antara pretest sebelum menggunakan model blended learning elastisitas berbasis Microsoft Teams dan post-test setelah menggunakan mengalami perbedaan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil beberapa uji dapat disimpulkan bahwa model blended learning pada materi elastisitas berbasis Microsoft Teams efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Model blended learning yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi salah satu acuan dalam pengembangan model yang sesuai dengan keterampilan abad 21 terutama dalam pembelajaran fisika SMA. This study describes the effectiveness of using the blended learning elasticity model based on Microsoft Teams in improving students' creative thinking skills. The population of this research is the students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Kayu Agung in the academic year 2021/2022 odd semester. The number of samples is 32 through the purposive sampling technique. This type of research is pre-experimental research using a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The instrument used in this study was a test of creative thinking skills. The results showed that the effectiveness of using the learning model based on the n-gain calculation was 0.48 in the medium category. Paired sample t-test results obtained a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. This shows a significant difference between the pretest before using the blended learning model of elasticity based on Microsoft Teams and the post-test after using it. Based on the results of several tests, it can be concluded that the blended learning model on elasticity material based on Microsoft Teams effectively develops creative thinking skills. The blended learning model that has been developed can be one of the references in developing models following 21st-century skills, especially in high school physics learning.

Abstract

Pemberian pendampingan Kompetisi Sains Nasional (KSN) diharapkan mampu memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kapabilitas guru MGMP Fisika kota Prabumulih untuk membuat persiapan, pelaksanaan dan pendampingan dalam Olimpiade Sains Nasional khususnya bidang fisika sehingga secara langsung dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik sehingga mampu dan terlatih dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang membutuhkan kemampuan critical thinking. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini yaitu melatih guru MGMP fisika kota Prabumulih untuk menyelesaikan soal KSN bidang fisika dan melatih guru MGMP fisika kota Prabumulih untuk membimbing peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal KSN. Model dan metode yang digunakan adalah model pendampingan berupa kegiatan pelatihan dengan metode presentasi, workshop, diskusi dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Oktober sampai 18 Oktober 2021 yang diikuti oleh 28 peserta yang terdiri dari guru fisika dan dosen pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kapabilitas Guru MGMP Fisika kota Prabumulih dalam membuat persiapan, pelaksanaan dan pendampingan dalam KSN khususnya bidang fisika di buktikan sebanyak lebih dari 70% guru telah mampu menyusun rencana pembinan Kompetisi Sains Nasional di sekolah masing-masing dan menyelesaikan soal-soal berstandar KSN bidang Fisika. Assistance activities for the National Science Competition are expected to have a significant impact on increasing the capability of the  Physics teachers in Prabumulih to prepare, implement, and assist in KSN, especially in the field of physics. This activity aims to train Prabumulih city physics MGMP teachers to solve KSN questions in the field of physics and to train Prabumulih city physics MGMP teachers to guide students in solving KSN questions. The model and method used is a mentoring model in training activities with the presentation, workshop, discussion, and mentoring methods. This activity was carried out from October 9 to October 18, 2021, attended by 28 participants consisting of physics teachers and physics education lecturers, FKIP Sriwijaya University. The activity results showed an increase in the capability of Physics Teachers in making preparations, implementation, and assistance in the KSN, especially in the physics field. It was proven that more than 70% of teachers had been able to develop plans for fostering the National Science Competition in their respective schools and solving problems. - Standard questions for the National Science Olympiad in Physics.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan oleh tim dosen pendidikan fisika dan pendidikan kimia FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya pada 23 Juli 2022 sampai 25 September 2022. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan pembuatan e-modul IPA sampai dengan validasinya bagi guru IPA yang tergabung pada MGMP IPA Kota Pagaralam. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat berupa pendampingan dengan metode pemberian materi dan diskusi, workshop, dan validasi e-modul. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan ini adalah tim guru IPA pada masing-masing SMP di Kota Pagaralam yang tergabung di MGMP IPA Kota Pagaralam berjumlah 39 orang. Temuan selama kegiatan berlangsung yaitu guru sudah memiliki pemahaman yang baik pentingnya pembuatan e-modul sendiri namun belum ada yang mencoba membuat sendiri, dan guru belum mengetahui fitur google sites sebagai salah satu alternatif pembuatan e-modul. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh bahwa guru-guru IPA yang tergabung di MGMP IPA kota Pagaralam dan mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat telah mampu membuat e-modul IPA menggunakan google sites yang valid dan sangat valid untuk masing-masing aspek materi, bahasa, dan desain. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru-guru IPA tersebut diharapkan kegiatan serupa dapat dilaksanakan secara berkala oleh MGMP IPA kota Pagaralam.Community service activities have been carried out by a team of lecturers for physics education and chemistry education at Sriwijaya University from July 23, 2022, to September 25, 2022. The purpose of the community service activities is to assist in creating science e-modules until their validation for science teachers who are members of the MGMP Science Pagaralam City. The form of community service activities is in the form of assistance with methods of providing materials and discussions, workshops, and e-module validation. The target audience for this activity is a team of science teachers in each junior high school in Pagaralam City who are members of the Pagaralam City Science MGMP. The findings during the training are that teachers already have a good understanding of the importance of making their e-modules. Still, no one has tried to make their own, and teachers do not yet know the features of google sites as an alternative to making e-modules. The results of the activity showed that science teachers who were members of the Pagaralam IPA MGMP and participated in community service activities had been able to create science e-modules using google sites that were correct in terms of material, easy to understand in terms of language, and had an attractive appearance in terms of design. To improve the skills of the science teachers, it is hoped that similar activities can be carried out periodically by the IPA MGMP of Pagaralam city. This activity was carried out to increase teachers' understanding of learning modules' importance and basic concepts. It was an active activity encouraging teachers to make their learning modules, especially e-modules.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan kurikulum pembelajaran pada abad 21, kebutuhan Guru, kebutuhan peserta didik dan kebutuhan pada kompetensi dasar materi Termodinamika dalam pengembangan desain pembelajaran berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Tri Dharma Palembang Tahun Pelajaran 2022-2023 sampel penelitian kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu lembar observasi, dokumentasi dan pedoman wawancara. Pedoman hasil pengamatan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan angket yang di analisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data analisis kebutuhan berdasarkan tuntutan kurikulum pembelajaran abad 21, kebutuhan guru, kebutuhan peserta didik dan kebutuhan kompetensi dasar dari materi Termodinamika yang di dapatkan dari dokumentasi pengumpulan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Teknik wawancana kepada guru dan peserta didik. Hasil pengamatan menemukan bahwa: (1) Tuntutan kurikulum pembelajaran abad 21 dengan keterampilan 4C yaitu kreativitas (creativity), berpikir kritis (critical thinking), komunikasi (communication), dan kolaborasi (collaboration) belum sepenuhnya diterapkan. (2) Guru masih kesulitan dalam mengembangkan desain pembelajaran berbasis project pada materi Termodinamika. (3) Peserta didik hanya mempelajari teori saja sehingga sulit mengembangkan kreativitas pada saat pembelajaran materi termodinamika. (4) Kebutuhan kompetensi dasar pada materi termodinamika yaitu membuat karya atau model dan menerapkan Hukum Termodinamika. Berdasarkan uraian permasalahan tersebut solusi yang diberikan perlunya dikembangkan desain pembelajaran termodinamika menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik.

Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the 21st-century skills that every individual should possess. These skills facilitate the individual in realizing the imagination, providing an opportunity to think and express ideas. So knowing the profile of creative thinking skills is considered very important. This study aims to analyze creative thinking skills in learning activities teaching physics subjects on the topic of temperature and heat. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with test methods. Class XI students of one of the public high schools in Central Bangka became the population in this study. The sample in this study was 64 students who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using Creative Thinking Skills Physics SMA (PhysCreTHOTS). The results showed students' creative thinking skills on temperature and heat material were at a percentage of 54.40% with sufficient categories. And there are no students who are in the category of very good and very less. Then students' creative thinking skills based on creative thinking indicators are all classified as sufficient with a percentage of 57.81% (fluency), 45.57% (flexibility), 56.25% (originality), and 58.59% (elaboration). The results of this discovery can be used as empirical evidence and references that in the implementation of physics learning students' creative thinking skills still need to be improved.

Abstract

 Climate change is a global challenge that threatens the world today. Efforts to deal with the problem of climate change are inseparable from the extent to which individuals understand the issue of climate change. The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of pre-service science teachers at Sriwijaya University on the issue of climate change. Data obtained through questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The subjects of this study were 24 final semester students consisting of Physics Education, Biology Education and Chemistry Education study programs. The results showed that 1) pre-service science teachers (students) still did not explore and understand the issue of climate change where 75% of the responses of pre-service teacher students thought it was important to find solutions and understandings to overcome climate change; 2) students assume that climate change is a simple problem, this is shown from student response data, namely 59% know that increasing greenhouse gases can cause climate change. In addition, the difficulties that students experience in reducing the impact of climate change stem from behaviors that are often carried out by students in daily life such as being difficult to save electrical energy, difficult to dispose of waste according to its type. Students' understanding of climate change issues is still lacking and there needs to be awareness within each of them in order to encourage them to take climate change mitigation actions

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah produk berupa Buku Elektronik Perubahan Iklim Berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Pengembangan buku elektronik ini dapat digunakan untuk sumber referensi dan bahan ajar di sekolah maupun di rumah yang dapat dijangkau oleh pendidik dan peserta didik menggunakan handphone android tanpa menggunakan data internet. Karena semua kalangan menghabiskan waktu sehari-hari tanpa lelah menggunakan handphone android. Penelitian ini menggunakan metedo penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) dengan model penelitian ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Kevalidan produk ini di nilai oleh ahli yang menilai 3 aspek yaitu, aspek media, materi, dan kebahasaan. Selanjutnya kepraktisan produk dilihat dari skor rata-rata angket pada tahap uji one to one dan uji small group. Untuk tahap akhir adalah evaluasi yang digunakan oleh peneliti dengan melakukan pretest and postest sebelum penerapan perlakuan produk dan setelah perlakuan produk sehingga memunculkan dampak potensial pada peserta didik dengan perhitungan uji N-Gain maka produk tersebut efektif. Dalam jurnal ini hanya membahas studi pendahuluan berupa data hasil analisis kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan buku elektronik perubahan iklim berbasis Berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Abstract

Development of a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-based climate change electronic book aided by the APK Builder Pro website to improve learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the product to improve learning outcomes. This research aims to produce an Electronic Book Using Website 2 APK Builder Pro based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Product development is based on students' needs for 21st century learning with the industrial technology revolution 4.0 which is identical to the utilization of technology, information, and communication. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model development design consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of validity of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-based climate change electronic book averaged 86.7% with very valid criteria, the percentage of product practicality averaged a one to one test of 86 2%, a small group test of 83%, and a response from a physics teacher of 91% with very practical criteria, and the N-gain test tested on 32 students obtained an average result of 0.8 with high percentage criteria with very effective criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the electronic book of climate change based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) assisted by the APK Builder Pro website is valid, practical and effective to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education has a major role in facing the challenges of the 21st-century through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The Merdeka Curriculum came as an idea to change the quality of education in Indonesia. However, the availability of learning resources is still very low, not yet phenomenon-based, multidisciplinary, and not oriented toward improving 21st-century skills. This has an impact on the low creative thinking skills of students. These skills are a necessity and can only be produced through phenomenon-based learning, studied in multidisciplinary ways, such as STEM learning. It is necessary to develop learning resources such as STEM-based e-learning. This study aims to develop STEM-based learning that is feasible and acceptable using the Alessi and Trolip development model. The research subjects were students of class X of SMAN 2 Palembang. The results showed that the alpha test of the product was suitable for use with an acceptable percentage of 100%. The beta test results of the product can be accepted by 100% of students. This study concludes that STEM-based renewable energy e-learning to improve the creative thinking skills of high school students has been feasible and acceptable to students. Furthermore, it can be used for the effectiveness test stage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of physics education teacher candidates in developing physics learning media in the form of teaching aids. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study was carried out at pre-service teacher in the 3rd semester who takes the physics learning media lectures at physics education department. The sample of the study was code A class and code B class totaling 61 people using the saturated sampling technique. The instrument used is an observation sheet by the course lecturer. The indicators for assessing the instructional tool project in this research are 1) conceptual accuracy; 2) ease of use; 3) media aesthetics; 4) the emergence of STEM aspects; 5) environmentally friendly (Go-green) and the utilization of recycled materials. The study result showed that for class A, students' ability to create STEM-based teaching aids has an average value of 79.8, and using used materials is 79.8. Class B tends to understand the concepts of better teaching aids with an average score of 78.9, and the media used is easy to use at 78.7. Through this research, it can be concluded that students' abilities to develop STEM-based learning media has good criteria. In the implementation of the research, the lecture model was used through project-based learning with a STEM approach. The results of this study will provide implications for further research to measure student creativity and communication skills in the development of teaching aids such as physics learning media.Keywords: Learning media, Pre-service student’s ability, STEMDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v11.n2.202305
