Abstract

Kata kunci: Banjir, Mitigasi Bencana, Analisis Kerentanan, Bangunan Ukur, GIS    ABSTRACT: Flooding is a frequent disaster in Indonesia, causing significant impacts on the environment, infrastructure, and socio-economic conditions of communities. This study aims to integrate flood vulnerability analysis with the design of adaptive measuring structures as village-scale mitigation infrastructure in Leyao Village, North Gorontalo. The method employs GIS-based spatial analysis using overlay, scoring, and weighting techniques on parameters including topography, rainfall, river proximity, land use, and settlement density, combined with a qualitative descriptive approach to formulate design criteria. The results indicate that the northern area has high to very high vulnerability, making it a priority for locating measuring structures with adaptive features such as elevated floors, reinforced concrete foundations, and waterproof walls. This integration enhances hydrological monitoring and early warning system effectiveness. The study concludes that such an integrated approach strengthens community-based flood mitigation. The implication is that this model can serve as a reference for developing sustainable, community-oriented mitigation infrastructure in other flood-prone areas. Abstract

The development of higher education infrastructure, especially auditorium buildings, is now required not only to be functional and modern but also to reflect local identity as a form of responsibility toward local culture and environment. Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Gorontalo (UNUGO), as an educational institution based on Islamic values and local culture, requires a representative academic support facility. This study aims to design an auditorium building for UNUGO using an architectural regionalism approach, integrating functional aspects with the unique cultural, climatic, and local architectural context. This approach accommodates local elements—such as form, materials, and cultural symbolism—into a modern architectural design. The proposed design is expected to strengthen the campus's identity, support academic activities, and enrich the treasury of contextual and sustainable local architecture. The design of the UNUGO auditorium represents: 1) an inclusive deliberative space; 2) sustainable yet adaptive cultural symbols; 3) a climate- and human-friendly architecture; 4) a spiritual and intellectual hub; and 5) a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. This building is expected to become a campus architectural icon that not only accommodates activities but also conveys the narrative of the identity, values, and local spirit of the Gorontalo community within the framework of Nusantara Islam. Thus, the UNUGO auditorium will be a manifestation of contextual, sustainable, and meaningful architecture.

Abstract

The abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances in Gorontalo Province has shown a significant upward trend, with Gorontalo ranking 8th nationally in drug use in 2016. Despite fluctuations in the number of medical rehabilitation patients between 2016 and 2023, the existing inpatient facilities at Tombulilato Regional General Hospital are no longer sufficient to handle the complexity of cases across various age groups and backgrounds. This research aims to analyze spatial patterns and facilities while formulating the application of the Behavioral Architecture approach in designing a Narcotics and Psychotropic Rehabilitation Center in Gorontalo City. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including field observations in Molosipat W, literature reviews, and comparative studies. The Behavioral Architecture approach is applied as a design solution to create a built environment that is responsive to the psychological conditions and behaviors of the users. The design focus encompasses recreative, educative, therapeutic, and conservation aspects to support holistic physical and mental recovery. The results of this study produce a regional-scale rehabilitation center design that integrates medical and social rehabilitation units with creativity development facilities. Through strategic spatial configuration, color selection, and a strong connection with nature, this design is expected to restore self-confidence and social functioning, enabling individuals to return to society independently.
