Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi salah satu pendekatan utama dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, namun masih banyak guru yang belum memahami penerapannya, terutama dalam pengembangan perangkat ajar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru MGMP Kimia Kabupaten Takalar dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis diferensiasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam satu hari secara partisipatif melalui pelatihan, praktik kelompok, dan refleksi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest-posttest, penilaian produk ajar, angket sikap, dan observasi keterlibatan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata posttest,, 80% produk ajar tergolong baik hingga sangat baik, dan terjadi perubahan sikap positif terhadap penerapan diferensiasi. Keterlibatan peserta juga sangat tinggi sepanjang kegiatan. Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik dan kontekstual efektif dalam membangun kompetensi profesional guru serta mendorong kolaborasi di tingkat MGMP.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Abad ke-21 ditandai dengan berbagai tantangan global yang kompleks, termasuk perubahan iklim, kelangkaan sumber daya, dan degradasi lingkungan. Menghadapi kenyataan ini, literasi sains bukan lagi sekadar pemahaman konsep sains murni, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk menerapkan pengetahuan sains dalam pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab dan berkelanjutan. Esai ini menyajikan tinjauan pustaka mendalam tentang peran literasi sains dalam mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan dan mengeksplorasi pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dalam konteks keberlanjutan. Kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan seperti Isu Sosial-Ilmiah (SSI), Scrum, Pembelajaran Berbasis Inquiri Sosial-Ilmiah (SSIBL), dan proyek presentasi video memiliki potensi signifikan untuk mendorong pemahaman ilmiah yang kontekstual, kritis, dan relevan dengan isu keberlanjutan. Analisis ini menggarisbawahi perlunya perubahan paradigma dalam pendidikan sains, dari penekanan pada menghafal fakta menjadi pengembangan keterampilan literasi ilmiah dan partisipasi aktif dalam solusi berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT The 21st century is characterized by complex global challenges, including climate change, resource scarcity, and environmental degradation. Facing these realities, scientific literacy is no longer just an understanding of pure scientific concepts, but also the ability to apply scientific knowledge in responsible and sustainable decision-making. This essay presents an in-depth literature review of the role of scientific literacy in supporting sustainable development and explores innovative learning approaches that can enhance scientific literacy in the context of sustainability. The literature review suggests that approaches such as Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI), Scrum, Socio-Scientific Inquiry-Based Learning (SSIBL), and video presentation projects have significant potential to foster contextual, critical, and relevant scientific understanding of sustainability issues. This analysis underscores the need for a paradigm shift in science education, from an emphasis on memorizing facts to developing scientific literacy skills and active participation in sustainable solutions. Abstract

Program penyuluhan dan pendampingan pengolahan hasil perkebunan kelapa menjadi minyak kelapa murni (Virgin Coconut Oil/VCO) dilaksanakan di Desa Taccorong, Kecamatan Gantarang, Kabupaten Bulukumba. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan hasil perkebunan kelapa, sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan teori, demonstrasi praktek, dan pendampingan secara intensif dalam seluruh proses produksi VCO, mulai dari pemilihan kelapa, pengolahan, hingga pengemasan produk akhir. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta mengenai teknik pengolahan kelapa menjadi VCO. Selain itu, program ini berhasil menciptakan produk VCO berkualitas yang siap dipasarkan, membuka peluang usaha baru, dan memperkuat ekonomi lokal. Keberhasilan program ini diindikasikan dengan tingginya partisipasi dan antusiasme masyarakat serta keberlanjutan produksi VCO setelah pendampingan berakhir. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi pengembangan ekonomi berbasis sumber daya lokal di daerah lain.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effect of applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model on students' critical thinking abilities and learning activities in studying salt hydrolysis material. The research method used was a quasi-experiment using two groups: an experimental group that applied PBL and a control group that used conventional learning methods. The research sample consisted of class XI students at a high school in an urban area. Data was collected through critical thinking ability tests before and after treatment, as well as observations of students' learning activities during the learning process. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant increase in the critical thinking skills and learning activities of students who take part in learning using the PBL model compared to the control group. Students in the PBL group showed a higher level of involvement in group discussions, problem solving, and searching for additional information related to salt hydrolysis material. The implication of this research is that PBL can be an effective approach in improving the quality of chemistry learning at the high school level, especially in strengthening critical thinking skills and increasing students' learning activities. Pre-test scores revealed no significant differences between the control group and the treatment group in terms of critical thinking skills (p > 0.05). However, post-test scores demonstrated a substantial increase in critical thinking skills among students in the treatment group (M = 85.6, SD = 7.2) compared to those in the control group (M = 72.3, SD = 6.8), with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001). Therefore, it is recommended that PBL be applied more often in the context of chemistry learning to optimize student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is the lack of comprehensive understanding and mapping of the patterns and progress in ethnoscience research within the context of chemistry education in Indonesia. Investigating the patterns and advancements in ethnoscientific research in Indonesian chemistry education is the aim of this study. This study uses a bibliometric technique and is quantitative descriptive in nature. he stages include Selection of Topic and Research Objectives, Data Collection, Data Cleaning and Processing, Data Analysis, Data Visualisation, Interpretation and Discussion. Data collection was carried out by searching for journal articles indexed by Google Scholar through Publish or Perish (PoP) with the keyword ‘chemical ethnoscience’. Data from Publish or Perish (PoP) was filled in and completed in the author's keywords section manually using Mendeley desktop software then integrated into VOSviewer software for mapping. The results of the analysis of keyword mapping in Google Scholar indexed scientific articles from 2014-2024, it is known that in the last 10 years, there are 137 keywords that are interrelated. The top 7 keywords with the strongest links include: ethnoscience (40), chemical literacy (9), chemistry learning (6), chemistry (4), problem based learning (4), local wisdom (3), STEM (3). Recent keywords in chemistry education that are still rarely discussed in scientific articles are podcast-based ethnoscience, common knowledge construction, chemical bonding, CKCM learning model, Flipped Classroom, knowledge, references, implementation, culture, character values, ethnoscience-based chemistry, need analysis, independent curriculum, 4-D development.

Abstract

The main issues in this research are how to integrate local wisdom into chemistry learning, its impact on students' understanding and skills, the challenges faced in its implementation, and the potential of local wisdom as a resource to improve the quality of chemistry education. The purpose of this study is to analyse the implementation of ethnoscience in chemistry learning at school. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach to examine local wisdom in learning chemistry through an ethnoscience approach. The steps taken in this research are determining the topic and problem formulation, data collection, literature analysis, synthesis of findings and preparation of conclusions. The results showed that the integration of local wisdom into chemistry learning has shown a positive impact on students' skills and understanding. Several studies have highlighted the importance of incorporating local wisdom as it has the potential to increase students' interest and motivation in learning chemistry. Students become more engaged and active in the learning process when they see the relevance of chemistry materials to their daily lives. The implementation of ethnoscience in chemistry learning in schools has many potential benefits, but still faces various challenges. Teachers face various challenges in implementing ethnoscience, including lack of resources and supportive teaching materials, lack of training and support from the school, as well as difficulties in adapting the existing curriculum to the ethnoscience approach.

Abstract

Natural resource management in Paccellekang Village, which includes rice paddies, plantations, and teak trees, remains suboptimal despite its significant potential, particularly the abundant wood waste. This wood waste largely originates from agricultural activities, plantations, and small-scale wood processing. Currently, this waste is often simply burned or dumped, potentially polluting the environment and causing air pollution. However, if managed properly, wood waste can be transformed into high-value products that can provide financial benefits to the community. This community service activity aims to empower farmer groups through training in processing wood waste into marketable products such as charcoal, liquid smoke, and wood flour. These products not only have economic value but are also useful in various sectors, for example, liquid smoke as a natural preservative, charcoal as an environmentally friendly fuel, and wood flour as an industrial raw material. The program implementation method uses a structured approach that includes initial observations to identify potential partners and needs, outreach to provide a comprehensive understanding of the program's objectives, and training in wood waste processing technology. Furthermore, intensive mentoring and evaluation of implementation results are provided to ensure program sustainability. The results demonstrated that the farmer group members understood the concept of productive wood waste management and demonstrated high enthusiasm for developing innovative products. This program successfully improved the community's skills in utilizing local resources while reducing the negative impact of waste on the environment. Thus, this activity contributed to increasing community income and supporting sustainable economic development in Paccellekang Village.

Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of the SSI approach in the context of controversial environmental issues on chemistry students' HOTS abilities. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a post-test-only control group design. The research subjects were 26 students in class A of the chemistry education study program as the control class and 21 students in the ICP class of the chemistry education study program as the experimental class. The instruments used are observation sheets and test questions that measure students' HOTS abilities. The results of this study show that the average post-test score of the experimental class using the SSI approach was 80.15, while the average score of the control class was 60.5. The t-test shows that this difference is statistically significant with a p-value of 1.122 x 10-5, well below the 0.05 significance level. Because the p-value obtained is much smaller than 0.05, we can reject the null hypothesis (H0), which states that there is no significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate that the SSI approach in the context of controversial environmental issues has a positive influence on chemistry students' HOTS abilities in electrochemical concepts.

Abstract

Life-Based Learning menekankan integrasi pengetahuan dengan pengalaman sehari-hari, mendorong pembelajaran yang kontekstual, holistik, dan berkelanjutan. Banyak studi relevan yang berfokus pada aspek praktis dari penerapan LBL, sementara sedikit yang mengkaji secara sistematis bagaimana strategi-strategi ini dapat diadopsi secara luas dalam konteks pendidikan yang lebih luas. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali dan menganalisis literatur yang ada tentang strategi Life-Based Learning dalam konteks pendidikan, serta untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai pendekatan yang telah diterapkan dalam berbagai penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur untuk menganalisis strategi Life-Based Learning (LBL) dalam pendidikan. Data yang diperoleh dari literatur tersebut akan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi Life-Based Learning (LBL) telah diterapkan secara luas dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan, dengan pendekatan yang bervariasi tergantung pada kebutuhan dan tujuan pendidikan masing-masing. Penelitian yang dikaji menunjukkan bahwa LBL tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran akademik, tetapi juga dalam pengembangan keterampilan praktis dan karakter siswa. Berbagai metode, seperti eksperimen, survei, literatur review, dan penelitian pengembangan, telah digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan LBL, masing-masing memberikan wawasan yang berharga mengenai bagaimana pengalaman hidup dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana integrasi teknologi analitik, khususnya Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Learning Management System (LMS), dapat mendorong refleksi kritis mahasiswa dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi. Menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur sistematis, artikel ini menganalisis 14 sumber ilmiah yang relevan untuk mengidentifikasi peran, potensi, serta tantangan integrasi teknologi tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran reflektif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa AI Feedback berkontribusi signifikan dalam memberikan umpan balik otomatis yang mendalam dan adaptif, yang mampu merangsang kesadaran reflektif mahasiswa. Sementara itu, LMS menyediakan fitur pelaporan data dan pelacakan aktivitas belajar yang memungkinkan mahasiswa mengevaluasi kinerjanya secara berbasis data. Meskipun demikian, efektivitas integrasi teknologi ini sangat tergantung pada desain pedagogis, literasi digital, serta bimbingan reflektif dari dosen. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran reflektif berbasis teknologi dan menyoroti pentingnya strategi implementasi yang memperhatikan aspek pedagogis dan etis. Diharapkan hasil kajian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi penelitian empiris lanjutan dan pengembangan kebijakan pembelajaran digital yang lebih reflektif dan transformatif
