Abstract

The teacher certification program has been implemented since 2007, yet the society has not optimally experienced the quality improvement of secondary education in Industry 4.0. This study aims to examine vocational and senior high school teacher professionalism in the age of Industry 4.0 in developing learning. This study employed the survey method with quantitative descriptive analysis. The sample of this study was taken from two provinces in Indonesia, namely Yogyakarta Special Region and West Borneo. The data were collected from 113 vocational and senior high school teachers using random purposive sampling. The instruments used in this research were open-ended and close-ended questionnaires. The results of this study show that there is still a low number of teachers with a Master’s degree; however, teachers participate in various capacity building training programs. Moreover, the most common training programs for the teachers are on classroom action research, scientific journal publications, curriculum development, and updating teaching materials. Furthermore, it is found that the number of journal articles published by vocational and senior high school teachers in the two provinces is still low, and as a result, bottleneck problems may occur in their career promotion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk multimedia pembelajaran teori musik untuk kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Kasihan Bantul yang berisikan tentang bentuk, nilai nada, dan sukat; (2) mengetahui kelayakan produk multimedia yang dihasilkan, (3) mengungkapkan keefektifan produk multimedia yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang diadaptasi dari model Alessi Trollip, yang mencakup tahapan kegiatan sebagai berikut: perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan. Hasil  penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut (1) produk yang dihasikan adalah multimedia interaktif yang terdiri dari kompetensi, materi, rangkuman, dan evaluasi. (2) Berdasar validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan uji beta, produk multimedia pembelajaran teori musik yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran. Kelayakan dapat diperoleh berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli materi dengan nilai 4,03 (Baik), ahli media dengan nilai 4,32 (Sangat Baik) dan uji beta dengan nilai 4,25 (Sangat Baik). (3) Berdasarkan hasil analisis skor rata-rata n-gain  dari pretest dan posttest sebesar 0,68 dengan kriteria sedang, maka disimpulkan produk multimedia pembelajaran teori musik kelas X ini efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang materi bentuk, nilai nada, dan sukat.Kata kunci: multimedia pembelajaran teori musik DEVELOPING TEACHING MULTIMEDIA OF MUSIC THEORY SUBJECT FOR CLASS X OF SMK NEGERI 2 KASIHAN BANTUL.AbstractThis research aimed: (1)  to develop music theory teaching multimedia for class X of SMK Negeri 2 Kasihan Bantul, containing the form, value and time signature;  (2)  to reveal the feasibility of the developed teaching multimedia; (3) to reveal the  effectiveness of the developed teaching multimedia. This research was research and development  adapted from  Alessi Trollip  models that covered three-phase activities: planning, design, and  development. The result was as follows. (1) the product resulted was interactive multimedia that consist of competencies, materials, summary and evaluation. (2) The developed music theory teaching multimedia was advisable to use for teaching according to subject matter experts, media experts, and Beta test. The advisability could be obtained based on the subject matter experts’ appraisal score of  4.03 (good), media experts’ score of 4.32 (very good) and Beta test score of  4.25 (very good score). (3) Based on the analysis result of the  N-Gain mean score from the pretest and posttest 0,68 which fell,   in the average criteria, It was  concluded that the developed music theory  teaching multimedia off class X is  effective to elevate students’ comprehension on the  material of form note value, and time signature.Keywords: music theory teaching multimedia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah website sebagai sarana computer-mediated communication (CMC) yang dapat membantu pembelajaran jaringan komputer yang layak, dinilai dari aspek pembelajaran, aspek isi/materi, aspek tampilan dan aspek pemrograman. Penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu planning, design, development dan implementation. Penelitian dilakukan di Jurusan Teknologi Pendidikan, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, UNY. Hasil penelitian ini adalah website interaktif sebagai computer-mediated communication yang kelayakan pada aspek pembelajaran produk ini termasuk dalam kategori baik berdasarkan skor dari ahli materi satu yaitu 4,16 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik berdasarkan skor dari ahli materi dua sejumlah 4,33, kelayakan aspek isi/materi termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik berdasarkan kedua skor ahli materi, dengan masing-masing ahli memberikan skor nilai 4,72 dan 4,45 kelayakan aspek media termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik berdasarkan nilai skor yang diberikan masing-masing ahli, yaitu 4,55 dari ahli media satu, dan 4,6 dari ahli media dua.Kata kunci: website, interaktif, computer-mediated communication, CMCDEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE WEBSITE AS COMPUTER-MEDIATED COMMUNICATION MEDIA FOR COMPUTER NETWORKS INSTRUCTIONAbstractThe research aimed at developing an appropriate interactive website which serves as computer-mediated communication (CMC), that supports the learning process of Computer Network, evaluated on the bases of learning, content, layout and programming. This research and development was carried out through a set of procedures involving planning, design, development and implementation. This research was conducted in Educational Technology Department, Faculty of Educational Science, YSU. The research findings showed that the interactive website providing computer-mediated communication has been considered appropriate for use. In term of learning aspect, this website was scored 4.16 or ‘good’ by the first content expert and 4.33 or very good by the second content expert. Meanwhile, its material aspect was scored 4.72 by the first content expert and 4.45 by the second. Both mean scores are categorized as very good. Its media appropriateness was considered very good by both media experts, each of whom scored 4.55 and 4.6 respectively.Keywords: website, interactive, computer-mediated communication, CMC

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika pada materi Bilangan Bulat kelas IV SD yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan kelayakan produk multimedia pembelajaran matematika di SD kelas IV pada materi Bilangan Bulat ditinjau dari aspek materi dan aspek media, dan (3) mengetahui keefektifan multimedia pembelajaran matematika kelas IV SD pada materi Bilangan Bulat ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa instrumen penilaian produk oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa serta instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) pengembangan multimedia ini dilaksanakan sesuai prosedur pengembangan multimedia yaitu perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan (2) kelayakan produk pada aspek materi/isi diperoleh skor sebesar 55 (kategori baik sekali), aspek pembelajaran sebesar 57 (kategori baik sekali), aspek pemrograman sebesar 51 (kategori baik), dan aspek tampilan sebesar 52 (kategori baik). Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa skor thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (4,034 2,01), dan hasil uji n-gain menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (0,57 0,42), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran menggunakan media powerpoint dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh media video terhadap keterampilan menulis kembali isi cerita siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia; (2) pengaruh media gambar terhadap keterampilan menulis kembali isi cerita siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia; dan (3) perbedaan pengaruh media video dan gambar terhadap keterampilan menulis kembali isi cerita kelas V SD pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen, sedangkan desainnya randomized control-group pretestt-posttestt. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Se-gugus V Kasihan-Bantul, pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pelaksanan tes unjuk kerja. Instrumen penilaian menulis diukur dengan uji validitas isi dan uji reliabilitas inter-rater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) media video berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis dengan taraf signifikan 0,000 0,05; (b) media gambar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis dengan taraf signifikan 0,022 0,05; dan (c) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh media video dan gambar yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis dengan taraf signifikan 0,043 0,05.Kata Kunci: media video, media gambar, keterampilan menulis kembali isi cerita The effectiveness of implementing video and picture media ofwriting skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School Abstract The purpose of this study are to find out (1) the effect of video on writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School in Indonesian learning, (2) the of picture series on writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School in Indonesian learning, (3) the differences of  video and picture series on writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School in Indonesian learning. This study used quasi experimental, and the design used randomized control-group pretestt-posttestt. The participants of this study were the whole students of the fifth grade of 5 Clusters Kasihan-Bantul Sub-District. The research variables consisted of independent variable and dependent variable. The data collection technique was conducted by test performance. Writing assessment instruments measured by content validity and inter-rater reliability tests. The results showed that (1) video media gives a positive and significant on writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School with sig 0,000 0,05 (2) picture media gives a positive and significanton writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School with sig 0,022 0,05 (3) There is significan different effect between video and picture series on on writing skills in fifth grade students of Elementary School with sig 0,043 0,05.Keywords: videos, picture series, writing skills to rewrite a story

Abstract

This study aims at improving learning activities and learning outcomes of cognitive aspects among X grade students of Metal Fabrication Engineering and Manufacturing, Vocational High School (VHS) using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. This study used classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, i.e. planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study involved one collaborator to assist researchers in implementing PBL and to monitor the learning process. The data collection technique used observation method with checklist and rating scale instrument. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the PBL implementation method in ignition system learning improve the students’ learning activities with the percentage of 11.20%, the learning activities, in which 29 students were in very high category and 3 students with high category. Also, the learning outcomes of cognitive aspects getting higher to 5.32% consisting of remembering (86.87%), understanding (77.68%), applying (78.77%), analyzing (79.61%), evaluation (77.97%), and creating (79.16%) respectively. Moreover, the students’ learning outcomes raised of which 29 students (91.31%) achieved above the minimum completeness criteria. It means that the PBL model can be used by vocational high teachers as alternative learning process to improve their outcomes of the cognitive aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to develop multimedia learning digital photo composition subjects and determine the feasibility of the product is based on an expert assessment of materials and multimedia experts and to find out the effect of the use of multimedia learning for interest and learning outcomes students.This research is a development that adapts the ADDIE development model which comprises the step of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Collecting data using questionnaire instrument learning interest and achievement test learners. The results showed that the eligibility rate products based on expert assessment of the material obtained a mean score of 3,75 (very decent) and multimedia experts obtained a mean score of 3,73 (very decent). The interest of learners who use multimedia learning digital photo composition subjects is higher than the interest of learners who use conventional multimedia learning with a significance value of 0,020. Then the learning outcomes of students who use multimedia learning digital photo composition subjects is higher than the learning outcomes who use conventional multimedia learning with a significance value of 0,000.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menghasilkan materi video yang layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi siswa SMK Jurusan Tata Boga secara umum, dan secara khusus untuk SMK Ma’Arif 2 Sleman. Materi video lebih menekankan pada pengenalan bumbu dan rempah kontinental (continental spice) pada mata pelajaran Pengolahan Makanan Kontinental; (2) mendokumentasikan beberapa bumbu dan rempah kontinental (continental spice) secara detail, meliputi: bentuk, sifat, karakter dan kegunaan bahan tersebut; (3) mengetahui manfaat penggunaan media video pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini merujuk 3 langkah yang dikembangkan antara lain: (a) praproduksi; (b) produksi; dan (c) pascaproduksi. Uji coba program video dilakukan 2 tahap yaitu skala kecil dan besar. Produk video yang telah direvisi digunakanuntuk pembelajaran PMK. Subjek tes sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan media video untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Teknik analisis menggunakan deskriptif. Validasi ahli materi dan ahli media hasilnya layak digunakan. Penilaian siswa tentang media video pembelajaran bumbu dan rempah kontinental rata-rata siswa memberi tanggapan “sangat layak” serta terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sesudah menggunakan program video pembelajaran.Kata kunci: video pembelajaran, bumbu dan rempah kontinental, hasil belajar DEVELOPING A VIDEO FOR THE LEARNING OF INGREDIENTS AND SPICES IN THE SUBJECT OF CONTINENTAL CUISINE PROCESSINGAbstractThis study aims to: (1) produce video materials appropriate to be used as learning media for students of Gastronomy in the vocational high school in general and in SMK Ma’arif 2 Sleman in particular; the video materials emphasize the introduction to continental ingredients and spices in the subject of Continental Cuisine Processing; (2) document several continental ingredients and spices in detail including their forms, nature, characters, and uses; and (3) investigate the benefits of the use of the learning video to improve students’ learning achievement. This was a research and development pouting 3 to the steps developed i.e.: (a) preproduction, (b) production, and (c) post-production. Video program testing is done in 2 to the steps; large small scale. Revised video products are used for PMK learning. Tes subjects before and after learning using video media to the know the improvement of learning outcomes. The data were collected by interview technique, observation, and questioner. The analysis techniques were use descriptive. The results of the validation by the materials and media experts of the results is feasible to be used. The students’ assessment of the video for the learning of continental ingredients and spices show very appropriate responses on the average and there is an increase on the learning outcome after using the learning video program.Keywords: learning video, continental ingredients and spices, learning achievement

Abstract

In the Electric Motor Installation material there are limitations in the form of requiring the physical form of components to introduce components directly. The development of learning media developed is Electric Motor Installation Learning Media for augmented reality-based learning to overcome limitations and provide alternative learning resources that so far teachers have used conventional learning media. The developed learning media includes 3-dimensional electric motor installation components displayed with augmented reality technology. The method in this study is research and development with the ADDIE model. Preliminary studies were conducted by analyzing the needs of basic competencies using questionnaires and interviews. Testing the effectiveness of learning media and knowing learning outcomes is carried out using the post-test and pre-test methods which produce valid values for 30 items above the value of 0.30 and reliable above 0.6. The results of the effectiveness test obtained a percentage of 56-75 percent so that this learning media was declared effective. Student responses to the feasibility of learning media showed that 20 students stated that it was very feasible and 10 students stated that it was feasible so that they concluded that learning media was feasible for use in learning Electric Motor Installation.
