Abstract

This article attempts to explore ambidextrous leadership and its effects on business agility and firm performance. Is it relevant to tend to explorative, exploitative, or balanced in leading a company in crisis conditions? How does ambidextrous leadership impact on business agility in supply chain, operations, and marketing function? This article is based on a cross-sectional study which collecting perceptual responses from 113 senior management from 34 public listed companies on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data was collected by online-questionnaire with convenience approach. The data was then analyzed with SmartPLS version 3.3.9. The results reveal to be explorative rather than exploitative for being more agile in doing business. Supply chain agility is the most influential function for being agile in business rather than operational or marketing agility in generating firm performance.

Abstract

COVID-19 membawa dunia pada krisis multi-dimensional yang berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan fisik, mental, dan finansial. Kondisi demikian ini sangat membutuhkan resiliensi keluarga. Untuk meningkatkan resiliensi keluarga, KEMENPORA mengambil inisiatif menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Kepemimpinan Pemuda dalam Rumah Tangga (PKPRT). Artikel ini berupaya menguji efektivitas dari PKPRT dengan menganalisis dampak dari kelima materi pelatihan tersebut terhadap resiliensi keluarga.  Data yang diperoleh dari 296 alumni PKPRT dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS SEM). Hasil analisis menjelaskan bahwa PKPRT cukup efektif. Tiga materi pelatihan berdampak langsung, satu materi berdampak tidak langsung, dan hanya satu subyek yang tidak berdampak terhadap resiliensi keluarga. Perbaikan dan penyesuaian dapat dilakukan berbasis hasil ini untuk program pelatihan yang lebih efektif dalam membantu keluarga dan melindung anak-anak semasa krisis.Kata kunci: resiliensi keluarga; pengembangan kepemimpinan pemuda; kualitas pengasuhan

Abstract

This study aims to determine: the effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, the influence of Digital Communication on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, the influence of Perceived Organizational Support and Digital Communication on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. This research was conducted on employees of PT. Tiga Saudara Priantama. This study uses multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis with a sample of employees. Samples were taken as many as 400 respondents. The results show that there is a partial effect of Perceived Organizational support (X1) on employees' Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) (Y), there is a partial influence and digital communication (X2) on employees' Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) (Y). Perceived Organizational support (X1) and digital communication (X2) simultaneously on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) (Y) of employees. This research is limited to Perceived Organizational Support (POS), Digital Communication and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) variables at PT. Tiga Saudara Priantama during the pandemic which forced employees to work with additional protocols in working in accordance with government recommendations. This study shows how employers can use this research in consideration of improving Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) by implementing Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and improving their employees' Digital Communication.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh teknologi informasi dan pelatihan sumber daya manusia terhadapa produktivitas pekerja para pegawai di perusahaan catering dan boga. Survey berbasis kuesioner daring yang melibatkan 256 pegawai dari perusahaan catering dan boga di Tanggerang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa teknologi informasi dan pelatihan sumber daya manusia berpengaruh postif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai. Disamping itu, pelatihan sumber daya manusia juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi digital pada pegawai di perusahaan catering dan boga di Tanggerang.

Abstract

Para pendidik merupakan aktor yang berpengaruh dalam suatu masyarakat, karena itu daya tahan atau resiliensi para pendidik semasa musibah COVID-19 adalah penting. Artikel ini berupaya untuk membahas mengenai resiliensi personal dari para guru dan dosen serta menguji secara empirik pengaruh dari kesehatan fisik, mental, dan finansial terhadap resiliensi personal tersebut. Sebanyak 538 orang pendidik yang berpartisipasi sebagai responden. Mereka terdiri dari para guru (51%) dan dosen (49%). Sebagian besar adalah perempuan (59%), berusia kurang dari 46 tahun (93%), berlatar pendidikan S1 dan S2 (68%), memiliki pengalaman kerja lebih dari lima tahun (87%), dan berdomisili di pulau Jawa (87%). Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan PLS SEM dan aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil analisis menjelaskan bahwa kesehatan mental memainkan peranan mediator dalam hubungan antara kesehatan finansial dan personal resiliensi. Para pendidik di Sumatra mengalami bahwa finansial tidak berpengaruh terhadap personal resiliensi dan kesehatan fisik. Untuk meningkatkan resiliensi masyarakat terhadap krisis COVID-19, dapat diawali dengan inisiatif untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental para pendidik.

Abstract

Perubahan yang terus menerus dan disruptif menuntut orang-orang dalam organisasi untuk menjadi adaptif dengan cepat. Ketangkasan belajar (learning agility) merupakan isu strategis dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia. Artikel ini mengulas secara mendalam mengenai pengaruh budaya belajar (learning culture) terhadap ketangkasan belajar. Apakah budaya belajar berdampak langsung ataukah tidak langsung terhadap ketangkasan belajar? Artikel ini berdasarkan pada riset empiris yang melibatkan 107 direktur dan manajemen senior dari perusahaan-perusahaan terkemuka di Indonesia. Data yang didapatkan diolah menggunakan pendekatan Structural Equation Modelling berbasis Partial Least Square (PLS SEM) dan aplikasi SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil analisis menjelaskan bahwa budaya perusahaan berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap ketangkasan belajar. Budaya belajar merupakan anteseden dari keterlekatan kerja (work engagement) dan keterlekatan kerja tersebut merupakan prediktor dari ketangkasan belajar. Dengan demikian, keterlekatan kerja memainkan peranan sebagai mediator dalam pengaruh budaya belajar terhadap ketangkasan belajar. Untuk menghasilkan orang-orang yang tangkas dalam belajar menghadapi perubahan, orang-orang di dalam perusahaan harus diarahkan untuk memiliki keterlekatan kerja yang baik dan diekspos dengan budaya belajar secara intensif dalam kurun waktu tertentu.

Abstract

The main challenge of family business is about sustainability. Sustaining the success of business across the next generations is a critical issue. By using a case study from an Indonesia family business, this study aims (1) to measure the level of leadership capability of the existing management team, (2) to identify the relevant values to develop so that redefined visions and missions, (3) to define developmental program of the value based leadership for the existing management team. This study used mixed research method using an appreciative inquiry for the qualitative and descriptive statistics for the quantitative approach. The conclusions of this study are: (1) the company need to increase the leadership capacity for the existing management team, (2) there are seven relevant values for enabling the new vision and mission: ownership, responsibility, integrity, creativity, learning, quality and consistence, (3) The management team are expected to play leadership role as a protector, promoter and role model for actuating those seven values, especially on values such as consistence, creativity, learning and quality.

Abstract

The inequality of digital skills is an organizational challenge experienced by public and private organizations to ensure work productivity in work-from-home arrangements during Covid-19. This article aims to elaborate on digital skill development and examine the effects of digital leadership and digital collaboration on digital skill development. This article is based on a cross-sectional study involved 824 office workers from 32 provinces in Indonesia. The combined convenience and snowballing approach were used as the sampling methods. The collected data were structured in the first-order constructs by PLS Structural Equation Modeling. The results revealed that digital skills are significantly influenced directly by digital collaboration and indirectly by digital leadership. For accelerating digital skill development, the superior of office workers should facilitate their team members to collaborate intensively by using digital technology. Further study is recommended to examine the effects of other factors such as work motivation, family support, and availability of digital facility at home, performance management, and perceived organizational support.

Abstract

One of the family business challenges is how to sustain the business success from generation to generation. PT Sandimas Intimitra made a strategic decision to develop values-based leadership when the founder decided to retire and the second generation took over the leadership roles of business. This paper based on three research questions: (1) at what level is the leadership capacity of the current managers, (2) what kinds of values are relevant to be cultivated for the whole organization (3) what are the initiative programs to be developed for cultivating the values role for the whole organization?. This study used a mixed method approach, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. A qualitative approach was used to answer the question what kind of values are relevant to be cultivated?. The qualitative approach used the 5D cycles of appreciative inquiry. While the quantitative approach used descriptive statistics to answer: at what level is the leadership capacity of the current management board and what are the initiative programs to be developed for cultivating the values role for the whole organization The conclusion of this research are: (1) PT Sandimas Intimitra need to increase the leadership capacity of the current managers, (2) there are seven values that are relevant to the new vision and mission to be cultivated, namely: integrity, responsibility, sense of belonging, learning, creative, consistent and quality, (3) the management of PT Sandimas Intimitra prosecuted for more serious role as a role model, promoter, and protector of the seven values especially creative, quality and consistent values.

Abstract

This study was conducted at a manufacturing and infrastructure company in Jakarta. The variables studied were Self Management, Authoritative Leadership Style, Digital Workplace, and Learning Agility. Data collection was carried out from November 2021 to December 2021 with the data collection method using a questionnaire. The research method in this research is quantitative. This study aims to determine the effect of self-management, authoritative leadership style, and digital workplace on learning agility. From this research, it can be concluded that the level of self-management, authoritative leadership style, and digital workplace affect the level of learning agility in the company. Perubahan lingkungan bisnis yang dinamis membutuhkan ketangkasan perusahaan untuk beradaptasi. Karena itu learning agility merupakan hal stratejik yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap pegawai. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi mengenai learnning agility dan menguji faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadapnya. Studi empiris dilakukan pada pegawai dari industri manufaktur dan infrastruktur di Jakarta untuk memperkuat pembahasan. Studi tersebut berhasil melibatkan 2021 sampai dengan Desember 2021 dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self management, authoritative leadership style, dan digital workplace terhadap learning agility. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat self management, authoritative leadership style, dan digital workplace berpengaruh terhadap tingkat learning agility di perusahaan.
