Abstract

Self-regulated learning is the skill of organizing and directing oneself in the process of learning. Every student should possess self-regulated learning skills in order to achieve high academic performance. Various factors influence a student's self-regulated learning during their educational journey. According to social cognitive theory, these factors are the result of the reciprocal interaction between individual characteristics, behavior, and the environment. This research primarily focuses on environmental factors, namely parental support and peer support. Both parental support and peer support play a role in shaping self-regulated learning. The research aims to empirically examine the contribution of parental support and peer support to self-regulated learning. The research employs a quantitative methodology and takes the form of an ex post facto study. The study population consists of 385 students in the 11 grade from SLTA A and B in Yogyakarta. A random sample of 77 students was chosen independently. Data were collected using instruments, including a self-regulated learning scale, a parental support scale, and a peer support scale. The empirical results of the study reveal that both parental support and peer support significantly contribute to self-regulated learning, with an F value of 36.703 and p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). When examined separately, parental support significantly and positively contributes to self-regulated learning, with a t-value of 2.032 and a p-value of 0.046 (p<0.05). Peer support also significantly and positively contributes to self-regulated learning, with a t-value of 8.325 and a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). Partially, parental support contributed 2.79% and friend support contributed 47.01% to self-regulated learning, and the rest was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Background: Konselor sekolah berperan penting untuk mendampingi perkembangan siswa secara utuh. Maka konselor sekolah seharusnya menguasai layanan bimbingan yang memandang keutuhan manusia. Bimbingan profetik memandang manusia secara utuh dalam dimensi ketuhanan, sesama manusia dan alam. Permasalahan ditempat pengabdian diantaranya: (1) Semua Guru BK belum memahami layanan BK Profetik; (2) Sebagian besar Guru BK belum terampil menggunakan pendekatan BK Profetik; dan (3) Semua Guru BK belum terampil menggunakan metode sokratik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru BK dalam mengimplementasikan BK profetik. Metode: Mitra pada kegiatan PkM ini yakni Guru BK di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul yang berjumlah 6 orang. Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan PkM melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan selama empat kali dalam dua semester. Pertemuan pertama terfokus pada landasan filosofis BK Profetik dan hakikat manusia dalam perspektif bimbingan profetik, Kedua terfokus melatih keterampilan layanan BK profetik berbasis metode sokratik. Keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian diukur menggunakan angket evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil: (1) 93,8% peserta mendapatkan pemahaman tentang BK profetik dan hakikat manusia; (2) 90% terampil menggunakan metode sokratik dalam layanan BK profetik. Kesimpulan: Pengabdian ini telah memberikan dampak positif berupa peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru BK SMK Musaba dalam layanan BK di Sekolah.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of experiential learning-based group guidance through games as a strategy to create fun and meaningful Guidance and Counseling (BK) services. Through a literature study of 20 relevant articles, it was found that traditional and educational games are able to build character, increase empathy, reduce aggressive behavior, and encourage students' self-acceptance. This approach is in line with Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy which emphasizes active, reflective, and contextual learning. The results of the study show that games are effectively used as a participatory and student-centered BK service medium.

Abstract

Based on the reality in the field, some students have difficulty making career plans that are in line with their stage of professional growth. This is the background of this research. Psychoeducation is the practice of providing psychological knowledge or education to individuals or groups to increase their self-efficacy in career planning. Adolescent career planning involves selecting the type of additional education they are interested in because it is considered a component of their career development. Furthermore, many vocational high school graduates still have difficulty choosing jobs and developing in their fields of specialization. Because their skills do not match the needs of business, industry, or entrepreneurship, vocational high school graduates continue to face challenges in finding meaningful work and starting their own businesses. And what are the implications for the philosophy of education? This study uses a quantitative descriptive research design. The tools used are a survey of self-efficacy and career planning for vocational high school students. Based on the research findings, the students' overall self-efficacy profile is in the high category, while their career planning profile is in the competent group. In addition, self-efficacy has an important role in students' career planning. Guidance and counseling teachers are advised to develop a unique self-efficacy psychoeducational program to enhance students' career planning skills by considering the elements included in this program that are in line with the educational philosophy.

Abstract

As technology advances, AI is emerging to assist in various aspects of human life. One area where AI is utilized is education, specifically guidance and counseling. AI is used to identify student needs, and counseling chatbots can assist in the implementation of established programs. The use of AI significantly enhances the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. Philosophy helps explain its epistemology, ontology, and axiology.

Abstract

This research was prompted by the low academic achievement of students. This research aimed to determine the contribution of self-regulated learning, self-awareness, and spiritual intelligence using an ex post facto quantitative method. The population comprised 170 students from Vocational High School Muhammadiyah X in Yogyakarta City, with 81 selected using cluster random sampling. Data were systematically collected through the utilization of instruments designed to assess self-regulated learning, self awareness, and spiritual intelligence. Additionally, academic achievement data were acquired from Semester Final Examination scores. The results showed that self-regulated learning, self awareness, and spiritual intelligence made a highly significant contribution to academic achievement Moreover, the combined influence of self-regulated learning, self-awareness, and spiritual intelligence also significantly contributed to the variable.

Abstract

Informasi karir saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh siswa untuk menunjang karirnya dikemudian hari. Banyak permasalahan yang ditimbulkan akibat kurangnya siswa memperoleh informasi karir. Selain itu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah adalah masih minimnya alat media yang dapat menunjang  pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dilakukan terutama terkait dengan layanan klasikal. Adapun solusi yang ditawarkan untuk meminimalisisr masalah tersebut adalah dengan mengembangkan media eksplorasi karir melalui media bimbingan klasikal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan research and development dengan mengadopsi model Borg and Gall. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek keberterimaan berdasarkan uji ahli dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik sehingga media eksplorasi karir ini layak untuk digunakan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam pelaksanaan layanan klasikal.Kata kunci: Pengembangan media, eksplorasi karir, bimbingan klasikal

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter merupakan cerminan dari pendidikan yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai luhur bangsa Indonesia. Adapun sekolah-sekolah harus menyadari bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan penanaman tentang nilai yang harus dilakukan terhadap siswa di sekolah. Lebih lanjut pendidikan tentang nilai adalah proses menanamkan nilai-nilai tertentu dan sekaligus memberikan benih kepada siswa agar mampu menumbuhkan karakter khasnya pada saat menjalankan kehidupan. Dengan kata lain, siswa tidak hanya memahami pendidikan sebagai bentuk pengetahuan, namun juga menjadikannya sebagai bagian dari hidup dan secara sadar mereka hidup berdasarkan pada nilai moral yang baik. Dalam hal ini salah satu bentuk dari pendidikan karakter yang penting untuk dikembangkan adalah empati karena di pandang sebagai akar dari nilai-nilai moral yang paling dasar. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan oleh konselor sekolah di dalam membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan empatinya melalaui konseling dengan menggunakan Penedekatan Values Clarification (VC). Lebih lanjut values clarification dapat digunakan dalam konseling individu atau kelompok karena merupakan pendekatan turunan dari psikologi humanistik (Kirschenbaum, 2013). Selain itu, pendekatan konseling values clarification juga menekankan pada kemampuan mendengarkan secara empatik untuk membantu konseli merefleksikan lebih dalam pemikiran dan perasaannya sendiri. Dalam hal ini values clarification, menganggap nilai sebagai bentuk keyakinan yang kuat untuk kondisi akhir atau bentuk dari perbuatan yang dapat diterima dengan baik.

Abstract

This study examines the contribution of spiritual and emotional intelligence to self-regulated learning among 300 Indonesian high school students. The main problem addressed is low self-regulated learning, characterized by lack of motivation, procrastination, and infrequent material review. A quantitative ex post facto design with simple random sampling was employed. Data were collected using standardized Likert scales and analyzed via multiple linear regression and independent sample t-tests. Results showed significant associations between spiritual and emotional intelligence and self-regulated learning (R = 0.489, R² = 0.284, F = 15.988, p < 0.001), with partial contributions of 16.1% and 12.8%, respectively. No significant gender differences in self-regulated learning were found. These findings underscore the importance of spiritual and emotional intelligence development to enhance self-regulated learning. Practical implications include integrating spiritual and emotional development modules into curricula, counseling programs, and self-management training.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling (GC) Model in career planning services for vocational high school (SMK) students. The research background is based on the challenges of transitioning from school to the workforce, which requires students’ career readiness, including the development of competencies, career knowledge, and adaptability to industrial dynamics. This study employs a mixed-method approach, collecting data through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analysis. Participants include SMK students, guidance counselors, and related stakeholders. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods to provide a holistic view of the effectiveness of comprehensive GC services. The findings indicate that GC services integrating assessment, individual counseling, group guidance, and career information enhance students’ career readiness. Assessment of students’ interests, talents, and competencies serves as the foundation for personalized and relevant career planning. Continuous evaluation and monitoring provide feedback for service improvement, enabling students to develop career adaptability, self-efficacy, and positive attitudes in career decision-making. This study highlights that comprehensive GC is an effective strategy to prepare students for workforce challenges.
