Abstract

Program implementation is very influential toward service outcome. This study aims to know the similarities or the differences between planning and implementation program by counselor. This study refers to discrepancy model which consist of four stages : (1) design, (2) installation, (3) process, and (4) product. The research subject is counselor of state junior high school 1 Yogyakarta. The result of questionnaire and interview shows that the score is relatively high. In conslusion, there are similarities between planning and implementation program of basic counseling.Keywords: evaluation, basic counseling of individual-social field.

Abstract

Each individual is faced with the problem of life which demands an ability to make decisions. Decision-making ability of the individual to one another is not the same. This difference is due to the factors that influence decision-making, both internal factors, and external factors. The analysis of the tendency of decision-making ability of Javanese women is very interesting to do. The purpose of analysis in order to obtain a clear picture of the tendency of Javanese women in decision-making on issues that it faces life every day. In general, people use the four processes of different decision-making ability, the strategy of independent decision making, logical, hesitated, and impulsive. The results obtained by analysis of Java that women tend to make decisions carefully, do not rush, take more time to think, and need others to seek reinforcement. This is due to the belief of Javanese women, the decision may affect the lives of themselves and others. Therefore, the decision-making process is emphasized. The process through which relies on decision-making style. Javanese women tend to have a logical decision-making strategy.

Abstract

The development of the inclusive education system in schools programmed by the Government demands changes in teacher competencies in identifying students including special need children (SNC). In fact, the teacher's ability to identify SNC is still minimal. Therefore, planned training was carried out regarding the identification of SNC. The implementation of this training can improve the ability of teachers to identify special need children. This can be known based on the values of the pretest and posttest. At the pretest the average value was 62, while at the posttest the average score was 79, it can be concluded that the training for identifying children with special needs is still very necessary for all teachers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: The particular study aimed to determine the differences performance between school counselors in organizing individual counseling services in schools in terms of educational background and work experience. The research approach was descriptive survey through a descriptive comparative study design. The subjects were school counselor in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, especially at Bantul Regency. The data analysis technique used two way ANOVA. Based on the statistical tests, the educational background and work experience did not significantly affect the performance of school counselors in providing individual counseling services in schools.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam menyelenggarakan layanan konseling individual di sekolah ditinjau dari latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman bekerja. Pendekatan penelitian dengan descriptive survey melalui rancangan descriptive comparative study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru BK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), khususnya Kabupaten Bantul. Teknik analisis menggunakan rumus two way ANOVA. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik diketahui bahwa latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman bekerja tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja Guru BK dalam menyelenggarakan layanan konseling individual di sekolah.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low meaningfulness of life among people with disabilities, especially those with autism spectrum disorder with visual impairment (ASDVI). The meaning of life greatly influences a person's quality of life, enthusiasm for living life, productivity, creativity, and happiness in living their own life. So, this research aims to determine the efficacy of individual counseling services using the cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) approach and Socratic dialogue techniques to increase the meaning of life in ASDVI students. The type of research that the researcher applied was a single-subject research experiment with the A-B-A pattern. The subject of this research was an ASDVI student at SLBN 001 Tanjungpinang. The instruments used in this research were observation and interviews. The data analysis method used is the explanatory sequential design. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in the meaning of life in ASDVI students, so the Socratic dialogue technique was considered effective in increasing the meaning of life in someone with disabilities, especially ASDVI specifications. The increasing meaningfulness of life for ASDVI students shows the difference between negative and positive thought patterns. This can be seen in changes in thinking patterns and behavior as well as independence, which shows that ASDVI students have the enthusiasm to live their lives and are independent, and can be active in seeking the views of the general public to achieve the ASDVI students' version of meaning itself and achieve a new, more positive perspective.

Abstract

Adolescents require assertiveness in socializing and interacting with their social environment in order to be able to express themselves well. However, there are still many adolescents who have not been able to express their thoughts, feelings, and hopes. This research aims to test the efficacy of group guidance services using the group investigation learning model to increase adolescent assertiveness. This research uses a one-group pretest-posttest research design to achieve the research objectives. The research subjects were six students at State Junior High School. The techniques and instruments used for data collection were an assertiveness scale. The assertiveness scale was tested for the level of validity and reliability through the Cronbach alpha formula. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results demonstrated a significant increase in student assertiveness after being given group guidance using the group investigation model. This indicates that the group investigation learning model is effective in increasing the assertiveness of adolescents.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students who exhibited high levels of body dissatisfaction. Body dissatisfaction can be defined as an individual's negative perception of their own body shape and physical condition, which may be influenced by discrepancies between their actual body standards and their desired body. This study assesses the efficacy of a deactivation group counseling approach in reducing body dissatisfaction among students at State Vocational School 4 Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The research adopted an experiment design using the pretest-posttest control group design model. The subjects were selected using simple random sampling. The subjects of this study were 10 students from tenth grade culinary 1, 2, and 3 at State Vocational School 4 Yogyakarta. The data collected in quantitative form (numbers) was then analyzed statistically. The statistical data analysis employed in this study was an independent sample t-test via SPSS 22. The findings revealed a notable decline in body dissatisfaction among the tenth grade Culinary students at State Vocational School 4 Yogyakarta. This was demonstrated by the mean pretest-posttest score on the body dissatisfaction scale, which decreased from 69.6 to 53.6 for the experimental group and from 71.8 to 66.2 for the control group after the deactivation group counseling mode was administered to the experimental group. Furthermore, the results of the independent sample t-test yielded a significant value of 0.028, indicating a p-value of less than 0.05. This suggests notable differences in the students' responses before and after the implementation of the deactivation group counseling mode. These findings substantiate the effectiveness of the deactivation group counseling mode in reducing body dissatisfaction among tenth grade culinary students at State Vocational School 4 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study examines a community empowerment initiative in Dirgantara Village in Yogyakarta that focuses on producing dry maggots to address challenges in waste management and economic development. The project targets the issue of organic waste by using maggots, specifically the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly, to efficiently decompose organic material. This method not only mitigates environmental pollution but also creates a valuable product that can be sold as animal feed, offering a sustainable income source for the community. The initiative uses a problem-based learning approach, engaging local residents through educational workshops and practical demonstrations to improve their understanding and skills in organic waste management. Results show a significant increase in community members' understanding and awareness of sustainable waste practices. The Dirgantara Village project demonstrates how integrating innovative and sustainable practices can effectively address ecological challenges and enhance economic prospects, serving as a model for other communities facing similar issues.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the instrument on student discipline given to students of SMP Negeri 1 Anggana was valid and credible. Discipline, which is influenced by family support, social environment, and self-motivation, is an important component of the learning process. Literature analysis, field studies, and quantitative data collection from students of SMP Negeri 1 Anggana were the research methods used in this study. Using 34 respondent statements, this study was given to 126 junior high school students in grade VIII. The Product Moment table, which has a significance level of 5%, shows the results of the calculation of the discipline questionnaire items. The results of the data validity test showed that thirty items were considered valid and four items were considered invalid. The Cronbach Alpha formula was used to test the reliability of the tool. If the Cronbach alpha value is greater than 0.6 and the alpha value of 0.931 is greater than 0.6, then the research variables meet the requirements for use in the study or can be considered reliable. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah instrumen tentang kedisiplinan siswa yang diberikan kepada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Anggana valid dan kredibel. Kedisiplinan, yang dipengaruhi oleh dukungan keluarga, lingkungan sosial, dan dorongan diri sendiri, merupakan komponen penting dari proses pembelajaran. Analisis literatur, studi lapangan, dan pengumpulan data kuantitatif dari siswa SMP Negeri 1 Anggana adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan 34 pernyataan responden, penelitian ini diberikan kepada 126 siswa SMP kelas VIII. Tabel Product Moment, yang memiliki taraf signifikansi 5%, yang menunjukkan hasil perhitungan item kuesioner kedisiplinan. Hasil uji validitas data menunjukkan bahwa tiga puluh item dianggap valid dan empat item dianggap tidak valid. Rumus Alpha Cronbach digunakan untuk menguji reliabilitas alat. Jika nilai alfa Cronbach lebih besar dari 0,6 dan nilai alfa 0,931 lebih besar dari 0,6, maka variabel penelitian memenuhi syarat untuk digunakan dalam penelitian atau dapat dianggap reliabel.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to examine the model between coping strategy, social interaction, and self-adjustment. The respondents of the present study were 660 17-18 years old students of junior high schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, both state and private school. The respondents were selected by using proportional sampling from a population of 128,288 students. The present study employed quantitative correlational research design. The data were analyzed using SEM. The result of the study showed that 1) social interaction was intervening variable (mediation) between coping strategy and self-adjustment. Coping strategy holds significant effect on social interaction, social interaction significantly affects self-adjustment, and 2) Coping strategy also possessed a direct correlation with self-adjustment. The result of the study can be used as consideration of the use of a coping strategy in improving an individual's self-adjustment.
