Abstract

This research aims to understand the supply chain of marine catches from fishermen to consumers in the Wonorejo village area. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with three fishermen and two collectors in the area. The findings indicate that the limited number of collectors can significantly impact the distribution of marine catch and, subsequently, the fishermen's income. Moreover, variations in the type of fish caught play a pivotal role in influencing the distribution dynamics within the market. While there's an apparent need for interventions to enhance the supply chain's efficiency and promote a more equitable distribution of income, it's vital to note that this study's limitations, including sample size and geographic scope, necessitate its results to be viewed as preliminary. Future research in a broader setting must confirm and expand upon these findings.

Abstract

Efficient construction project management is crucial to ensure quality and timely completion within budget constraints, especially for large-scale infrastructure projects. This study examines the application of the Critical Path Method (CPM) in accelerating the construction schedule of the Malaka Regency Regent's Office. The project faced various challenges, including frequent delays caused by design changes, unpredictable weather conditions, labor shortages, and inadequate material or equipment supply. These challenges often disrupted the progress and efficiency of the project, necessitating an effective solution to mitigate potential time and cost overruns. To address these issues and align project progress with the original plan, CPM was utilized to identify critical paths, eliminate lag times, and optimize the overall project schedule. Using CPM analysis and Microsoft Project 2019 software, the project's original duration of 180 calendar days was successfully reduced to 100 calendar days. This acceleration was achieved by streamlining interdependencies between critical activities and optimizing work schedules without increasing project costs. The findings highlight the significant role of CPM in achieving time savings while maintaining the planned budget of IDR 94.59 billion. Moreover, this study demonstrates that proper scheduling, coupled with optimization techniques, can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of construction projects. These results underscore CPM's potential as a valuable tool for project managers to ensure timely completion without compromising quality or incurring additional costs. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in construction project management and offers practical insights for managing similar projects in the future

Abstract

The construction industry plays a crucial role in developing infrastructure, including essential facilities like hospitals. In recent years, the design and build method has gained popularity due to its ability to integrate design and construction phases under a single contract, offering efficiency in both time and cost. However, alongside its advantages, this method brings numerous risks that can significantly affect project outcomes, especially in terms of completion delays. This research aims to analyze the influence of risk factors in design and build on the time performance of hospital construction projects. The design and build model is one of the most commonly used contract methods in construction projects due to its effectiveness in simplifying the implementation stages. However, the application of this method is often faced with risks that can affect project completion, particularly in time management. This study employed data collection techniques using questionnaires on planning and construction factors. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation to determine the relationships between variables and multiple linear regression to measure the impact of risk factors on the project's time performance. The results show that construction factors have variables with significant and strong relationships to project success, while planning factors have some variables with weak and insignificant relationships. Therefore, risk management efforts should focus on variables with strong and significant correlations to ensure the project's optimal success.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existing conditions of the intersection and provide performance improvement solutions through modeling and simulation using PTV VISSIM software. Data was obtained through field surveys, interviews with stakeholders, and related literature studies. The analysis was conducted with reference to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 to measure performance parameters such as degree of saturation, queue length, and average delay. The results showed that the existing condition of the Blimbing Three Intersection was at the LOS D level of service, with an average delay of 30.99 seconds and a queue length of 26.53 meters, reflecting less than optimal traffic performance. Based on the ARRB analysis, it is necessary to control the intersection by installing traffic signals to improve safety and efficiency. Three proposed scenarios were tested using VISSIM simulation, where Proposal 1 produced the best performance with a delay of 20.34 seconds and a queue of 10.37 meters (LOS C). Proposal 2, with a three-phase arrangement, actually worsened conditions with a delay of 54.72 seconds and a queue of 84.44 meters (LOS D). Meanwhile, Proposal 3, which combines three phases and the left-turn on-ramp feature (LTOR), gives almost as good results as Proposal 1, with a delay of 24.05 seconds and a queue of 16.28 meters, remaining at LOS C. Therefore, Proposal 3 is considered the most effective solution as it is able to improve traffic flow without neglecting the safety aspect.

Abstract

East Java Provincial Roads are vital infrastructure that supports the economic and social activities of the community. However, various road conditions, ranging from light to severe damage, are serious obstacles to the smooth running of transportation and economic activities. Limited maintenance budgets and increasing traffic burdens further exacerbate this problem. Therefore, determining the priority of road handling is a crucial step to ensure the effectiveness of the use of the budget and optimize the benefits for the community. Based on previous research, the determination of road handling priorities uses Multi-Criteria Analysis. This research aims to determine the priorities for handling roads in East Java Province by considering various factors. Influence factors will be divided into two major parts, namely policy factors and technical factors. What is considered in the policy factor is the conformity with the Strategic Plan of the East Java Provincial Public Works Office (Renstra) which contains the Priority Areas Policy for Development and the Regional Spatial Plan Policy (RTRW). For technical factors, considerations include road width, road stability conditions, traffic volume conditions, and degree of saturation. The results of the research are expected to be recommendations for local governments in formulating more effective and sustainable road management policies.

Abstract

Improvement of train services will always develop along with the development of passenger demand. Likewise in the case of Arjonegoro Train as one of the mainstay urban trains in East Java. The development of local trains, especially Arjonegoro Train, triggers the public's desire to get optimal service. The increasing expectations of passengers can be the basis for planning to improve train services. However, every improvement plan also requires a mature budget and cost design so that the plan can be implemented properly. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. 199 respondents were successfully obtained as primary data. This study uses descriptive analysis methods and literature studies in determining the service improvements needed and the cost of improving these services will be estimated. This study will examine the level of passenger satisfaction with 6 service variables to determine what services need to be improved from Arjonegoro Train. The results of the study showed that the service with the highest negative sentiment was in the availability of seats, availability of travel schedules, availability of platforms and availability of canopies. This can be mitigated by improving services in the form of adding 1 Trainset and improving the platform and canopy at the station with an estimated cost requirement for improving the Arjonegoro train service of Rp. 110,373,211,939.
