Abstract

Research on critical thinking has been done a lot. There are approximately 1,983 studies on critical thinking over the last 10 years. This study aims to classify 100 articles about critical thinking to find research novelty based on 6 categories. The first is based on the product development model, the second is based on learning tools, the third is based on the learning model, the fourth is based on education level, the fifth is based on class, and the sixth is based on subjects. This type of research is study literature. The results showed: 1) Novelty in the product development model category using the PDD model; 2) Novelty in the category of learning devices using teaching materials; 3) Novelty in the learning model category using the BSMT, ER, Culture-Based 7E Learning Cycle, Jigsaw, Remap GI & Remap J, RECORSE, 5E-STEAM, RME, PJBL, Active and Interactive Learning models; 4) Novelty in the category of education level is carried out in PAUD; 5) Novelty in the class category is carried out in grade 9; and 6) Novelty in the subject category using PAI, accounting, ICT, and social subjects.

Abstract

Pelatihan Public Speaking untuk Pengurus Ikatan Pelajar SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati merupakan bagian dari program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang melibatkan 25 peserta. Program ini dirancang dengan bentuk pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, memperdalam pemahaman terhadap dasar-dasar public speaking, serta menerapkan berbagai teknik dan strategi public speaking yang efektif bagi para pengurus Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati. Pelatihan ini berlangsung selama satu hari, dimana para peserta mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mempelajari materi dasar public speaking yang dilengkapi dengan penerapan teknik-teknik praktis. Dalam tahapan awal pelaksanaan, dimulai dengan observasi awal terhadap kemampuan peserta, kemudian penyesuaian materi pelatihan agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Selanjutnya materi dasar public speaking dimulai secara komprehensif, dilanjutkan dengan sesi praktik yang memungkinkan peserta untuk langsung menerapkan apa yang telah dipelajari. Pelatihan ini diakhiri dengan evaluasi mendalam serta pemantauan untuk memastikan bahwa tujuan pelatihan telah tercapai secara maksimal. Meskipun hasil pelatihan ini secara umum memuaskan, masih terdapat ruang untuk perbaikan dan peningkatan lebih lanjut. Namun demikian, terlihat adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan dasar public speaking di kalangan peserta. Peningkatan tersebut mencakup peningkatan kepercayaan diri saat berbicara di depan umum, penerapan sikap yang lebih tepat ketika berbicara dengan memanfaatkan gerak tubuh, serta kemampuan menyampaikan materi dengan lebih baik menggunakan teknik-teknik public speaking yang telah diajarkan. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan dampak positif bagi pengurus Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati, menjadikan mereka lebih kompeten dalam berbicara di depan umum dan lebih siap menghadapi berbagai situasi yang memerlukan keterampilan public speaking yang baik.

Abstract

Model pengembangan 4D telah banyak diteliti oleh peneliti manum pengelompokan hasil penelitian mengenai model pengembangan 4D masih kurang diteliti .Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan penelitian terkait model pengembangan 4D berdasarkan pengembangan produk, perangkat pembelajaran, model pembelajaran, keterampilan yang dikembangkan, jenjang Pendidikan, kelas, mata pelajaran, dan kurikulum. Artikel ini berkontribusi dalam menentukan kebaharuan penelitian terkait dengan topik model 4D. penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, dengan menganalisis 100 artikel ilmiah menggunakan Publish Or Perish (POP) dengan data base berasal dari Google Scholar menggunakan keyword Pengembangan 4D dengan maksimum pencarian 1000 artikel dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Model 4D paling banyak mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran media elektronik dengan mengembangkan keterampilan hasil belajar, menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada jenjang SMA kelas XI mata pelajaran Matematika kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan model 4D pada perangkat pembelajaran, game edukasi, dan SSP dengan keterampilan komunikasi dan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) menggunakan pendekatan PMR dan Study Lesson pada Jenjang SMP kelas IX merupakan topik yang mengandung kebaharuan untuk diteliti

Abstract

The study explores the nuances of students' knowledge, self-assurance, and difficulties when navigating the domains of numeracy and logical-mathematical reasoning by evaluating and comparing the levels of mathematical literacy, numeracy, and logical-mathematical thinking among higher-education students. This research uses a thorough survey covering various mathematical literacy dimensions, such as the capacity to apply mathematical ideas in practical contexts, comprehension of numeracy and literacy, assurance when working with numerical data, and the influence of emotional variables on rational thought. Our analysis, based on replies from graduate and undergraduate students at renowned Indonesian universities, shows that self-assessed competency is generally moderate to good, with significant differences between academic subjects and study levels. The research indicates a potential relationship between curriculum focus and mathematical literacy since some students from specific programs have a marginally more significant skill level. The results highlight how crucial it is to incorporate real-world applications and emotional intelligence into mathematical education to improve student confidence, comprehension, and engagement. This study offers important insights into the state of mathematical literacy today. It suggests possible areas for curriculum development and pedagogical innovation to better prepare our future professionals for the demands of a digital and data-driven world as we map out the future of educational strategies in higher education.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi yang sangat pesat menuntut individu untuk memiliki kemampuan computational thinking guna menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan secara komputasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran STEM yang terintegrasi dengan computational thinking dalam meningkatkan kemampuan murid dalam memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 30 murid kelas IX-A di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Mlati. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes tertulis dan lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired simple t-tes dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi computational thinking terlaksana dengan persentase sebesar 84% berkategori baik, yang termasuk dalam kategori baik. Selain itu, uji Paired simple t-tes menunjukkan nilai sig. sebesar 0,000, dengan rata-rata skor N-Gain untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah murid sebesar 0,62 berkategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran STEM terintegrasi computational thinking memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah murid

Abstract

Mathematical numeracy is a fundamental skill that students need to develop. Social media platforms like TikTok have the potential to support students in enhancing their mathematical numeracy skills. This study examines the effect of using TikTok on students' mathematical numeracy skills through a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 30 class XI science students from Senior High School of Muhammadiyah Mlati, Yogyakarta, selected using a nonprobability sampling technique. The learning process integrated TikTok as a supplementary learning medium, and learning outcomes were assessed using pretests and posttests with validated instruments. Data collection involved a questionnaire (10 items) regarding learning experiences with TikTok and a numeracy test (5 items). Simple linear regression analysis, conducted with SPSS-25, confirmed normal data distribution and a linear relationship between TikTok use and numeracy skills. The regression analysis yielded a significance value of 0.015 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of TikTok on students’ mathematical numeracy skills. The R Square value of 0.195 suggests that TikTok accounts for 19.5% of the improvement in numeracy skills, with the remaining 80.5% attributed to other factors. The n-Gain test result of 0.63 classifies the numeracy skill enhancement as moderate. These findings highlight TikTok’s effectiveness as an alternative learning medium for improving mathematical numeracy skills. This study implies that TikTok can be integrated into the teaching process as a supplementary tool to effectively enhance students’ mathematical numeracy skills.

Abstract

This research delves into the background provided and aims to uncover effective strategies for managing the Muhammadiyah Student Association in schools, to foster strong relationships between educational institutions and the community. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were gathered through descriptive studies, documentation related to student activities and the Muhammadiyah Student Association, and interviews with several informants. These informants included the Trustees of the Muhammadiyah Student Association, the Muhammadiyah Student Association Management Committee, and members of the Muhammadiyah Student Association at Muhammadiyah Mlati High School. Data collection techniques comprised interviews and documentation. The findings indicate that while the management of the Muhammadiyah Student Association at Muhammadiyah Mlati High School has been implemented, it has not yet reached an optimal level. This is attributed to existing weaknesses in the management process and the underutilization of available strengths and opportunities.
