Abstract

Abstract. Khilafiah (the difference's of teachings) NU-Muhammadiyah has been known by the Muslim community of Indonesia. However, some students still question these differences. They question why in Islam many madhhabs, why Muslims do not agree in a single madhhab. The study aims to produce a learning model of madhhab typology NU-Muhammadiyah to improve students' understanding and acceptance of the variety of madhhabs of Islam. The research method used quasi experiment with one-sample t-test. The study found, the learning model of madhhab typology NU-Muhammadiyah proved to improve students' understanding and acceptance of different madhhabs. By exploring the different religious views between these two madhhabs the students are shown to have sufficient understanding of some of the religious issues of the two madhhabs' perspectives. They can also accept the teachings and the presence of NU and Muhammadiyah. However, the acceptance of these two jam`iyah did not indicate that the students had an inclusive and tolerant attitude to the variety of madhhabs of Islam.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the model of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lectures that are peaceful, moderate, and tolerant in Indonesia University of Education (UPI). The research method used is descriptive-qualitative. The study found that the peaceful, moderate, and tolerant model of Islamic Education is to use open-ended lecture models that include the openness of lecturers, materials and methods. The openness of the lecturer is shown by the attitude and the thinking of the lecturer who sees the difference of understand, madzhab and religion as necessity and not exclusive, material disclosure is shown by substantive and inclusive material selection, while method openness is demonstrated by the use of an argumentative dialogical learning method consisting of ushul study cross-mazhab method, methodology of madhahab typhology  and method of study of religions. AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan model perkuliahan PAI yang damai, moderat, dan toleransi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif-kualitatif. Penelitian menemukan bahwa Model Pendidikan Agama Islam yang damai, moderat, dan toleran yaitu menggunakan model perkuliahan yang terbuka yang meliputi keterbukaan dosen, materi dan metode. Keterbukaan dosen ditunjukkan dengan sikap dan pemikiran dosen yang melihat perbedaan paham, mazhab dan agama sebagai keniscayaan dan tidak bersifat eksklusif; keterbukaan materi ditunjukkan dengan pemilihan materi secara substantive dan inklusif,sedangkan keterbukaan metode ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang dialogis argumentatif yang terdiri dari metode studi ushul lintas mazhab, metode tipologi mazhab dan metode studi agama-agama.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model pembelajaran berbasis Al-Qur’an pada mata pelajaran agama untuk meningkatkan moderasi beragama siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (RD). Hasil penelitian iii menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran ini, sebagian besar siswa tidak mengaitkan Iman dan Kafir dengan identitas agama. Mereka mengatakan bahwa Iman dan keraguan berhubungan dengan akhlak yang baik dan buruk. Non-Muslim yang rendah hati, berakhlak mulia dan peduli menghilangkan beban manusia diangkat sebagai orang beriman oleh Allah. Sedangkan umat Islam yang angkuh, berakhlak buruk, dan egois dinilai kafir oleh Allah. Mereka juga akan mengizinkan pemeluk agama lain untuk melakukan kegiatan keagamaan dan mendirikan rumah ibadah di sekitar mereka. Dalam politik praktis, mereka rela memilih calon pemimpin terbaik meski agama mereka non-Muslim. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran, Al-Qur’an, Moderasi agama, Moderasi  Abstract: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Qur'an-based learning model on religious subjects to increase students' religious moderation. The research method used is research and development (RD). The results of this study show that after following this lesson, most of the students did not associate Faith and Kafir with religious identity. They say that Faith and doubt are related to good and bad morals. Non-Muslims who are humble, have noble character and care about removing human burdens are appointed as believers by Allah. Meanwhile, Muslims who are arrogant, have bad morals, and are selfish are considered infidels by Allah. They will also allow followers of other religions to carry out religious activities and build houses of worship around them. In practical politics, they are willing to choose the best candidate for leader even though their religion is non-Muslim.Keywords: Learning model, Al-Qur'an, Religious moderation, Moderation

Abstract

Abstract. In Sufi order (tarekat), Islam-Sufi is the practice of Islam that is bound in the teacher-student relationship. Can Islam-Sufi be implemented in universities? The study aims to examine the effectiveness of the madhhab typology learning models (Islam-Sufi and Islam-Syari’at) to improve the understanding and tolerance of madhhab among students. This research uses the RD approach. The initial stage of testing the limited model at Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). The results of the study show that the learning model of madhhab typology is effective in increasing students’ understanding and tolerance of the diversity  madhhabs. Before lecturing, students looked at Sufism as foreign entity influenced by non-Islamic teaching. But after lectures (six times meetings), they mostly accepted and argued that Sufism had a strong basis from the Quran, the Sunnah, and the practice of pious Ulamas.   Abstrak. Dalam tarekat, Islam-Sufi adalah pengamalan Islam yang diikat dalam hubungan guru-murid. Bisakah Islam-Sufi diimplementasikan di universitas? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran tipologi mazhab (Islam-Sufi dan Islam Syari’at) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan toleransi bermazhab di kalangan mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan RD. Tahap awal uji-coba model dilakukan secara terbatas di Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) dan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran tipologi mazhab (Islam-Sufi dan Islam-Syari’at) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan toleransi mahasiswa terhadap mazhab yang berbeda. Sebelum perkuliahan mahasiswa umumnya memandang asing Islam-Sufi. Bahkan sebagian kecil dari mereka kurang menerimanya dengan tuduhan Islam-Sufi sebagai pengaruh non-Islam. Tetapi setelah perkuliahan (enam kali tatap muka), mereka kebanyakan menerimanya dan berpendapat bahwa Islam-sufi memiliki basis yang kuat dari Al-Quran, Al-Sunnah, dan praktek para Ulama saleh.

Abstract

Abstract. Religious tolerance among students is quite problematic. The results of previous studies showed that student’s intolerance was quite high. The question is, how to teach students a solid faith and be tolerant of other religions and different Islamic groups? Abdurrahman An-Nahlawi, An Islamic Scholar and Professor of Islamic Education in Egypt introduced seven types of Quranic methods, one of which is Hiwar Jadalī (dialogue-argumentative Qurani). This method is thought to strengthen faith as well as religious tolerance of students, provided that the lecturer can choose the right verses. This study aims to produce Hiwar Jadalī learning model in Islamic Religious Education to strengthen the religious belief and tolerance of UPI students. This research uses descriptive-comparative method. Two classes used the Hiwar Jadalī learning model while the other two classes used the ordinary model. As a result, Hiwar Jadalī’s learning model was proven to be more effective in strengthening students’ faith and religious tolerance. Abstrak. Toleransi beragama di kalangan mahasiswa cukup bermasalah. Hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan intoleransi mahasiswa cukup tinggi. Pertanyaannya, bagaimanakah mengajarkan keimanan yang kokoh kepada mahasiswa sekaligus toleran terhadap agama dan golongan Islam lain yang berbeda?. Abdurrahman An-Nahlawi, Ulama dan Guru Besar Pendidikan Islam Mesir mengenalkan tujuh jenis metode Qurani, salah satunya Hiwar Jadalī (dialog-argumentatif Qurani). Metode ini diduga dapat mengokohkan keimanan sekaligus toleransi beragama bagi mahasiswa, dengan catatan dosen dapat memilih penggalan ayat-ayat yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model pembelajaran Hiwar Jadalī dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk mengokohkan keimanan dan toleransi beragama mahasiswa UPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-komparatif. Dua kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran Hiwar Jadalī sedangkan dua kelas lainnya menggunakan model biasa. Hasilnya, model pembelajaran Hiwar Jadalī terbukti lebih efektif mengokohkan keimanan dan toleransi beragama mahasiswa.
