Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of Clickbait on news headlines in online media to attract readers. The data is in the form of title sentences published by online media. In this research, the author uses a qualitative method. The data is taken from Fajar.co.id, iNews.id, Detik.com, CNN Indonesia, Tribun-Timur.com, Metrosuara.com, and Tvonenews.com. The data taken is in the form of news titles selected based on certain criteria in accordance with the research problem. The results of this study show that, in general, the use of clickbait article titles is widely used by online media to attract readers' interest by disturbing curiosity arising from the information gap between what readers know and what readers want to know. Many clickbait article titles focus on celebrity subjects, rumors, and fictitious accounts and some even have no news value at all. The main purpose of using clickbait article titles is to drive more visits from online media users so that revenue through advertising increases.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the lack of vocabulary mastery in class IV students at UPTD SD Negeri 32 Barru Regency. This research aims to determine the relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write narrative essays in class IV UPTD students at SD Negeri 32 Barru Regency. This type of research is correlational research and is a quantitative type of research. The sample in this study was 30 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using student learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique in this research is parametric statistics. After analyzing the data, the researchers found that students' vocabulary mastery and their ability to write narrative essays had a very strong correlation, namely 0.815. rcount = 0.815 and rtable. The results of the analysis show that the value of rcount is greater than rtable (0.815 > 0.361). Based on the results of rcount and rabel, it can be stated that the alternative hypothesis H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected or it can be concluded that based on the achievement of the correlation test significance level Product moment shows that there is a relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write narrative essays in class IV students at UPTD SD Negeri 32 Barru.

Abstract

This research aims to see how much influence results from learning using the Blended learning flex model system on student learning outcomes and their role in the learning process, especially on the material of writing procedural texts. In this study, a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design was used. One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design is a type of Pre-Experimental Design research. Data collection techniques use exams/tests and documentation. The population and sample size of this research are all class IV students at UPT SPF SDN Mamajang I, Makassar city, totaling 25 students. The results of this research are the pretest posttest which has been tested on students, and the results of hypothesis testing from this research are tcount = 11.0227 with ttable= 2.064, then Ho is rejected and H¹ is accepted. Fakhirah Amalia Lukman. 2023. Improving Reading Comprehension Skills using the Sustained Silent Reading Method in Class IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Kelapa Tiga 1 Makassar. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. This research aims to improve reading comprehension skills using the Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) method for class IV UPT SPF students at SD Inpres Kelapa Tiga 1 Makassar. The subjects used in this research were 23 students. This research procedure consists of 4 stages each cycle, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The indicator of reading comprehension in this research is the achievement of learning completeness. The data collection is an observation sheet and the final test of each cycle. The results of this research show that there is an increase in students' reading comprehension, namely in the first cycle of students' reading comprehension, an average score of 56.1 was obtained with a learning completeness of 26%. In cycle II the average score was 80.8 with learning completeness of 86.9%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) method can improve reading comprehension in class IV students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Kelapa Tiga 1 Makassar.

Abstract

Keefektifan Metode Belajar Deliberate Practice Terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Cerita Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 78 Bakke Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan metode belajar deliberate practice terhadap keterampilan membaca cerita siswa kelas V SD Negeri 78 Bakke Kabupaten Soppeng ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen berbentuk eksperimental design menggunakan one group pretest posttest yang hanya memiliki satu kelompok subjek yang dilaksanakan tanpa adanya kelompok pembanding dan diberikan perlakuan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Delierate Practice. Variabel dalam penelitian ini  terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu metode pembelajaran Delierate Practice dan variabel terikat yaitu keterampilan membaca cerita  siswa kelas V SD Negeri 78 Bakke berjumlah 15 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunaka uji-t untuk menguji efektifitas penggunaan metode pembelajaran Deliberate Practice terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis statik inferensial dengan menggunakan uji-t diketahui bahwa keterampilan membaca cerita siswa meningkat, hal ini terlibat dimana t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode deliberate practice efektif terhadap keterampilan membaca cerita siswa kelas V SD Negeri 8 Bakke Kabupaten Soppeng.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are the output of the teaching and learning process. One of the problems in learning at school is the low student learning outcomes. This can be known from the initial data on the value of the diagnostic analysis results. Many factors influence learning outcomes, one of which is the learning model. The Problem Based Learning Model is an innovative learning model that requires students to be active and motivate students so that they can support and help each other in mastering the subject matter being studied. Research procedures include the observation stage, preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The population and sample in this research were 28 students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 11 MAROS. The sampling technique in this research used a saturated sampling technique.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of the ability to summarize the contents of the text of the results of observations of class VII A Bajeng Script Middle School. This study aims to find out (1) The implementation of learning summarizes the contents of the text of the observation report using the CIRC learning model (2) Improving the ability of learning outcomes in summarizing the text of the observation report using the CIRC learning model in class VII A SMP Aksara Bajeng. This research is classroom action research which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were all students of class VII A with a total of 25 students. The treatment given to research subjects to improve learning outcomes of the material summarizes the contents of the text of the observation report using the CIRC learning model. The results showed that the implementation of learning using the CIRC learning model was appropriate to improve students' abilities in summarizing the text of the observation report. This is evidenced by the value of student learning outcomes that have increased each cycle. In the initial test the average value of students was 47.92 with a learning mastery level of 28%. In cycle I the average value of student learning was 62.4 with a mastery level of 44%. Cycle II student average score of 81.8 with a mastery level of 80%. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of class VII A students at Bajeng Script Middle School through the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model have increased.

Abstract

This research is quantitative that aims to test the cause-and-effect relationship between variables by providing treatment. This method is used to measure the influence of using padlet applications in learning to write news texts. This research uses a Pre- Experimental design. In this study, researchers used Pre-Experimental Design with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type, namely in this study there is a pretest before being treated. Based on the results of research and discussion, it was found that the ability to write student news texts before applying the padlet application is still in the category of inadequate and sufficient. This is because in the text structure indicator, students are still unclear, chaotic in the text structure, the text structure is not organised and there are some unclear parts. This research describes the ability of students to write news after applying the padlet application where on the indicators of text structure, content/idea development, language use, creativity, and the suitability of theme, the student's news writing ability, most students are already in the good and very good categories.

Abstract

This study is a pre-experimental study that aims to determine the effectiveness ofthe use of interactive learning devices in improving the writing skills of Class Vstudents of SDN 2 Bababulo, Pamboang Pamboang District, Majene Regency, thepopulation of this study amounted to 36 students. The sample of this study wasclass V-A which amounted to 18 students. The research data were obtained andthe learning outcome test on the material of writing essays in the form of pre-testsand post-tests. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistical analysisand inferential statistics. Based on the results of the inferential analysis of the t-test design 2, the t-count value was 1.739, which was greater than the t-table11.480. It can be concluded that the use of interactive learning devices is effectivein improving the writing skills of Class V students of SDN 2 Bababulo, PamboangDistrict, Majene Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the semantic functions of the regional particles mi, ji, and pi in social media communication within South Sulawesi. These particles frequently appear in posts, comments, and informal conversations across digital platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok. The research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through documentation techniques by compiling user posts and comments that actively utilized these particles. The analysis was conducted interpretively to identify the meanings, semantic roles, and pragmatic aspects associated with the usage of each particle. The findings reveal that mi, ji, and pi serve various semantic functions, including assertion, emotional marking, and meaning reinforcement. These particles do not merely function grammatically; they also carry social and cultural significance, reflecting the speaker’s identity, particularly among communities in South Sulawesi. The use of these particles is strongly influenced by the user’s social context, interpersonal relationships, and the informal, community-based nature of digital communication. In the realm of social media, these elements enhance personal expression and foster a sense of belonging among users who share similar cultural backgrounds. This study highlights the importance of understanding regional language dynamics within the context of modern digital communication. Therefore, further research is recommended, particularly in the areas of pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and cross-platform language use, to deepen insights into how local languages adapt to and function in contemporary discourse. Moreover, integrating knowledge about these particles into language education and the development of digital learning materials is encouraged. Such efforts could contribute to preserving local languages while simultaneously improving linguistic literacy among the public—especially the younger generation—in today’s digital era. This not only promotes cultural recognition but also reinforces the value of indigenous linguistic identity in the evolving landscape of online communication.
