Abstract

As Islamic boarding schools grow and develop quantitatively, it certainly has a positive impact on society, namely that there are more and more choices of places to study Islam. However, from the negative side, as the number of Islamic boarding schools increases, there will be practices of competing with each other to gain influence and trust from the community. Therefore, the existence of Islamic boarding schools cannot be separated from elements of society who act as students or users. If the public is not interested in the Islamic boarding school, it will certainly have an impact on the sustainability and resilience of the Islamic boarding school. These conditions certainly require Islamic boarding schools to make efforts so that people are interested and willing to study at Islamic boarding schools. This effort is of course through promotion to the wider community using various methods, methods, media and requires good public relations. Therefore, this research specifically analyzes efforts, media, methods and sales marketing strategies to attract the interest of new students to study at Islamic boarding schools. Through qualitative research methods, researchers uncover and analyze Islamic boarding school efforts in carrying out promotions. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews and digging up documents from informants and research locations to obtain credible data and results.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates human resource management (HRM) challenges within Madrasa Serajul Uloom, an Indian religious educational institution, using a qualitative case study approach guided by Institutional Theory. Findings reveal HRM practices are significantly shaped by the interplay of coercive pressures from state regulations, mimetic adoption of practices from peer institutions, and strong normative expectations rooted in religious values. This confluence generates tensions between formalization and tradition, leading to specific difficulties in areas like recruitment, compensation, and policy implementation. The research highlights the complex negotiation required to balance legitimacy demands

Abstract

This study provides an analytical overview of marketing management challenges and solutions within Indonesian higher education institutions (HEIs). Employing a qualitative, multiple case study approach guided by the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Relationship Marketing Theory, we analyzed data from interviews and institutional documents. Findings reveal significant challenges stemming from inadequate unique resources (RBV) and underdeveloped stakeholder relationships (Relationship Marketing). Effective solutions necessitate integrating resource development, such as enhancing brand reputation and digital capabilities, with strategies to build stronger connections with students, alumni, and industry partners.

Abstract

Operational efficiency in Islamic Higher Education Institutions (IHEIs) requires the integration of technology that is aligned with local wisdom and Islamic values. This study, framed by Contingency Theory, aims to identify adaptive integrative strategies for institutional contexts. A qualitative case study was conducted on four IHEIs in Indonesia, selected based on geographical variation and institutional accreditation status. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 16 key informants (institutional leaders, heads of IT units, and faculty members), as well as analysis of 24 institutional policy documents and strategic plans. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns of technology integration with Islamic values and local culture. The results show that the effectiveness of integration depends on the contextual conditions of each institution. For example, one institution integrated a digital learning management system with character-building modules based on Islamic boarding school values, while another institution adapted its digital platforms to the structure of the local traditional organization. Theoretical implications suggest the need for contingency-based managerial flexibility in Islamic education governance. Practical implications point to the importance of developing technology policies that are responsive to the religious and cultural values of institutions. This study confirms that the success of digital transformation in IHEIs is not solely determined by technological capacity, but by the institution's ability to adapt strategies to its socio-cultural and spiritual context.
Adaptation Strategies of Multinational Corporations in Facing Regulatory Changes in the Global Business Environment: A Case Study in the Renewable Energy Sector Dasep Supriatna

Abstract

Regulatory changes in global business, particularly in the renewable energy sector, require multinational companies (MNCs) to adopt rapid and effective adaptation strategies. This study aims to analyze how MNCs in the solar and wind energy sectors respond to increasingly complex and frequently changing cross-border regulatory dynamics. Using the Institutional Theory framework, specifically coercive, mimetic, and normative pressures, this research explores the institutional factors shaping corporate adaptation strategies. The research employs a multiple qualitative case study approach involving six MNCs operating in different jurisdictions. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with senior managers, as well as analysis of company strategic documents and government regulations related to renewable energy. The results indicate that coercive pressures from governments and international institutions are the primary drivers of strategy change, while mimetic pressures emerge due to policy uncertainty, prompting companies to imitate competitors' practices. On the other hand, normative pressures from industry associations and stakeholder expectations reinforce the importance of social legitimacy and sustainability. The findings also indicate that adaptation is contextual and influenced by the specificity of national regulations and organizational capacity to manage change. This study contributes theoretically to understanding the strategic responses of MNCs through an institutional lens and provides practical implications for policymakers and industry actors in designing regulatory frameworks that promote an inclusive and adaptive global energy transition.
