Abstract

Abstract Students are in a transitional period towards adulthood that requires them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. One important aspect of students social development is their ability to form peer relationships. Ideally, friendships between students should be positive. However, in reality, there are still conflicts between friends, unhealthy competition, lack of empathy, and individualistic attitudes. This condition prompted researchers to find the reasons behind this gap. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of students' experiences in forming peer relationships on campus. The approach used is qualitative with a phenomenological method. The research subjects consisted of three Sriwijaya University students from three different faculties selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that students experiences in establishing peer relationships on campus vary greatly. First, cooperation among students is built through good communication, a sense of responsibility, and fairness. Second, competition among students can be a source of motivation as well as conflict. Third, students have various ways of resolving problems in their friendships. These findings indicate that peer relationships among students are a dynamic process influenced by individual factors and the social situation on campus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran bimbingan dan konseling (BK) dalam membentuk nilai-nilai karakter siswa melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai jurnal, buku, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dengan topik pendidikan karakter. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa BK memiliki kontribusi penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui pengembangan nilai moral, etika, tanggung jawab, empati, dan disiplin. Peran guru BK tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada aspek sosial dan emosional siswa, seperti pengembangan diri, keterampilan sosial, pengendalian emosi, serta pengambilan keputusan yang bijak. Solusi yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan profesionalisme guru BK, penguatan kerja sama sekolah–orang tua, serta penerapan nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila secara berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperluas kajian melalui penelitian lapangan yang melibatkan observasi langsung di sekolah, pengembangan model layanan BK berbasis digital dan kolaboratif, serta analisis komparatif antara jenjang pendidikan untuk mengetahui efektivitas peran BK dalam konteks yang berbeda. Dengan demikian, bimbingan dan konseling berperan strategis dalam menciptakan peserta didik yang berakhlak, mandiri, dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the psychological flexibility profile of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pajar Bulan and examine gender differences. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach to objectively describe the students' psychological flexibility. The results showed that, in general, students' psychological flexibility was in the moderate category. This finding indicates that most students have demonstrated adequate adaptability in facing academic and social demands, but still require strengthening in aspects of emotional management, self-acceptance, and consistent action based on values. In terms of gender differences, female students tend to have higher psychological flexibility than male students. These results emphasize the importance of developing guidance and counseling services in schools that focus on increasing students' psychological flexibility to support their psychological resilience and mental well-being.

Abstract

The diversity of intellectual abilities possessed by students is one of the important factors that influence the learning process as well as their success in school. This condition requires a measurement tool that is capable of depicting students' cognitive abilities comprehensively. One of the instruments often used for this purpose is the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) Test. This research applies a literature review method which is analyzed descriptively. by collecting, examining, and synthesizing scientific articles regarding the use of the WISC in assessing students' cognitive abilities. The article selection process was carried out through data sources such as Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, PubMed Central, and ScienceDirect, which were then selected based on inclusion criteria, selecting 13 articles within the last five years that specifically reviewed aspects of effectiveness, validity, and implementation of WISC in the field of education. The study results indicate that the WISC test is capable of providing an overview of students' cognitive strengths and weaknesses through several indices, such as Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Reasoning, Working Memory, and Processing Speed. In addition, the results of the WISC assessment can help educators identify learning difficulties experienced by students and design learning strategies or educational interventions that are appropriate to their needs. Thus, the WISC plays an important role in supporting a more effective and data-based individualized learning process in the educational environment.
