Abstract

Storytelling dalam pendidikan anak usia dini biasanya dijadikan guru sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan melalui cerita yang dibawakan. Pada saat menceritakan sebuah dongeng, guru biasanya akan mengajak siswa untuk berimajinasi dan membayangkan cerita yang ditampilkan. Kendala yang seringkali terjadi, kegiatan mendongeng hanya dilakukan guru secara verbal (tanpa menggunakan media). Guru hanya bercerita tanpa menggunakan media lain yang dapat meningkatkan minat siswa untuk menyimak proses mendongeng tersebut sehingga nilai-nilai pendidikan yang diharapkan dapat dimasukkan ke dalam cerita tersebut tidak dapat diterima dengan baik oleh siswa. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini antara lain: pengenalan sock puppet, Storytelling, demonstrasi, dan praktek pembuatan sock puppet bersama siswa. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa setelah menggunakan media sock puppet, siswa menjadi lebih mudah untuk menyimak dan memahami pesan yang disampaikan pada kegiatan storytelling yang diberikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sock puppet memiliki andil yang besar dalam proses pembelajaran dan penyerapan pesan-pesan dan nilai pendidikan kepada anak. Selain dapat meningkatkan kreativitas anak, sock puppet juga dapat menjadi media edukatif yang menyenangkan bagi anak.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines efforts to instill character education for Generation Z at the Mapas Studio, Palangka Raya, through creating Dhemit theater works. Generation Z are people born between the 2000s and 2010s. The challenge currently facing the world of education is implementing the right strategy to provide academic knowledge while forming strong characters and positive personality qualities for Generation Z. The research method used a qualitative approach to creating works of art, namely searching for ideas, designing works, and realizing works. Data was obtained through field notes, observations, and literature studies. The results of this study found that aspects of the Character Education Strengthening program from the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely teaching the values ​​of Integrity, Religiousness, Nationalism, Independence, and Mutual Cooperation, were all obtained by members of the Mapas Studio through the process of creating Dhemit theater works.   Keywords: Creation of Theater Works , Character Education for Generation Z.

Abstract

This service activity provides an experience of local culture, especially dance at Central Kalimantan, SDN 7 Pahandut in Central Kalimantan Dayak dance creations. Community service activities provide knowledge about the diversity of dances that exist in Central Kalimantan and increase students' ability to perform Central Kalimantan Dayak creative dance movements. For teachers, it is hoped that this activity will make it easier to determine the material to be taught as well as become a reference in the future learning process. Based on the activities carried out by the PKM Team during these 3 days, several results were obtained, including: Dance training was more popular with female students than male students. This is because students think that dancing is an activity or action that is generally carried out by women. So male students feel embarrassed to dance. In this case, the PKM Team provides training based on student interests and without any coercion on students. The initial training process is an introduction to the types of Central Kalimantan Dayak dance and creative dance that will be taught. This introduction is nailing to the training participants. From the coercion process, the result was that students began to get to know Central Kalimantan Dayak dance. This can be seen from the body movements of students who start to sculpt little by little. The dance demonstration given uses simple movements which are traditional Central Kalimantan Dayak dance movements that are modified and combine several traditional Central Kalimantan Dayak dance movements which are packaged according to elementary school children's dance movements so that they can be easily imitated by students.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate efforts to revitalize the cultural heritage of the Dayak Ngaju through the development of the traditional Mandau weapon design incorporating the Djata motif. The Mandau weapon is an essential part of the cultural identity of the Dayak people, passed down from generation to generation. Amid the currents of modernization, efforts to preserve and revitalize local culture, including traditional weapon design, are necessary to prevent the loss of its cultural significance and philosophical values. This research examines the historical and aesthetic aspects of the Mandau, integrating the Djata motif as a symbol of protection and strength. The method includes an interview with a Mandau weapon craftsman, documentation, and a visual analysis of traditional Dayak motifs. The results indicate that the Djata motif in the Mandau design can strengthen cultural values and enrich the traditional art repertoire of Dayak Ngaju.

Abstract

Teater objek dalam dunia seni pertunjukan lebih dikenal dengan istilah teater boneka. Namun, kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teater objek berdampak pada minimnya minat mereka terhadap jenis teater ini, baik sebagai penonton maupun pelaku. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi proses penciptaan pertunjukan teater objek ramah anak oleh Komunitas Borneo Art Play di Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan objek sebagai medium utama dalam teater menciptakan interaksi yang menarik dan mudah dipahami penonton terkhususnya oleh anak-anak. Selain itu, pertunjukan ini berhasil menyampaikan nilai-nilai pendidikan, seperti kearifan lokal, pelestarian alam, dan kepedulian lingkungan, dengan cara yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman mengenai peran seni pertunjukan dalam pendidikan anak, serta menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan kreativitas dalam komunitas seni lokal. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi penggiat seni dan pendidik dalam menciptakan program-program edukatif yang efektif dan menarik bagi anak-anak.

Abstract

The creation of the dance artwork raises the Laowomaru dance because the author wants to reintroduce the legendary story of the Nias tribe, so that the existing cultural values will not be lost. This work also conveys messages and motivation to the audience. Therefore, the author created a new contemporary dance piece to enable free movement with creativity according to the author’s abilities. The method used in this dance work employs Hawkins' creation theory, which is known in the context of art to emphasize that art creation involves several main stages, namely: Exploration, Improvisation, and Formation. The Laowomaru dance project: The Story of Samson from Nias Island aims to create a contemporary dance that visualizes the character of Laowomaru and introduces the legend to the younger generation while still being grounded in tradition. This dance benefits cultural preservation, introduces the Nias warrior figure, and serves as inspiration for other choreographers. The work was developed through the stages of exploration, improvisation, and formation based on Hawkins' dance creation theory, and analyzed using La Meri’s theory. There are 10 dancers from the students and university students of Palangka Raya. This dance uses 52 floor patterns, digital music with a duration of 12 minutes and 17 seconds, as well as costumes and makeup that reflect the cultural identity of Nias.

Abstract

Masalah saat ini yaitu terbatasnya model pembelajaran yang mampu mengintegrasikan pengembangan karakter secara kontekstual dan mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan metode akting Laku Dramatik dalam model Project-Based Learning (PJBL) berbasis pendekatan Among untuk mengaktualisasikan prinsip-prinsip Panca Dharma Ki Hadjar Dewantara dalam penciptaan teater dan pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa sanggar. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung terhadap proses latihan dan pementasan, FGD, serta dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa panduan observasi, panduan FGD, dan lembar dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik yang diperkuat dengan triangulasi sumber, member checking, dan audit trail. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi metode Laku Dramatik dalam PJBL mampu membentuk karakter siswa secara menyeluruh melalui penguatan nilai-nilai hukum alam, kemerdekaan, kebudayaan, nasionalisme, dan kemanusiaan. Disimpulkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang terintegrasi dengan metode dramatik dan prinsip pendidikan Ki Hadjar Dewantara efektif dalam membentuk karakter. Implikasinya, pendekatan ini dapat diadaptasi oleh institusi pendidikan dan komunitas seni sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran karakter berbasis budaya yang progresif dan aplikatif.
