Abstract

COVID-19 caused the learning process to change from a face-to-face learning process to a distance learning process by using various applications. However, this learning process is also considered less effective in math because students’ conceptual understanding is imperfect. The imperfection of this concept caused students to experience learning loss. This research aimed to analyze students’ learning loss in elementary schools in mathematics subjects. This research used a qualitative research design with a case study type of research. This research involved 280 fifth-grade students from 4 elementary schools. The research results showed that students experienced learning loss in understanding geometry and fraction concepts. Students cannot solve math problems if the problem contains two concepts at once. According to the students, they did not understand these three topics well because when studying these topics, they carried out a distance learning process. Based on these findings, researchers concluded that students experienced learning loss in the high category, with 82% students affected. This study highlights the need for teachers to address learning loss that students experience in geometry and fraction materials. Thus, mathematics teachers can prepare learning tools to help students overcome learning loss.

Abstract

This study addresses limited innovation in elementary Pancasila Education, where paper based student worksheets (LKPD) dominate and provide little interactive feedback. It aimed to develop electronic LKPD (E LKPD) on Liveworksheets that are interactive and engaging, thereby improving pupils’ comprehension and involvement. Using the ADDIE Research and Development framework Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation the product was piloted with Grade IV learners: initial trials at SDN 8 Talang Muandau, further research at SDN 20, and full implementation at SDN 11. Content, media, and language experts assessed the E LKPD, awarding an average validity of 90.42 percent, classifying it as “highly valid.” Practicality questionnaires returned scores of 93.66 percent at the trial school, 93.86 percent at the research school, and 95.64 percent at the implementation school, all rated “highly practical.” Effectiveness was tested via pre  and post assessments; Mann–Whitney analysis produced p = 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming significant improvement in learning outcomes after using the E LKPD. The digital format incorporates automatic feedback, multimedia elements, and diversified exercises aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, making learning more student centred and promoting critical thinking skills. These findings demonstrate that the Liveworksheets based E LKPD is a valid, practical, and effective tool for enriching Pancasila Education in Grade IV.

Abstract

Collagen-supplemented milk products are susceptible to damage due to high-temperature processing Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) pasteurization is carried out with a pretreatment temperature of <65oC to maintain quality. This study aims to determine the total microbe, the level of microbial decline and the intensity of the sensory profile of milk supplemented with collagen by pretreatment in the PEF pasteurization process. This study used a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern of 2 factors and 3 replications, the first factor was the pretreatment temperature (30, 45 and 60oC), and the second factor was the pretreatment time (10, 20, 30 minutes) which was then pasteurized using the PEF method with a voltage of 15 kv/cm for 120 seconds. Furthermore, these 9 treatments were compared with PEF pasteurized milk without pretreatment and Low Temperature Long Time / LTLT pasteurized milk (pasteurized at 65oC for 30 minutes). The results showed that pretreatment with a temperature of 60oC for 20 and 30 minutes resulted in a total microbial count of 3.406±0.19 CFU/mL and 3.395±0.146 log CFU/mL, respectively. The average total microbe of milk supplemented with collagen in the combination of PEF pasteurization with pretreatment is smaller than the pretreatment process alone with a value below the SNI standard so it is safe for consumption. The average microbial decrease was 2.88 log cycles and was not significantly different (P<0.05) with LTLT thermal pasteurization. The results of the sensory profile intensity test showed that the pretreatment with a temperature of 60oC for 10, 20 and 30 minutes had a sensory profile value that was closest to LTLT pasteurization on the attributes of fishy aroma, milk aroma, and milk taste.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal use of digital learning media in Pancasila Education lessons on Rights and Obligations in third grade elementary school. Based on observations and interviews, teachers still predominantly use conventional media in the form of pictures in books and classroom displays, resulting in less varied learning and suboptimal student engagement. This study aims to produce valid, practical, and effective digital flashcard media. The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection instruments were validation sheets (material, language, and media) and questionnaires for teachers and students. The research subjects consisted of 14 third-grade students from UPTD SDN 05 VII Koto Talago (trial), 15 third-grade students from UPTD SDN 06 VII Koto Talago (implementation), and 9 third-grade students from UPTD SDN 09 VII Koto Talago (dissemination). The results of the study show that the developed media obtained a validity score of 94.34% in the highly valid category. Practicality, based on the responses of teachers and students, was in the highly practical category with a percentage ranging from 87.5% to 95.83%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated through improved learning outcomes with completion rates of 90.71%, 96%, and 91.11%, as well as an N-Gain calculation in the moderate category. Thus, digital flashcard media is declared valid, practical, and effective for use in teaching Pancasila in third grade elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model at SDN 01 Bandar Buat. The main problem in this study is the low learning achievement where 57.14% of students have not reached the KKTP, which indicates a systemic problem in the form of passive attitudes and uneven participation. Method: This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles on 28 fifth grade students. Data were collected through activity observations and learning outcome tests. Results: The implementation of the NHT model significantly improved learning outcomes, marked by an increase in the class average score from 74.00 in cycle I to 83.00 in cycle II. Teacher and student activities also showed consistent progress to reach the very good category. Novelty: This study shows that individual responsibility structured in the NHT model is effective in minimizing systemic problems such as passive attitudes and inequality in student participation in science learning integrated into the Independent Curriculum.
