Abstract

Wukirsari is a village in Bantul Regency that has been declared a tourist village. As a tourist village, Wukirsari Village has received a lot of attention related to existing activities. One of them is the existence of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). BUMDes Wukirraya is a Bumdes in Wukirsari Village. Bumdes Wkirraya has great potential in developing batik craft-based businesses and cultural tourism. The problem of managerial capacity, low community participation, and minimal business diversification hamper the strategic role of BUMDes. This community service activity aims to identify the main problems faced by BUMDes Wukirraya and design institutional strengthening strategies through a participatory approach. The methods used include observation, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD) with BUMDes managers, MSME actors, and community leaders. The results show that business management training, facilitation of collaboration between sectors, and active involvement of residents are the keys to strengthening the function of BUMDes. This activity contributes to increasing human resource capacity, entrepreneurial awareness, and the direction of business development that is more strategic and in accordance with local potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors influencing regional financial independence in regencies/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. This study uses panel data regression analysis which is a combination of cross-sectoral data from 5 regencies/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province and time series data from 2014-2024. The results of this study indicate that special funds, regional revenues, and special allocation funds have a significant positive influence on regional financial independence. Meanwhile, general allocation funds have a negative but insignificant influence on regional financial independence in regencies/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. Regional financial independence can be improved by optimizing regional revenues and utilizing specific and asymmetric fiscal transfers so as not to rely on transfer funds that tend not to encourage regional financial independence.

Abstract

Abstrak: Potensi lokal berupa umbi gadung yang belum dimanfaatkan optimal oleh KUBE Damai Makmur karena keterbatasan pemahaman diversifikasi produk, teknologi, dan pemasaran digital. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah umbi gadung menjadi keripik bernilai jual lebih tinggi. Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi diversifikasi dan pemasaran digital, pelatihan pembuatan keripik gadung, pelatihan platform digital (Instagram), serta branding produk (nama/merek, logo, kemasan, dan stiker). Kegiatan diikuti 20 peserta anggota KUBE Damai Makmur dan dievaluasi melalui Forum Discussion Group (FGD). Evaluasi dari kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode diskusi atau wawancara langsung serta melakukan pencatatan informasi tentang hambatan dan motivasi dalam melaksanakan kegiatan, indikator keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini adalah 75% peserta yang merupakan anggota KUBE Damai Makmur mengalami peningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang diversifikasi produk, branding produk, dan pemasaran digital serta dapat mempraktekkannya. Hasil menunjukkan 100% peserta aktif mengikuti kegiatan, dengan peningkatan level keberdayaan terkait pengetahuan produksi dari 35% menjadi 88%, ketrampilan teknis dari 30% menjadi 85%, akses pasar dari 20% menjadi 80%, serta manajemen usaha dari 25% menjadi 82%. Abstract:  Banyumeneng Village, Mranggen District, Demak Regency has local potential in gadung tubers that remain underutilized by the Damai Makmur Joint Business Group (KUBE) due to limited knowledge of product diversification, technology, and digital marketing. This community service program aimed to improve community understanding and skills in processing gadung into chips with higher market value. Activities included socialization on diversification and digital marketing, training on gadung chip production, digital platform training (Instagram), and product branding (name/brand, logo, packaging, and labeling). The program involved 20 KUBE Damai Makmur members and was evaluated through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The evaluation of this activity was carried out through discussion or direct interviews, as well as by recording information about the obstacles and motivations in implementing the program. The success indicator of this activity is that 75% of participants, who are members of KUBE Damai Makmur, experience an increase in knowledge and skills related to product diversification, product branding, and digital marketing, and are able to put them into practice. The results showed that 100% of participants actively took part in the activity, with an increase in empowerment levels: knowledge of production rose from 35% to 88%, technical skills from 30% to 85%, market access from 20% to 80%, and business management from 25% to 82%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan Indonesia dengan potensi tinggi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat petani. Namun, sebagian besar nilai keuntungan kopi hanya dirasakan di tingkat distributor dan produsen besar, sementara petani kopi di daerah cenderung menerima hasil yang minim. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hardskill dan softskill petani kopi di Kecamatan Jambu, Kabupaten Semarang melalui program Agro-Roasting Optimal (AROMA). Melalui program ini, petani diberikan pelatihan teknis dalam pengolahan pasca panen kopi, seperti pemanggangan (roasting), penyeduhan (brewing), serta pengujian cita rasa (cupping), disertai dengan inovasi produk hilir berupa sabun kopi dan pelatihan digitalisasi pemasaran produk. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, praktik langsung, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Sebanyak 30 peserta yang terdiri dari petani kopi, pelaku UMKM, serta masyarakat umum di Kecamatan Jambu turut serta dalam kegiatan ini. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui angket dan observasi langsung untuk mengukur pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis peserta sebesar rata-rata 28,4%. Peningkatan ini terlihat pada kemampuan penggunaan metode cupping (36,1%), pengelolaan limbah kopi (34,9%), dan standar pengolahan kopi yang baik (34,4%).Abstract: Coffee is one of Indonesia's leading commodities with high potential to enhance the economic well-being of farming communities. However, most of the coffee's profit value is enjoyed only at the distributor and large-scale producer levels, while local coffee farmers often receive minimal benefits. This community service activity aims to improve the hardskills and softskills of coffee farmers in Jambu District, Semarang Regency, through the Agro-Roasting Optimal (AROMA) program. Through this program, farmers received technical training in post-harvest coffee processing, including roasting, brewing, and cupping, along with product innovation training on coffee-based products like coffee soap and digital marketing. The methods used in this activity included lectures, hands-on practice, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). A total of 30 participants, consisting of coffee farmers, MSME actors, and the general community in Jambu District, participated in the program. Evaluation was conducted using questionnaires and direct observation to assess participants' knowledge and skills before and after the activity. The evaluation results showed an average improvement in participants' knowledge and technical skills by 28.4%. This increase was observed in areas such as the use of cupping methods (36.1%), coffee waste management (34.9%), and compliance with good coffee processing standards (34.4%).

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Banyumeneng di Demak memiliki komoditas utama kunyit, namun hanya dijual dalam bentuk kunyit rajang kering dengan harga yang rendah karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam inovasi produk dan kurangnya adopsi teknologi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka dilakukan kegiatan PKM yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan, keterampilan, dan kapabilitas masyarakat dalam menghasilkan produk olahan kunyit yang bernilai jual tinggi dan menumbuhkan ide bisnis yang inovatif. Kegiatan ini meliputi pelatihan diversifikasi produk, prinsip-prinsip GMP, desain logo dan kemasan, serta pemasaran melalui media sosial. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 20 orang perempuan dari kelompok tani kunyit di Desa Banyumeneng. Evaluasi dari kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode diskusi atau wawancara langsung serta melakukan pencatatan informasi tentang hambatan dan motivasi dalam melaksanakan kegiatan, indikator keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini adalah 75% peserta yang merupakan kelompok tani mengalami peningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang diversifikasi kunyit, prinsip GMP, dan branding produk, serta dapat mempraktekkannya. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, dimana 90% peserta mampu memahami dan mempraktikkan teknik yang diajarkan. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dan meningkatkan prospek ekonomi desa dengan menambahkan nilai tambah pada produk kunyit mereka.Abstract: Banyumeneng Village in Demak has turmeric as its main commodity, but it is only sold in the form of dried turmeric with low prices due to limited knowledge and skills in product innovation and lack of technology adoption. To overcome this, PKM activities were carried out which aimed to improve the insights, skills, and capabilities of the community in producing high-value turmeric processed products and fostering innovative business ideas. This activity includes training on product diversification, GMP principles, logo and packaging design, and marketing through social media. The training was attended by 20 women from the turmeric farmer group in Banyumeneng Village...The evaluation of this activity was carried out using the discussion or direct interview method and recording information about obstacles and motivation in carrying out the activity, the success indicator of this activity is 75% of the participants who are farmer groups are able to understand the material to increase their knowledge about turmeric diversification, GMP principles, and product branding, and practice it. The evaluation results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge and skills, where 90% of participants were able to understand and practice the techniques taught. This initiative aims to empower the community and improve the economic prospects of the village by adding value to their turmeric products.
