Abstract

The development of ethnomathematical research is currently experiencing a fairly rapid increase in interest. This can be seen in the many ethnomathematical researches in the inaugural issue of Kreano, a creative-innovative mathematics journal, in English.Perkembangan riset etnomatematika saat ini mengalami peningkatan minat yang cukup pesat. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada banyaknya riset etnomatematika pada terbitan perdana Kreano, jurnal matematika kreatif-inovatif, dalam Bahasa inggris.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the achievement of students’ mathematical problem solving ability as the result of  implementation of ICT-assisted Preprospec learning and conventional learning. This research used quantitative methods. Two sample groups (experiment group and control group) were selected randomly from groups of students in the Study Program of Mathematics Education who enrolled in Integral Calculus course. An experiment group was taught by using ICT-assisted Preprospec learning. Result from this research are (1) The overall achievement of students' mathematical problem-solving ability who were taught by using ICT-Assisted Preprospec Learning and for this type of middle mathematical prior knowledge was better than those who were taught by using conventional learning (2) The achievement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who were taught by using ICT-assisted preprospec learning for upper and lower mathematical prior knowledge are similary than the achievement of those who were taught by using conventional learning.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada Pembelajaran Preprospec Berbantuan TIK. Metode kuantitatif adalah metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun sampelnya diambil secara acak dari seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Jurusan Matematika pada salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Semarang yang mengambil mata kuliah Kalkulus Integral. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan Pembelajaran Preprospec Berbantuan TIK secara keseluruhan dan untuk jenis kemampuan awal matematis sedang lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan Pembelajaran Preprospec Berbantuan TIK untuk kemampuan awal matematis atas dan bawah setara dengan mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis terdiri atas kelancaran, fleksibilitas, elaborasi, dan originalitas, terutama pda siswa SMA N 1 Weleri kelas X yang diajarkan dengan model open ended project based e-learning berbantuan Geogebra. Pendekatan open-ended ini merangsang siswa melakukan investigasi untuk menyusun berbagai ide dan gagasan dengan menggunakan strategi yang unik dan tepat. Di sisi lain, pembelajaran berbasis proyek memberikan pengalaman belajar dan praktik mengorganisasi proyek yang dirancang untuk mengaplikasikan pembelajaran matematika dalam kehidupan nyata. Proyek yang disusun melalui aplikasi Geogebra dapat dikerjakan secara individu di tempat masing-masing siswa berada. Siswa diinstruksikan untuk menyusun proyek pada materi vektor dengan hasil yang beragam untuk menstimulus pencapaian aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Aspek kelancaran ditunjukkan dengan siswa dapat menyebutkan beberapa kemungkinan operasi hitung yang dapat dibentuk dari vektor-vektor yang disediakan. Aspek fleksibilitas ditunjukkan dengan berbagai strategi yang digunakan untuk menentukan resultan vektor. Aspek elaborasi yang ditunjukkan dengan ketepatan antara skema vektor dengan operasi hitung yang dibentuk dari skema tersebut. Aspek originalitas ditunjukkan dengan siswa dapat menyusun operasi hitung dari vektor-vektor yang tersedia secara unik dan berbeda.

Abstract

Geometri menjadi salah satu cabang ilmu matematika yang cukup sulit untuk dipahami siswa. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah rendahnya kemampuan spasial yang disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang menoton sehingga rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa. Inovasi model pembelajaran Problem Based E-Learning berbantuan Assemblr berbasis Javanese Culture Augmented Reality (PBeL-AR) sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sehingga mampu mengembangkan kemampuan spasial. Motivasi belajar berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan kemampuan spasial siswa. Model PBeL-AR membantu dalam mevisualisasi obyek bangun ruang sehingga mendorong siswa untuk tertarik mempelajari materi bangun ruang yang terlihat konkrit.

Abstract

This study aims to examine classical mastery, average differences, and differences in proportions between PBL learning assisted by hijri calendar textbooks and PBL learning and describe mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of students' learning motivation. This research is mixed method. The quantitative research samples were students of class X-8 (experimental group) and X-6 (control group) while in the qualitative research, the research subjects were taken from six students selected from the experimental group. Data collection was carried out by tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the ability to solve mathematical problems in the hijri calendar textbook-assisted PBL model achieved classical mastery, (2) the average mathematical problem-solving ability in the hijri calendar textbook-assisted PBL model was better than PBL learning, (3) the proportion of completeness of mathematical problem solving abilities in the PBL learning model assisted by hijri calendar textbooks is better than PBL learning, (4) a description of mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of students' learning motivation, namely: (a) students with high learning motivation have problem solving abilities very good, (b) students with medium learning motivation have fairly good problem-solving abilities, and (c) students with low learning motivation have poor problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Mathematical representation encompasses verbal, visual, and symbolic forms, allowing students to articulate and manipulate mathematical ideas effectively. The review indicates that students with strong representation abilities perform better academically, as these skills facilitate deeper comprehension and application of mathematical principles. A systematic review of mathematics representation ability in education during 2019-2024 in this study from 2019 to 2024, Data collection was carried out by reviewing or reviewing all articles on mathematics representation ability in education published in the period 2019-2024. The articles used in this study were 3 articles from Scopus, and 2 articles from Google Scholar from international and national journals with the help of Publish or Perish software and VOSViewer. The results of this literature review suggest that specific research needs to be conducted on how to improve mathematics representation abbility, the school levels tested, as well as their applicability in education.

Abstract

Several previous studies have stated that the ability of students in Indonesia is still relatively low in solving real mathematical problems, therefore learning mathematics needs to be related to the environment around students. This study aims to explore and analyze some mathematical concepts contained in the object of the Kudus Tower building in Kudus Regency. The research method used is an explorative-descriptive method with an ethnographic approach with the aim of exploring and analyzing some of the mathematical concepts contained in the ornaments or buildings of the Holy Tower. The data collection technique used an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion making. Triangulation was also carried out by researchers to check the validity of the data. The results showed that on the object of the Kudus Tower building in Kudus Regency there are ethnomathematics concepts consisting of (a) Circle concept; (b) rhombus; (c) square; (d) rectangle; (e) equilateral triangle; (f) isosceles triangle; (g) trapezoid; (h) cube; (i) beam, (j) trapezoidal prism, and (k) quadrilateral pyramid. Some of these ethnomathematics concepts have relevance to mathematics learning at the primary and junior secondary education levels in geometry material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui model PBL barbasis etnomatematika berbantuan teachmint dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 20 siswa kelas IX SMP Islam Salakbrojo Kabupaten Pekalongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen desain The Group Pretest-postest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Islam Salakbrojo Kabupaten Pekalongan. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah barbasis etnomatematika. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji paired t-test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai thitung < ttabel atau 5,445 < 2,09302 maka H0 ditolak yang berarti kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui model PBL barbasis etnomatematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung, hasil uji peningkatan rata-rata (N-gain) menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IX SMP Islam Salakbrojo yaitu 34,95 termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Rata-rata pretest siswa sebesar 73,25 dan rata-rata posttest sebesar 84,25. Oleh karena itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui model pembelajaran problem-based learning barbasis etnomatematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung di SMP Islam Salakbrojo. The purpose of this study was to determine the ethnomathematics-based PBL model assisted by teachmint in improving students' problem-solving abilities in the curved-sided solid geometry material. The number of samples in this study was 20 ninth-grade students of SMP Islam Salakbrojo, Pekalongan Regency. This study used an experimental research design The Group Pretest-postest. The subjects in this study were ninth-grade students of SMP Islam Salakbrojo, Pekalongan Regency. Data collection used ethnomathematics-based problem-solving ability tests. The data analysis technique in this study was the paired t-test. The results of this study were the results of the paired sample t-test showed a value tcount < ttable or 5.445 < 2.09302 then H0 is rejected which means that students' problem-solving ability through the PBL model based on ethnomathematics on the material of curved side solid shapes, the results of the average increase test (N-gain) show that grade IX students of SMP Islam Salakbrojo, namely 34.95, are included in the moderate category. The average pretest of students was 73.25 and the average posttest was 84.25. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an increase in problem-solving ability through the problem based learning model based on ethnomathematics on the material of curved side solid shapes at SMP Islam Salakbrojo.
