Abstract

This study is entitled the application of the jigsaw type cooperative model in learning to analyze biographical texts for class X students of SMK PUI Gegesik. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in biographical text material. This study aims to determine the use of the jigsaw type cooperative model on the learning outcomes of analyzing biographical texts for class X students of SMK PUI Gegesik in the 2022/2023 academic year. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is: the effectiveness of using the jigsaw type cooperative model in learning to analyze biographical texts in class X SMK PUI Gegesik. This study is a type of True Experimental Design research. The research design used is the pretest-posttest control group design, with a research sample consisting of two classes, namely class X DKV 3 as the control class with 25 students and class X DKV 2 as the experimental class with 25 students. This study uses test data collection, observation and documentation. All of these data are materials to determine the effectiveness of using the jigsaw type cooperative model. Based on the data that has been analyzed, it shows that the average value of the learning outcomes of the control class X DKV 3 using the Conventional method is 71.4 while the average value of the learning outcomes of the experimental class X DKV 2 using the jigsaw cooperative model is 86.4. Then the calculated t = 5.838 and t table = 2.000 are obtained, thus the calculated t> t table, namely 5.838> 2.000. thus meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows the effectiveness of the use of the jigsaw cooperative model in learning to analyze biographical texts for class X students of SMK PUI Gegesik. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul penerapan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam pembelajaran menganalisis teks biografi pada peserta didik kelas X SMK PUI Gegesik. penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi teks biografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap hasil pembelajaran menganalisis teks biografi pada peserta didik kelas X SMK PUI Gegesik tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Dengan demikian hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah: adanya efektifitas penggunaan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam pembelajaran menganalisis teks biografi pada kelas X SMK PUI Gegesik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian True Eksperimental Design. Desain peneliti an yang digunakan adalah pretest-postest control group design, dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X DKV 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 25 peserta didik dan kelas X DKV 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 25 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengumpulan data tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Semua data tersebut bahan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Berdasarkan data yang telah dianalisis, menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas kontrol X DKV 3 menggunakan metode Konvensional adalah 71,4 sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen X DKV 2 menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah 86,4. Maka didapat t hitung = 5,838 dan t tabel = 2,000, dengan demikian t hitung > t tabel yaitu 5,838 > 2,000. dengan demikian berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukan adanya efektifitas penggunaan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam pembelajaran menganalisis teks biografi pada peserta didik kelas X SMK PUI Gegesik.

Abstract

The background of this research is due to the need for a deep understanding of the poem "Memecah dan Mengutuhkan" by MH. Ainun N as part of the reflection of today's social life. The purpose of this research is to understand the meaning of the poem with a mimetic approach from the poem "Putus Desa" by MH. Ainun N. The descriptive qualitative research method is the method used in this research. The poem "Memecah dan Mengutuhkan" by MH. Ainun N is the data subject, which consists of words and sentences whose meanings are analysed using a mimetic approach. The data collection technique is carried out in the following stages: (1) reading the poem "Memecah dan Mengutuhkan" by MH. Ainun N; (2) collecting words, sentences, or quotes to be analysed; (3) using a mimetic approach, the data is then analysed; (4) presenting the results of the analysis in descriptive form. The results of this research are that this poem reflects several reflections on the current human situation, where people pay less attention to their spiritual life. People are so busy with their work that their emotions are drained, depicting a society that prioritises ego and lust, which can sometimes be the root of problems in one's life. The human ego is sometimes too high to achieve goals and objectives, so one must strive to exceed its limits. In conclusion, this poem serves as a mirror for its readers to evaluate themselves regarding bad habits in viewing life that are not too materialistic, and do not sacrifice the spiritual side.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the students' low ability to analyze biography texts and their lack of motivation, which leads to their reluctance to complete learning tasks. One effective learning model that can be used is the problem-based learning (PBL) model for analyzing biography texts. The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine the effectiveness of the PBL model in teaching biography texts to class X students at SMKN 1 Kapetakan in the 2022/2023 academic year, and 2) to describe the learning activities of biographical texts using the PBL model in class X at SMKN 1 Kapetakan in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research follows an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design called the nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis shows that the learning process of analyzing biography texts in class X at SMKN 1 Kapetakan in the 2022/2023 academic year has improved after using the problem-based learning model. This is supported by the results of the initial and final tests, which were analyzed using the independent sample t-test. The t-count value is 0.3887, while the t-table value is 0.2024. Therefore, t-count (0.3887) > t-table (0.2024). Furthermore, the observation results indicate that the problem-based learning model enhances student engagement in the learning process of analyzing biography texts for class X students at SMKN 1 Kapetakan in the 2022/2023 academic year.
