Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has significantly transformed various aspects of life, including shopping behaviors. Social commerce (s-commerce) has emerged as a fast-growing trend in e-commerce, leveraging social interactions and user contributions to facilitate online transactions. This study aims to investigate the impact of consumer trust and platform innovation on consumer behavior in s-commerce among Indonesian university students. A survey was conducted with 300 students who actively use s-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and Bukalapak. The data were analyzed using SPSS to examine the relationships between trust, platform innovation, and purchasing behavior. The findings reveal a strong positive correlation between consumer trust and purchasing behavior (r = 0.70), as well as between platform innovation and purchasing behavior (r = 0.60). Furthermore, multiple regression analysis shows that both consumer trust (B = 0.40, p < 0.001) and platform innovation (B = 0.30, p < 0.001) significantly influence purchasing behavior. These results underscore the importance of building consumer trust and continuously innovating platform features to enhance user experience and drive transactions. This study provides valuable insights for s-commerce platforms to develop effective marketing strategies and improve consumer engagement. The implications of this research highlight the need for trust-building measures and innovative platform designs to foster consumer loyalty and increase purchase intentions among university students in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to learn how to create an Android-based location-based service (LBS) application for employee attendance. The author employed four different approaches for gathering data for this study: literature studies, interviews, observation, and similar literature studies. Rapid Application Development (RAD), a system development approach that describes use case diagrams using Microsoft Visio software and UML tools, was employed in the preparation of this study. Requirement planning, RAD design workshop, and implementation are the three stages of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) system development approach. Using Microsoft Visio software to help with diagramming, researchers used UML (Unified Modeling Language) tools to begin creating an Android-based attendance application. It can be inferred from the description and discussion's outcomes that: With this research, employees who work in client offices will find it easier to take attendance because they do not need to go to the head office first but can take attendance directly at the client's office. With this research, the process of absenteeism, absence from work due to leave, permission, sickness, and calculation of overtime at the company becomes faster and easier because employees can do attendance, apply for leave, permission, overtime, and sickness directly via the Android application without having to open a browser first. formerly. With this Android application, it can add to the company's brand as a provider of HR management services.

Abstract

This research aims to learn how to create and implement a web-based knowledge management system to enhance worker productivity. This study uses literature reviews, interviews, and observation to collect data. The system development methodology used in the research was called Rapid Application Development (RAD). The study's findings suggest that knowledge management and documentation have significantly benefited from this research. The employee knowledge documentation process can be centrally and methodically recorded thanks to implementing the knowledge management system (KMS) used in this study. This improves the efficiency of the time spent conducting knowledge searches. The findings of this study allow staff members to log into the system directly. This technology will enable employees to organize, store, and transfer knowledge effectively. In line with the established key performance indicators (KPIs), having a knowledge management system improves employee performance overall. Employees can access knowledge from anywhere with flexibility when a web-based knowledge management system is implemented, thanks to MySQL database storage and PHP programming. Workers have access to and can contribute to the organization's information, which encourages high flexibility and supports worker mobility. In general, it is intended that the creation of this knowledge management system will serve as a valuable means of advancing knowledge management. Implementing this system is expected to increase employee productivity and performance while optimizing the use of knowledge owned by the company.

Abstract

Changes in foraging behavior of stingless bees are caused by their introduction to new environments with varying biotic and abiotic factors. These bees struggle to adapt due to the shift from their original range. Biotic factors, particularly food source abundance, are crucial for their survival. Limited resources and reduced competition can decrease hive pollen, affecting larval nutrition and adult morphological growth. This study examines the physical effects of introducing stingless bees from Sulawesi to Jawa, Indonesia, using PCA to analyze 35 morphological traits and a haemocytometer to calculate pollen load. Morphometry was performed on ten separate colonies and ten different individual worker bees. Research findings indicate that the most significant size changes were observed in the forewing and hindwing lengths of worker bees at the introduction site. The smaller body size in the new environment indicates less available food in the nest. The lower pollen collection in the new environment compared to their natural habitat confirms this. The decline in pollen load is attributed to biotic factors like competition and food availability. When stingless bees become non-native, they face competition with existing species, including natives. Abiotic factors do not significantly influence the reduction in worker bees' foraging activity in the new environment. Changes in environmental factors significantly influenced the morphometric measurements of worker bees, following their introduction to lowland areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Word of Mouth (WOM) and promotion on consumer purchasing decisions for Fore Coffee products at the Alauddin Makassar branch. In the current digital era, consumer behavior is heavily influenced by peer recommendations and digital promotional strategies. Using a quantitative research approach with stratified random sampling, data were collected from 100 respondents through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to assess the impact of the two independent variables—WOM and promotion—on purchasing decisions. The results showed that WOM has a significant partial influence on purchasing decisions, indicating that peer communication, both traditional and electronic, is a dominant factor in shaping consumer perceptions and preferences. Promotion, on the other hand, did not show a significant partial effect, suggesting that price incentives alone may not be sufficient to influence purchasing behavior unless reinforced by social influence or trust. However, the simultaneous effect of WOM and promotion was statistically significant, emphasizing their combined role in consumer decision-making. The study concludes that WOM is a more dominant and effective marketing tool than standalone promotions and should be central to marketing strategies in the lifestyle-based coffee industry. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and offer practical implications for enhancing marketing effectiveness through integrated communication approaches.
