Abstract

This research aims to analyze the coach's strategies in improving the performance of badminton athletes at PB Starka in Kerinci Regency. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Research participants consisted of the head coach and badminton athletes from PB Starka, selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results show that the coach's strategies were developed through three stages: 1) strategy formulation, including initial assessment of athletes' abilities and development of individualized training programs based on age; 2) strategy implementation, covering short-term and long-term training programs, internal and external motivation approaches, and parent-based funding management; 3) strategy control, consisting of evaluation through video recordings and written notes, as well as individualized feedback. Despite facing limitations in facilities and funding, the adaptive strategies implemented by the coach have successfully led athletes to achieve recognition at the provincial level, demonstrating that systematic and individualized approaches in sports coaching can be effective even with limited resources.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the physical condition of Jambi Province's training center athletes and its relationship with sports achievement. A total of 217 athletes who were members of the Aceh-Sumut 2024 National Sports Week training center were used as research samples. The research method used a correlational quantitative approach with instruments in the form of a series of physical condition tests. The results showed that the physical condition of Jambi Province's training center athletes was generally in the "Good" category with an average value of 21.92. Athletes' achievements at the Aceh-Sumut 2024 National Sports Week showed 6 people (2.76%) won 1st place, 18 people (8.29%) 2nd place, 27 people (12.44%) 3rd place, and 166 people (76.49%) 4th place and below. Spearman correlation test results showed a very weak but significant negative relationship (r = -0.136, p = 0.046) between physical condition and athlete achievement. In conclusion, physical condition is not the main factor determining the achievement of Jambi Province's training center athletes; rather, there are other factors that may be more dominant, such as tactical intelligence, mental readiness, and competitive experience.

Abstract

Physical literacy represents an individual's capacity to utilize movement abilities, knowledge, and motivation to engage continuously in physical activities throughout their lifetime. This concept underlines that physical literacy serves as a fundamental foundation for creating healthy, dynamic, and meaningful lifestyle patterns. Physical activities constitute one of the primary determinants influencing nutritional conditions among adolescent groups; however, basic health research findings indicate that 67.2% of individuals aged over 10 years demonstrate inadequate levels of physical activity. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between physical literacy enhancement through physical education subjects and the level of physical activity among adolescent students at SMP Negeri 5 Jambi City. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach with correlational design involving 48 grade VIII students. Research findings indicate that physical literacy provides positive and significant influence on adolescent physical activity, demonstrated by t-calculated values greater than t-table and significance levels less than 0.05.

Abstract

Research Problems: Provincial Sports Week Jambi 2026 in Tanjung Jabung Barat requires a well-prepared Sports Centre as the main venue. Research Objectives: This study aimed to determine the state of sports centre facilities and infrastructure in Tanjung Jabung Barat towards the Provincial Sports Week Jambi in 2026. Methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach to assess the facilities, management, and sustainability of the Sport Centre. The sample used was 50 respondents with a sampling technique using Purposive Sampling. The data analysis method uses quantitative and descriptive analysis, using SPSS Version 29. Results: The research shows that the infrastructure indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 62%, the sports branch facilities and infrastructure indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 58%, the operational management indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 54%, and the sustainable aspect indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 70%. Conclusion: This Management includes routine maintenance but faces coordination and regulatory challenges. Sustainability efforts should involve budget allocation, community use, and private sector collaboration. With improvements, the Sport Centre can serve as an optimal venue for Provincial Sports Week Jambi 2026 and a long-term sports hub.

Abstract

Research Problems: Archery requires precision, concentration, and physical and mental stability. Effective training management is essential to support athlete performance. However, suboptimal implementation is still common, highlighting the need for studies to evaluate and improve training effectiveness in this sport. Research Objectives: This study examines the management of archery training at the Rajawali Archery Club in Jambi City. Methods: A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data sources comprised the club’s management, coaches, and athletes. Results: The findings reveal that the training management at Rajawali Archery Club encompasses four essential components: planning, organising, directing, and evaluation. The planning process is systematically arranged, involving the formulation of training objectives, target setting, and the implementation of structured training programs. In terms of organisation, the club continues to encounter challenges, particularly concerning inadequate facilities and infrastructure that have yet to meet proper safety standards. Coaching activities are delivered through technical instruction and motivational support for athletes, while evaluations are conducted monthly to monitor athletes’ development and to assess the effectiveness of the training program. Conclusion: The training management at the Rajawali Archery Club is generally well-implemented; however, further improvements in facilities and financial support are necessary to optimise athlete performance and to support the achievement of higher competitive outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan pembangunan daerah melalui sport tourism di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Bupati, Ketua DPRD, Kepala Dinas, praktisi olahraga, dan wartawan, lalu dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi Nvivo melalui teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan sport tourism memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pembangunan daerah, khususnya dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal melalui event olahraga yang menarik wisatawan. Fokus kebijakan meliputi penyediaan infrastruktur olahraga dan penyelenggaraan kegiatan olahraga tingkat daerah hingga nasional. Namun, pengembangan ini masih menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan anggaran, minimnya sumber daya manusia yang terampil, serta lemahnya koordinasi antarlembaga. Kesimpulannya, sport tourism dapat menjadi salah satu pilar strategis pembangunan daerah, namun perlu dukungan sinergis antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan sektor swasta untuk memastikan implementasi yang efektif dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Education is one aspect that is very important and necessary for the country to be able to compete with the outside world. The quality of education in Indonesia really needs to be improved because high quality education indicates that a nation has potential and quality human resources. Education is also inseparable from the role of an educator, school principal or leader who is professional and dignified. The role of an educator or teacher cannot be separated from providing knowledge, guiding, directing, training students so that they have the knowledge to be able to face their future life in accordance with the changes and developments of the times. A quality leader will direct the success of the vision and mission that has been designed. Therefore, to achieve the expected vision and mission, a leadership style that is Democratic, Visionary, Multicultural, Sportive, Transactional, Transformational and Liberal Leadership is needed. This research aims to analyze the leadership style of school principals, assess the various leadership styles applied by vocational school principals in Merangin Regency and identify their influence on the development of sports achievements in schools. In this research the author used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. What is the leadership style applied by vocational school principals throughout Merangin Regency in terms of sports achievements in their schools?

Abstract

Melalui manajemen profesionalisme yang efektif, seorang guru dapat terus meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih baik bagi siswa. Dari pemaparan di atas, peneliti ingin mengetahui seperti apa profesionalisme guru PJOK yang mengajar di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri se-Wilayah Kabupaten Batanghari, karena profesionalisme guru terhadap pembelajaran PJOK sangat diperlukan untuk memaksimalkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode analisis survei. Metode yang dirgunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket/kuesioner untuk mengetahui tingkat profesionalisme guru PJOK dalam pembelajaran PJOK.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Manajemen Profesionalisme Guru PJOK di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Se-Wilayah Kabupaten Batanghari dalam Pembelajaran PJOK Tahun 2024 dapat diketahui bahwa persentase kategori Tinggi yaitu sebesar 5,6%, Sedang sebesar 77,8%, dan Rendah sebesar 16,6%. Hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Manajemen Profesionalisme Guru PJOK di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Se-Wilayah Kabupaten Batanghari dalam Pembelajaran PJOK Tahun 2024 berada pada kategori “Sedang”. Implikasi dan saran dalam penelitian ini terhadap guru PJOK, diharapkan dapat dijadikan masukan bagi pihak-pihak sekolah mengenai manajemen profesionalisme guru PJOK di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Se-Wilayah Kabupaten Batanghari dalam pembelajaran PJOK dan sebagai kajian ilmiah untuk pengembangan ilmu pendidikan olahraga kedepannya.

Abstract

The development of information technology within the national football ecosystem requires clubs to have strong digital administration capabilities. Through the federation's digitalisation programme, PSSI introduced the SIAP PSSI application as the official system for competition management, player registration, and club administration. This initiative aims to optimise the capabilities of Jambi PSSI Asprov member club administrators in operating the application effectively. The implementation methods included socialisation, face-to-face training, application feature simulations, as well as individual mentoring for 25 participants comprising club admins and officials. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, and observation of application usage. The results showed an improvement in participants' understanding of the application's functions as well as their ability to input player data, register teams, and manage matches. This activity recommends ongoing digital assistance and the implementation of club administrative standards to support professionalism, transparency, and modern football governance in Jambi Province. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam ekosistem sepak bola nasional menuntut klub untuk memiliki kapasitas administrasi digital yang terstandar. PSSI melalui program digitalisasi federasi memperkenalkan aplikasi SIAP PSSI sebagai sistem basis data resmi yang digunakan untuk pengelolaan kompetisi, registrasi pemain, dan administrasi klub. Namun, implementasi aplikasi tersebut di tingkat klub anggota Asprov PSSI Jambi masih menghadapi kendala, terutama terkait literasi digital pengelola klub, keterbatasan pemahaman fitur aplikasi, serta ketidakteraturan administrasi data kompetisi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan klub anggota dalam mengimplementasikan aplikasi SIAP PSSI secara efektif melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan teknis. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan tatap muka, simulasi penggunaan fitur aplikasi, serta pendampingan individual kepada perwakilan klub. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari admin dan official klub anggota Asprov PSSI Jambi berjumlah 25 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test serta observasi praktik penggunaan aplikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terkait fungsi aplikasi dan kemampuan operasional dalam penginputan data pemain, registrasi tim, serta manajemen informasi pertandingan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini mendorong peningkatan kesadaran klub mengenai pentingnya digitalisasi administrasi kompetisi untuk mendukung transparansi, profesionalisme, dan integrasi data sepak bola daerah. Dengan demikian, pendampingan implementasi aplikasi SIAP PSSI mampu memperkuat kapasitas digital klub anggota dan memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan tata kelola sepak bola yang modern dan terstandar di Provinsi Jambi.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to enhance understanding and awareness of physical literacy among teachers and students at SMPN 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The programme seeks to establish physical literacy as a fundamental element for fostering the development of students who are active, intellectually engaged, and healthy. Using an interactive approach that combines outreach and training, the activities introduce a comprehensive concept of physical literacy, encompassing the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and positive attitudes towards sustained physical activity. This activity method involves structured counselling sessions, facilitates group discussions, and practical implementation of easily replicable physical activities suitable for the school environment. The results clearly demonstrate a significant increase in participants' knowledge of the importance of consistent physical activity, alongside a high awareness of the intrinsic relationship between physical fitness, cognitive development, and the cultivation of positive character traits. Consequently, the programme is positioned as a potential model for enhancing character education based on physical activity within educational institutions. Abstrak. Inisiatif pelibatan masyarakat ini berupaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran literasi jasmani di kalangan guru dan siswa di SMPN 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Program ini bertujuan untuk menetapkan literasi jasmani sebagai elemen dasar untuk menumbuhkan pengembangan karakter siswa yang aktif, terlibat secara intelektual, dan sehat. Menggunakan pendekatan interaktif yang menggabungkan penjangkauan dan pelatihan, kegiatan ini memperkenalkan konsep literasi jasmani yang komprehensif, yang mencakup pengetahuan yang diperlukan, keterampilan praktis, dan sikap positif terhadap aktivitas fisik yang berkelanjutan. Metode kegiatan ini melibatkan sesi konseling terstruktur, memfasilitasi diskusi kelompok, dan implementasi praktis aktivitas fisik yang mudah ditiru yang sesuai dengan lingkungan sekolah. Hasil dengan tegas menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pengetahuan peserta mengenai pentingnya aktivitas fisik yang konsisten, di samping kesadaran yang tinggi tentang hubungan intrinsik antara kebugaran fisik, perkembangan kognitif, dan kultivasi sifat-sifat karakter positif. Akibatnya, program ini diposisikan sebagai model potensial untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter berbasis aktivitas fisik di dalam lembaga pendidikan.
