Abstract

This research aims to describe the construction of masculinity in the main character in the Indonesian version of Miracle in Cell No. 7 and its utilization in literature learning. This research uses the descriptive-qualitative method; the data obtained is obtained through listening and note-taking techniques, then classified in the form of notes and documented in the form of screenshots. Data analysis in this research uses content analysis techniques. The results of this study reveal that the construction of masculinity in the Indonesian version of Miracle in Cell No. 7 is represented in an unusual form in general but still maintains its masculinity traits. The character Dodo Rozak has seven characteristics of masculinity, according to Chafetz, namely: male physical appearance; male functional; male sexual; emotional; intellectual; male interpersonal; and personal character. The characteristics of masculinity are used as an alternative teaching option in Indonesian language subjects at the high school level, especially in the context of learning literature, namely drama texts, specifically analyzing the content and language of dramas watched, in accordance with KD 3.19.

Abstract

The VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era presents its own challenges in teaching Indonesian language and literature. The utilization of local wisdom is a potential solution to enrich the learning process. This study aims to explore how to integrate local wisdom in teaching Indonesian language and literature in the VUCA era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with experts in the field of Indonesian language and literature, as well as observation of teaching practices in several educational institutions. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and trends in the use of local wisdom in teaching. The results show that there are various potentials of local wisdom that can be integrated in teaching Indonesian language and literature, such as the exploration of folklore, proverbs, and traditional cultural values. This integration can be done through the development of local wisdom-based teaching materials, the transformation of local wisdom-based literary works, as well as the development of local linguistics and innovation in learning Indonesian language and literature in the VUCA era. This study concludes that the utilization of local wisdom in teaching Indonesian language and literature in the VUCA era can strengthen cultural identity, increase the relevance of learning, and encourage students' creativity and critical thinking skills. This research is expected to provide insights for educational practitioners in developing Indonesian language and literature learning that is responsive to the challenges of the VUCA era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ekspresif makna religiositas puisi “Doa Malam” karya Joko Pinurbo yang melalui teori semiotik Charles Sanders Peirce. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Wujud data penelitian ialah kutipan pada puisi "Doa Malam" karya Joko Pinurbo. Teknik studi pustaka dan catat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian kualitatif, dilakukan dengan cara mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta yang termasuk data penelitian kemudian dianalisis untuk memberikan penjelasan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tanda-tanda semiotik dalam puisi ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai elemen estetis, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk mengkomunikasikan relasi pendoa dengan Tuhan secara mendalam. yang memungkinkan pembaca untuk merasakan kedalaman religiositas dari sudut pandang pendoa. Puisi ini mengingatkan kita bahwa religiositas dapat hadir dalam bentuk perenungan pribadi yang tidak selalu terlihat atau terucapkan. Melalui ikon yang melambangkan kedamaian alam, indeks yang menunjukkan kedekatan personal dengan Tuhan, dan simbol yang menggambarkan Tuhan sebagai sosok yang indah dan menenangkan, "Doa Malam" menciptakan ruang untuk mengalami religiositas yang mendalam. Dengan demikian, analisis semiotik ini memperlihatkan bahwa tanda-tanda dalam puisi bukan sekadar unsur estetika, melainkan cara bagi penyair untuk mengekspresikan makna religiositas yang tersembunyi di balik kata-kata. Peirce menunjukkan bahwa ikon, indeks, dan simbol memiliki peran yang saling melengkapi untuk menciptakan pemahaman religius yang lebih menyeluruh dalam karya sastra Melalui analisis ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teori semiotik Peirce memungkinkan interpretasi yang lebih komprehensif terhadap makna religiositas dalam puisi Joko Pinurbo, serta memperkaya pemahaman mengenai ekspresi religius yang dihadirkan dalam karya sastra.

Abstract

This research aims to collect, summarize, analyze, and synthesize information about digital media in learning from journal articles published between 2020 and 2024. The researcher conducted a literature search on several online databases, including Crossref and Google Scholar. The selection process resulted in 30 articles for analysis. The research findings indicate that among various learning media discussed in the articles are ICT devices, e-learning, animated videos, social media, Canva applications, Google Sites, Google Docs, pop-up books, flip classrooms, and coding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Canva's digital media in the learning process of writing biographical texts for grade X students and to describe the exploration of students' creativity through the use of Canva in biographical text writing. This research method uses qualitative with a descriptive presentation of the research results. This data collection technique uses observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing data. The results of this study explain the application of Canva digital media in learning to write biographical texts which includes the planning stage carried out by the teacher, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. Then explore students' creativity in writing biographical text in the form of infographics using Canva. Thus, students can develop ideas and present biographical texts in the form of posters or infographics so as to create an interesting and informative text display to read.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk nilai sosial dalam novel Janshen karya Risa Saraswati dan (2) Mendeskripsikan relevansi nilai sosial dalam novel Janshen karya Risa Saraswati sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian yaitu nilai sosial berupa nilai kasih sayang (pengabdian, tolong-menolong, kekeluargaan, kesetiaan, dan kepedulian), nilai tanggung jawab (rasa memiliki, disiplin, dan empati), dan nilai keserasian hidup (keadilan, toleransi, dan kerjasama). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam novel Janshen. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data meliputi teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Sedangkan teknik analisis data mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis kemudian direlevansikan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia kelas XI KD 3.7. Kata Kunci: nilai sosial, novel, bahan ajar.

Abstract

Modern literary theory and technology approaches can be applied in literature teaching to increase students' creativity in understanding and enjoying literary works in the digital era. The use of technology can help students to broaden their horizons about literature and enrich their learning experience, but keep in mind that the use of technology also has some disadvantages. In this study, the author discusses the implications of using modern literary theory approaches and technology in literary teaching, as well as strategies that can be used to utilize technology wisely and effectively in the context of literary teaching. Through this approach, it is hoped that students can develop their creativity in understanding and enjoying literary works better in the digital era.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian sebagai wujud tri dharma perguruan tinggi. Seorang dosen mengabdikan dirinya kepada masyarakat dengan ilmu yang dikuasainya. Komunitas pada komunitas kain kebaya di Kabupaten Karanganyar banyak yang berlatar belakang usaha dan ibu-ibu yang mandiri. Komunitas kain kebaya di Kabupaten Karanganyar beranggotakan sekitar 60 orang dari berbagai latar belakang pekerjaan yang hampir semuanya adalah pekerja. Pentingnya pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada komunitas kain kebaya yang sebagian besar adalah pelaku usaha banyak yang belum mengenal dan memahami budaya. Sedikit yang mengenal falsafah hidup yang mengandung nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan yang dapat diaplikasikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah sistem pretest, materi, posttest, pengayaan, dan pendampingan. Hasil awal pengabdian hanya 10-15% yang mengerti budaya terkait falsafah hidup menjadi 80-90% sehingga dinilai berhasil, banyak ibu-ibu yang antusias untuk bertanya dan akan diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan. Pendampingan dilakukan dan waktu pendampingan melalui whatsapp group dan bisa juga melalui telepon. Peserta dapat menyerap materi yang diberikan oleh instruktur dan hasil yang diperoleh dinilai sangat memuaskan untuk diaplikasikan peserta dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik dalam keluarga maupun masyarakat.

Abstract

The interest in reading and writing is the main foundation for improving individual literacy skills, which play an important role in the intellectual development of the community. This study aims to map the development of literacy in Indonesia using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. A total of 1,500 relevant scientific articles from Google Scholar and Crossref (2014–2024) were analyzed with the help of the Publish or Perish application for metadata download and VOSviewer for data visualization. This study covers three main aspects: (1) literacy mapping based on education level (elementary to tertiary); (2) the grouping of literacy models used; and (3) identification of novelty in the literacy study approach. The results show a major focus on primary education, with the application of innovative methods such as digital literacy and project-based learning. The literacy models found vary, ranging from conventional to digital technology-based approaches. The analysis also reveals strong relationships between authors and specific study themes, visualized through networks of citations, author collaborations, and shared references. This mapping provides an in-depth overview of trends, focuses, and research gaps in literacy in Indonesia, serving as a basis for future research development. It offers comprehensive insights into trends, research foci, and identified gaps in Indonesian literacy research, thereby contributing to the theoretical foundation for evidence-based literacy policy development and establishing a bibliometric baseline for future systematic investigations in the Indonesian educational context.

Abstract

Designing a project-based evaluation model for Indonesian language learning as a Compulsory Curriculum Subject (MKWK) in Higher Education that can encourage the development of critical thinking in the academic environment of students is the objective of this research. The research method used is research and development (R&D), with stages of needs analysis and literature review, model design, expert validation, and model trials on students, and model finalization. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and student critical thinking tests. Data analysis techniques used were carried out with two approaches. Qualitative data were analyzed through Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Meanwhile, quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the calculation of the mean, percentage, and model effectiveness testing using the t-test and N-Gain to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. The Indonesian language learning evaluation model developed integrates project-based formative and summative assessments as well as critical reflection on lecture materials, especially in writing scientific articles. The conclusion of this study confirms that the developed evaluation model design is effective in facilitating the strengthening of students' critical thinking skills through contextual and reflection-based learning. This will increase the University Performance Index (IKU) of higher education institutions. Research results indicate that implementing this model can increase student engagement in the learning process and strengthen students' analytical, synthetic, and critical reasoning skills. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of learning evaluation that focuses not only on final results but also on students' in-depth thinking processes. Abstrak Merancang model evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai Mata Kuliah Wajib Kurikulum (MKWK) Perguruan Tinggi berbasis proyek yang dapat mendorong pengembangan berpikir kritis di lingkungan akademik mahasiswa menjadi tujuan penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D), dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan dan literature review, perancangan model, validasi ahli, dan uji coba model pada mahasiswa, serta finalisasi model. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, serta tes berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dilakukan dengan dua pendekatan. Data kualitatif dianalisis melalui teknik analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sementara itu, data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, meliputi perhitungan rerata, persentase, dan uji efektivitas model menggunakan uji-t dan N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Model evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan asesmen formatif dan sumatif berbasis proyek serta refleksi kritis terhadap materi perkuliahan, khususnya dalam menulis artikel ilmiah. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa desain model evaluasi yang dikembangkan efektif dalam memfasilitasi penguatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan berbasis refleksi. Hal inilah yang akan menaikkan Indeks Kinerja Universitas (IKU) Perguruan Tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan memperkuat kemampuan analisis, sintesis, serta penalaran kritis mahasiswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya evaluasi pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada hasil akhir, tetapi juga pada proses berpikir mahasiswa secara mendalam.
