Abstract

The topic of this research aims to examine the difficulties that frequently occur when translating Arabic texts, the reasons behind these difficulties and the answers provided in the form of continuous assistance. The methods that were used in this research are both qualitative and quantitative. Data collection methods used in this study include documentation, interviews, and observation. Qualitative data was analyzed using reduction, data presentation and conclusion stages and quantitative data was analyzed using frequency distribution. The results of this research show that students' biggest difficulties in vocabulary are at 80%, Arabic grammar at 15%, and language interference at 5%. Linguistic and non-linguistic factors are the two categories of elements that affect translation errors. Solutions provided along with continuing assistance. The continuous assistance strategies that are provided include text selection, reference usage, language structure discussion, direct correction, context analysis of the text, sensitivity to cultural nuances and consistency in practice. It is envisaged that this will allow for the development of the supplied sustainable help.

Abstract

Problematika dasar penelitian ini didasari banyaknya siswa belum dapat menghubungkan materi ajar dengan realitas kehidupan. Berdasarkan permasalahan penelitian, bahwa tujuan penelitian ini meninjau urgensi metode CTL guna memahami materi ajar bahasa Arab. Penerapan metode dalam penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi, serta pengumpulan data menggunakan angket terkait pernyataan responden mengenai metode CTL dengan indikator penguasaan kosakata, kemampuan berbicara, berkomunikasi sesama, aplikasi materi dalam konteks praktis, respon terhadap materi, serta tes essay berdasarkan ranah kognitif taksonomi bloom C2-C5, adapun jumlah respond sebanyak 15 sampel dengan menggunakan Teknik random sampling serta uji keabsahan data menerapkan uji normalitas serta linieritaas, dan penarikan hipotesa penelitian menerapkan uji analisis regresi sederhana, sehingga mendapati hasil menunjukkan pembelajaran menggunakan metode CTL memberikan pengaruh signifikan dengan dibuktikan hasil uji regresi sederhana 0,021 < 0,05. Serta berdasarkan hasil R square memperoleh 0,347 sehingga pengaruh metode CTL terhadap pemahaman materi ajar bahasa Arab sebesar 34,7%. Hasil yang cukup untuk metode pembelajaran berbasis student center yaitu metode CTL untuk mengembangkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi bahasa Arab.

Abstract

Problematika pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi semakin menjadi tantangan urgen untuk diperhatikan dan dicarikan solusi bersama. Sistem pendidikan dengan kurikulum yang konkrit, harusnya lebih bisa diintegrasikan dengan model pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi masa kini dan masa depan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memahami problematika, strategi dan kompetisi global dalam Pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi agar bisa menjadi referensi dalam perspektif dunia Pendidikan Islam. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi kepustakaan yakni menganalisis sumber pustaka dari berbagai sumber primer jurnal dan buku. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa lembaga pendidikan Islam perlu mengembangkan model dan sistem pendidikan yang mampu mencegah serta mengatasi masalah yang muncul di masa depan. Pendidik dan tokoh agama dituntut untuk terus melakukan revitalisasi, reformulasi, dan kontekstualisasi terhadap ajaran agama Islam.

Abstract

Learning Arabic through Instagram social media is one of the alternative media to present material in an interesting and contemporary way, because Instagram has feed and reels features that support multimedia-based learning, but to present material a theory is needed to support learning to be more effective. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the application and implications based on the principles of multimedia cognitive theory in learning Arabic through the @arabicwithenes Instagram account. Using a qualitative approach, while the method used is content analysis, this study analyzes how the feeds and reels features in the account apply the six main principles of multimedia cognitive theory, namely the principles of multimedia, spatial proximity, temporal proximity, coherence, modality, and redundancy. The results of this study show that most of the content has effectively applied these principles, especially in the simultaneous use of audio and visual, which then facilitates the understanding of the pronunciation and meaning of mufradat for Instagram users, especially its followers. At the same time, however, there is still some content that applies redundancy, which has the potential to increase cognitive load. The effects of applying these principles show a positive impression on their followers in terms of increasing motivation and interest as well as understanding in learning Arabic, although the intensity of improvement needs to be carried out further, especially in terms of personalizing the content so that it is more relevant to the skill level of each individual Instagram user and follower.

Abstract

Assessment is an integral part of the language learning process, including in the teaching of Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI/Islamic elementary schools). One of the main skills to be developed is maharah kalam (speaking skill), which requires students to actively and communicatively use the Arabic language. This study aims to examine the speaking assessment techniques found in the Arabic Language Textbook for Grade III MI published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020, and to propose an innovation through authentic assessment using a communicative approach that is more contextual and meaningful. This research employs a library research method with content and descriptive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the assessment techniques in the textbook remain conventional, focusing on vocabulary pronunciation, dialogue repetition, and simple oral responses. These techniques do not fully reflect the real-life communicative use of language. Therefore, there is a need for authentic assessment innovations based on a communicative approach through activities such as role-playing, interviews, discussions, and oral presentations. Such innovations can provide a more comprehensive overview of students' competencies—cognitive, affective, and psychomotor—and support the goal of Arabic language instruction as an active communication tool.

Abstract

Background: First-semester students in the Arabic Language Education program often struggle with pronouncing complex Arabic phonemes in the al-Ashwat wa al-Lahjat course. Aims: This study aims to identify the phonemes that pose pronunciation difficulties, examine the effectiveness of song-based media in enhancing students' phonetic accuracy, and explore students' perceptions of using songs in learning. Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving 35 first-semester students from Class C of the Arabic Language Education Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Data were collected through participant observation and focus group discussions (FGDs). Results: The findings revealed that integrating song media, including hijaiyyah letter songs to identify problematic phonemes and Asmaul Husna songs to facilitate pronunciation practice, significantly enhances students' phonetic articulation. The most challenging phonemes identified were ع ('ain), ص (shad), ض (dhad), غ (ghin), ظ (dhadz), خ (kha), ث (tsa), ح (ha), ق (qaf), ش (shin), and ط (tha). Furthermore, song-based learning fosters an engaging and enjoyable learning environment, enhances motivation, and promotes collaborative learning. Implications:  These findings indicate that song media can be an effective pedagogical tool for enhancing Arabic phonetic instruction by improving students’ pronunciation accuracy, fostering engagement, and creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika kebijakan dan peran guru dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka di SDN Karanganyar Turi. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data digunakan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan cara kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kebijakan kurikulum merdeka identik dengan memberikan kebebasan kepada peserta didik untuk mengekplorasi pengetahuan yang bersumber dari manapun. Peran guru di SDN Karanganyar Turi dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka sangat penting, antara lain guru sebagai fasilitator pembelajaran, guru sebagai pendidik, guru sebagai penasihat, guru sebagai motivator, dan lain sebagainya. Pada parktiknya, tentu terjadi banyak tantangan yang dihadapi antara lain: guru yang kurang memahami IT, muatan materi kurikulum merdeka teralu rumit, kesulitan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, kurangnya bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran.
