Abstract

Abstract

Nurses are the frontline of healthcare services and are highly vulnerable to work-related stress due to complex tasks and heavy responsibilities. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between work tenure and marital status with job stress among nurses in the inpatient ward of Hospital X in Kotamobagu. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design and correlational analysis was conducted. The population consisted of 272 nurses, from which 73 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire covering three main variables: work tenure, marital status, and job stress. Univariate analysis was used to describe frequency distributions, and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test was applied to examine associations between independent and dependent variables. The findings showed that work tenure (p = 0.000) and marital status (p = 0.004) were significantly associated with nurses’ job stress. Nurses with longer work tenure (≥3 years) and those who were married were more likely to experience job stress. Emotional support, a healthy work environment, and adequate rest are essential to effectively manage job stress among nurses.

Abstract

The main problem faced by the Bumi Pajo village community is that durian peel waste, generated from seasonal consumption by the village community, has not been optimally utilized. In developing household products, the community does not yet have the skills and knowledge to process this waste into creative and marketable products, such as durian peel chips, compost materials, or crafts. As a result, the economic potential of this waste is neglected and even causes environmental problems. The implementation method of this community service program starts from an initial survey and mapping of potential partners, technical training, and mentoring the fermentation process of durian peel into vinegar that can be used as a household product or an additive in the food and health sectors. This community service program is directed at education and basic training in processing durian peel waste into vinegar, as well as its use in everyday life. The program also includes training in product packaging, local marketing strategies, and a simple introduction to digital marketing to increase product sales. The results of community service include the processing of durian peels into economically valuable products, such as durian peel chips, organic compost, and home crafts.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are a global problem that has occurred alongside the shift in disease patterns from infectious to non-communicable diseases. The number of deaths caused by accidents has reached 1.35 million annually, 90% of which occur in developing countries, which have only 54% of the world's vehicles. This study aims to determine the factors related to driving safety behavior (safety reading) among students at the Graha Medika Institute of Health and Technology, Kotamobagu. The type of research used is analytical with a cross-sectional research design. This study was conducted at the Graha Medika Institute of Health and Technology, Kotamobagu, and the population was 583 students. The sample size in this study consisted of 100 students and the sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The findings show that SIM ownership (p= 0.001), attitude (p= 0.033), peer role (p= 0.033) are related to safe riding behavior and knowledge (p= 0.311) has no relationship to safe riding behavior in students. Driving safety behavior among students is significantly influenced by factors such as driving license ownership, attitudes, and the role of peers, while knowledge alone does not guarantee safe driving practices.
