Abstract

The problem in this research is that some students feel they still don't understand the conceptual material in the Capita Selekta Education course. This research aims to identify the need for developing gamified learning media for the Educational Capita Selekta course for FIP UNM Educational Technology students, to design gamified learning media for the Educational Capita Selekta course, to measure the validity and practicality of the gamified learning media for the Educational Capita Selekta course for Educational Technology students at FIP UNM. This research uses R & D research with a 4D model and is limited to 3D. The research was conducted at the Educational Technology Study Program, the subjects in the research were 30 Educational Technology students, 1 lecturer teaching the course. The results obtained from material validation are in very valid qualifications and media validation in gamification learning media is in valid qualifications. At the individual and large group trial stage, the qualifications were good. The response from the lecturers in charge of the course was of very good qualifications. The conclusion from the results of this research is that gamification learning media is valid and practical to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has significantly impacted education, introducing more interactive and comprehensive learning methods. This study aims to 1) determine the level of need, 2) design an interactive e-module, and 3) assess the validation and practicality of the interactive e-module. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques included interviews and questionnaires. The study subjects consisted of 2 validators (a media validator and a content validator), 20 tenth-grade students, and 1 teacher who teaches Biology. Validation results indicate that the developed interactive e-module is highly valid. The feedback from teachers and students suggests that the module is practical. The findings show that this e-module is both highly valid and practical for use in biology education, particularly in teaching abstract topics like viruses.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the learning media used is less innovative and the need for media that can increase students' learning motivation. The purpose of this study was to measure the need for audio-visual media for the Multimedia Learning course in the Educational Technology Study Program, FIP UNM, to design audio-visual media for the Multimedia Learning course that will be developed, and to measure the validity and practicality of the audio-visual media for the Multimedia Learning course that was developed. The approach used in this study is the development of 4D (Four D Models) which is limited to 3D. The study was conducted in the Educational Technology Study Program, the subjects in the study were 30 Educational Technology students, 1 lecturer in charge of the course and 2 validators. The results of the study showed that the results obtained from the identification of the level of student needs were in the very needed qualification. The results obtained from the validation of material/content experts were in the very valid qualification and the validation of media experts were in the valid qualification. To test the level of practicality of the product, small group trials, large group trials and responses from lecturers were carried out. From the three trials, the results obtained were good qualifications and suitable for use.

Abstract

This research focused on performing a comprehensive needs analysis to guide the creation of an e-module aimed at bolstering pedagogical skills within the Microteaching course. The study particularly explored the educational hurdles faced by students, their preferred learning materials, and their expectations for digital learning within the Educational Technology program at Universitas Negeri Makassar. Data collection was facilitated through multiple methodologies, including questionnaires, interviews, and observations, involving a cohort of 20 undergraduate students. The questionnaire was meticulously designed with ten key indicators focusing on various aspects such as learning content, accessibility, interactive elements, and visual attractiveness. Findings indicated that a significant majority of students perceived existing instructional materials as inadequate and unengaging, signifying a critical need for improvements. The highest needs were related to the inclusion of clear learning objectives (93%) and offline usability (92%). These findings indicate that an e-module for the Microteaching course is needed to support flexible, independent, and engaging learning. The results of this analysis serve as a foundation for the subsequent development phase using the 4D model to improve the quality of pedagogical learning.
