Abstract

One characteristic that marks the onset of women puberty are menstruating. When it comes, sometimes there are abnormalities or disorders associated with menstruation, that is dysmenorrhea or menstrual pain which forced her to restor reduce daily activity. One of dysmenorrheal precaution is doing gymnastics called anti-menstrual pain gymnastics (dysmenorrhea gym). When doing gymnastics, the endorphins hormone released as a neurotransmitter in the brain to reduce the transmission and perception of pain inthe body. This study was aimed to know the effect of anti-dysmenorrhea gymnastics exercise on reducing dysmenorrhea.The research method used in this study is a true experiment with a pretest-posttest design with control group. Randomization has been used in this design, it means the members of control and experimental group is grouped randomly. The object population in this study is the female students of State Senior High School 5 Magelang, as many as 281 students. Using 10% sampling technique, it was obtained 30 students to be tested. The control group and experimental groups each 15 students. Data collection tools were sheets of anti dysmenorrhea gym observation and sheets of pain scale observation. Data was analyzed using SPSS statistical software with the nonparametric Mann-Whitney test.The research data which analyzed using nonparametric Mann-Whitney showed P-value 0,000 and Z test -4,170. Because P-value 0,000 (less than) α (0,05) and Z test -1,96, then Ho is rejected, which means there is an effect of dysmenorrhoea gym on reducing female student’s menstrual pain in State Senior High School 5 Magelang , so anti-menstrual pain gymnastics can be used as an alternative therapy for the treatment of dysmenorrhea. And, for medical labor it will be good to deliver information and training of this anti-dysmenorrhea gymnastics to reduce dysmenorrhea in our society.

Abstract

The prevalence of dysmenorrhoea is quite high in the world, where an estimated 50% of all women in the world suffer from dysmenorrhea in a menstrual cycle (Calis, 2011). Menstrual disorders require special attention because if not handled can affect the quality of life and activities of daily living (Iacovides, 2013). The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of abdominal stretching exercise on pain intensity dysmenorrhoea. This study was conducted in Junior High School 1 Wonoboyo Temanggung. The method used quasi-experimental research design is one group pretest posttest. The population in this study were all students of Junior High School N 1 Wonoboyo the academic year 2015/2016 with a history of dysmenorrhoea in the last 2 months (December and January) as many as 55 students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample of 48 respondents. The results showed that the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain abdominal stretching before exercise 75% of respondents experienced a moderate dysmenorrhea and there were 8 respondents severe dysmenorrhoea. The intensity of dysmenorrhea pain after abdominal stretching exercise showed that out of 48 respondents, no respondents with severe dysmenorrhea pain and 85% had moderate dysmenorrhea. P value 0.000 and the value of z = 4, 689 means no abdominal stretching exercise influence on the intensity of pain dysmenorrhoea with. From the results of this study are expected Adolescents who experience painful menstruation or dysmenorrhea should do abdominal stretching exercise to reduce the intensity of the pain.

Abstract

Pregnancy is an important transition period in the biochemical, physiological and anatomical changes of the female body. Prenatal Class as a forum for pregnant women and their families to obtain information together and learn about maternal and child health as the main social support during pregnancy. Men who feel unprepared for fatherhood tend to be fathers who are not involved early, resulting in a difficult transition into parenthood, less likely to become committed fathers. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the low participation of husbands in the Prenatal Class. This type of research is analytic research with a cross sectional approach. Population of husbands of pregnant women class participants in the city of Magelang. The sample in this study used the cross-sectional sample size formula and obtained a total sample of 48 people, taken using purposive sampling using a questionnaire instrument. Statistical analysis with Spearman Rho correlation test. Interpretation of statistical test results is based on the p value, the strength and direction of the correlation. The results of the analysis in testing the hypothesis by looking at the significance value, there is a significant influence on the factors of education (0.000), employment (0.000), socialization (0.009) and there is no effect of age (0.774), number of pregnancies (0.494) on husband's participation in class pregnant mother. Factors of education, employment, and socialization affect participation, while age, number of pregnancies do not affect husband's participation in classes for pregnant women.
