Abstract

In offshore operation, Crude oil is transported by means of pipeline system from oil well to platform at High Pressure and High Temperature. The pipeline will experience expansion and multi stresses due to internal pressure and operating temperature that the material properties of pipe tend to deformation which affect to the durability of pipeline. This phenomenon should be considered in the design process of pipeline and to estimate the expansion is under limit of pipeline strength otherwise the pipeline will be failure cause of catastrophic .

Abstract

Oil and gas transportation in subsea operation continues to the extreme depth. Harsh environment in deep water lead to a challenge for especially pipeline design. The pipelines are operated at high pressure and high temperature in order to be able to transport the crude oil from the well to the end termination of loading. Such condition, the pipelines are subjected to axial compressive forces which will cause the pipelines to expand, consequently the pipelines tend to buckle for certain size and distance from the initial of pipeline. The sleeper is one of method to control the pipeline expansion by insertion of bar underneath the pipeline. The sleeper results initial imperfection for pipeline which forms a curvature. The magnitude of curvature is designed comply with DNV OS F101 where the design load will accommodate the combination load works on pipeline and the curvature configuration will validate by using ANSYS 14.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat mekanik sambungan las butt joint pada plat ASTM A36 menggunakan metode pengelasan Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan tarik maksimum pada spesimen 1 (40 A) lebih tinggi dibandingkan spesimen 2 (60 A), dengan nilai 440.0 MPa dan strain 18.5%, sedangkan spesimen 2 memiliki nilai kekuatan tarik 396.7 MPa dan strain 12.95%. Pada pengujian tekuk, spesimen 2 (60 A) memiliki kekuatan tertinggi sebesar 5.830,482 N dengan deformasi 14,8 mm, lebih tinggi dibandingkan spesimen 1 yang memiliki kekuatan 4.533,510 N dengan deformasi 13,3 mm. Pengujian kekerasan menunjukkan bahwa spesimen 2 (60 A) memiliki nilai kekerasan rata-rata lebih tinggi (48,2 HRA) dibandingkan spesimen 1 (45,8 HRA), terutama pada daerah HAZ. Struktur mikro spesimen 1 didominasi oleh ferrit dan perlit dengan lebih banyak bainit dan martensit karena proses pendinginan yang lebih cepat, sementara spesimen 2 didominasi oleh ferrit dan perlit dengan sedikit bainit dan hampir tanpa martensit akibat pendinginan yang lebih lambat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa arus pengelasan yang lebih rendah (40 A) menghasilkan kekuatan tarik yang lebih tinggi, sementara arus yang lebih tinggi (60 A) meningkatkan kekuatan tekuk dan kekerasan permukaan, jadi untuk material ASTM A36 dengan menggunakan sambungan butt joint lebih baik menggunakan arus 60 A.

Abstract

Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs) are one of the most prominent artificial lifting methods in the oil and gas industry today. In the operation of Electric Submersible Pumps on wells in the Ko-Pet field, a gas lock may occur when liquid and gas separate in the tubing above an electric submersible pump and inside the pump. This study aims to determine the effect of installing venting equipment on oil well production. Venting equipment was installed in three oil wells: KI090, KI183, and KI495 in the Ko-Pet oil field. From the production data, it was found that the installation of Venting Equipment affected production stability, namely by increasing the fluid that could be pumped by the ESP to the surface facility. The installation of venting equipment increased oil production by 1251 barrels or an increase of 8%. Electrical Submersible Pump performance was more stable because the gas lock problem can be overcome by continuously releasing the casing pressure with venting equipment.

Abstract

Filling liquid into bottles with the same volume is an important part of product packaging. All packaged bottles must be filled per a product's provisions. A device is needed to control the contents of the bottles from a certain distance or from outside the bottles by moving on the conveyor track. So that the bottles can be automatically filling the same volume continues to the packaging process. To be able to control the contents of the bottle automatically and properly may need a tool and a control program. This research was carried out to be able to control the contents of transparent bottles, using a Siemens S7-1200 PLC, so that a system for controlling bottle contents quickly and precisely, which helps the production process run smoothly. The main components used in this research were the Siemens S7-1200 Programmable Logic Controller, Omron E3S-DB sensor, and pneumatic cylinder. The result showed the Control Module Program 1 successfully detected empty bottles and rejected them properly. Control module program 2 successfully moves the pneumatic cylinder to move the cylinder continuously until the stop button was pressed. The module 3 programs succeeded in moving the cylinder, which was limited to only 10 repeated movements until it stopped.

Abstract

The development of technology in the industrial sector is increasing rapidly, especially the application of computers in the field of machinery. Demands from consumers who want good quality workpieces, precision, completed in a short time and in large quantities, will be easier to work with a CNC Router machine. Surface flatness is an absolute thing that must be considered in the machining process, especially the 3 Axis CNC Router machine. This type of research is an experimental research, using Dutch teak wood as a workpiece with a height of 15 mm, a length of 100 mm and a width of 80 mm, the machining process uses a 3 Axis CNC Router Machine. The flatness of the workbench is first measured, then the product is prepared with a depth of 2 mm in the product area. The research uses a variation of the spindle speed of 600 rpm, 800 rpm and 1000 rpm. After that, measurements are taken to obtain the flatness value. Measuring flatness using a Dial indicator measuring instrument with accuracy (1 µm). The best product flatness test or the lowest value is (32.00 µm) obtained from the spindle speed of 1000 rpm and the most uneven product evenness is (56.00 µm) obtained from the spindle speed of 600 rpm, knowing the effect of the flatness value of the workbench on the product flatness value 3 Axis CNC Router Machine, that the flatter the workbench, the flatter the product results. The results of the research can be used to refine machining strategies to achieve optimal machining.

Abstract

Alignment is a process that aligns two shaft axes that are not straight to centric (between the driving shaft and the driving shaft axis). Correct alignment is needed so that checks are completed on the correct clutch, so that offset misalignment and angle misalignment do not occur again which results in damage to machine components which is detrimental to the industry. Misalignment is a condition where there is a deviation at the point between two connected axes (two axes are not located on the same axis). If misalignment occurs in the clutch, it will accelerate damage to the clutch, bearings and other components, and cause excessive vibration. The purpose of writing this report is to find out the basic theory of alignment and find out the alignment method using the laser method.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged companies to undergo digital transformation across various operational aspects, including employee recruitment. Manual recruitment processes often create challenges such as administrative delays, data duplication, and limited access to information. This literature review aims to examine the concepts, benefits, and previous research findings related to the design of web-based employee recruitment information systems. The study adopts a qualitative approach through a review of various academic sources, including journals, books, and research reports related to information systems and human resource management. The findings indicate that web-based recruitment systems improve time efficiency, data accuracy, and transparency in the selection process. Furthermore, such systems simplify the application process for job seekers and support HR departments in conducting data-driven analyses and decision-making. Previous studies have also highlighted that the adoption of web-based systems can enhance recruitment quality by 40–60% compared to manual methods. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating information technology into human resource management as a strategic step toward organizational digitalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis sifat mekanik baja AISI 4340 setelah proses pack carburizing menggunakan karbon dari tandan kelapa pada temperatur kristalisasi 725°C. Metode carburizing yang digunakan dengan menggunakan pack yang terbuat dari stainless steel yang ditutup rapat. Pada pack terdapat carbon tandan kelapa, spesimen uji dan katalis abu kerang sebanyak 10% sebagai katalis. Tujuan utama adalah mengetahui perubahan kekerasan permukaan, kekuatan impact, kekuatan tarik dan struktur mikro setelah karburisasi, serta pengaruh serbuk tandan kelapa sebagai media karbon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum carburizing, baja AISI 4340 memiliki kekerasan permukaan 78.9 HRC, kekuatan impact 129.56 Joule, kekuatan tarik 948.8 Mpa dan struktur mikro terdiri dari perlite dan ferrite. Setelah karburizing dengan media karbon tandan kelapa dan katalis abu cangkang kerang 10%, kekerasan permukaan meningkat menjadi 94.5 HRC, kekuatan impact menjadi 175.2 Joule, kekuatan tarik menjadi 1,012.9 Mpa, patahan tetap berbentuk cup and cone menunjukkan sifat mekanik ulet dan struktur mikro terbentuk perlite, ferrite serta banit. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan serbuk karbon tandan kelapa dalam proses pack carburizing meningkatkan sifat mekanik baja AISI 4340.
