Abstract

This study aims to analyze and revitalize instructional methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to align with the learning needs and characteristics of Generation Alpha. Using a library research approach, this study examines recent scholarly articles on pedagogical innovation, digital learning, and the effectiveness of the lecture method in contemporary educational contexts. The findings indicate that digital-native learners prefer visual, interactive, and collaborative learning experiences, which necessitates updating traditional methods such as lectures without diminishing their historical and pedagogical value. The analysis reveals that the scientific approach, constructivism, and problem-based learning consistently enhance student engagement, motivation, and higher-order thinking skills. The scientific approach provides systematic learning stages, constructivism fosters independent knowledge construction, and PBL strengthens problem-solving abilities. Integrating these approaches with digital technology significantly improves the delivery and internalization of Islamic values within PAI learning. This study highlights the need for a revitalized lecture model that is adaptive, interactive, and relevant to Generation Alpha’s learning patterns. In conclusion, a technologically enriched and participatory lecture method has the potential to bridge the gap between Islamic educational traditions and the demands of digital-era learning, while making a meaningful contribution to the development of contemporary PAI pedagogy.

Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi telah memunculkan perubahan signifikan dalam pola pikir, perilaku, dan nilai-nilai sosial masyarakat modern, sehingga menimbulkan tantangan baru dalam menjaga etika dan moral. Penelitian ini mengangkat pentingnya etika dan moral Islam sebagai sistem nilai yang komprehensif untuk menjawab persoalan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian ini menelaah konsep etika dan moral Islam melalui sumber primer berupa Al-Qur’an, hadis, serta pemikiran ulama klasik seperti Al-Ghazali, Ibn Miskawaih, dan Ibnu Khaldun, serta sumber sekunder dari berbagai literatur akademik terkait. Analisis deskriptif-analitis menunjukkan bahwa etika dalam Islam berakar pada prinsip tauhid dan berfungsi sebagai fondasi pembentukan moral yang tercermin dalam perilaku nyata. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa melemahnya moral sosial sering terjadi ketika nilai etika tidak lagi dijadikan pedoman dalam bertindak. Selain itu, etika dan moral Islam terbukti relevan untuk menjawab problem sosial kontemporer melalui pendidikan karakter, penguatan budaya saling menghormati, dan keteladanan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi nilai etika dan moral Islam sangat penting dalam membangun kehidupan sosial yang beradab, serta perlu ditindaklanjuti dengan penelitian empiris agar implementasinya dapat terlihat lebih konkret.

Abstract

Generasi Alpha menghadapi tantangan etis yang semakin kompleks sebagai akibat dari dominasi teknologi digital, arus globalisasi, serta transformasi pola interaksi sosial yang mempengaruhi pembentukan nilai dan karakter mereka. Fenomena seperti penurunan kapasitas regulasi diri, berkurangnya sensitivitas empati, dan pergeseran orientasi nilai mengindikasikan adanya degradasi resiliensi moral pada generasi ini. Dalam konteks tersebut, pendidikan Islam memainkan peran strategis sebagai fondasi penguatan karakter melalui internalisasi akhlak mulia, teladan Nabi Muhammad SAW, serta habituasi nilai-nilai Islam yang relevan dengan dinamika kehidupan kontemporer. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif yang berbasis pada kajian literatur, berbagai penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa institusi keluarga sebagai agen pendidikan primer dan utama, lembaga pendidikan formal sebagai mediator nilai, serta lingkungan sosial sebagai arena praktik moral, memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat resiliensi moral generasi muda. Selain itu, integrasi pendidikan Islam dengan ekosistem digital merupakan imperatif yang tidak dapat dielakkan, mengingat rutinitas harian Generasi Alpha yang sangat terintegrasi dengan teknologi. Pemanfaatan platform digital untuk dakwah, pembelajaran interaktif, dan habituasi karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dapat meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembinaan moral. Dengan implementasi strategi yang integratif, adaptif, dan kontekstual, pendidikan Islam mampu membangun fondasi resiliensi moral yang solid, sehingga Generasi Alpha dapat menavigasi tantangan etis era digital dengan disposisi yang bijak, berintegritas, dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam konteks Revolusi Industri 4. 0 dan Society 5. 0 memerlukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan Generasi Z dan sekaligus memperkuat moral serta spiritual mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep dan efektivitas gamifikasi moral sebagai metode pembelajaran dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi yang terhubung dengan teknologi. Metode yang diterapkan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang berlandaskan studi literatur dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder yang dianalisis dengan teknik analisis isi. Temuan dari kajian ini mengungkapkan bahwa gamifikasi moral dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, serta pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai agama melalui penggabungan elemen permainan dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Selain mendukung aspek kognitif, pendekatan ini juga memperkuat penginternalan nilai moral melalui pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan kontekstual. Sebagai kesimpulan, gamifikasi moral memiliki potensi yang signifikan sebagai metode yang adaptif dan efektif dalam pembelajaran PAI, serta mampu membentuk karakter Islami pada Generasi Z di era digital.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in fostering religious moderation and tolerance among students in response to growing challenges related to diversity in educational settings. The objective of this research is to describe the pedagogical strategies and instructional methods employed by PAI teachers, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that shape the effectiveness of promoting moderate and tolerant attitudes. Utilizing a qualitative literature review approach, this study conducts a critical analysis of relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that PAI teachers play a pivotal role in cultivating moderate and tolerant behavior through learning approaches that emphasize dialogical engagement, value internalization, and strengthened understanding of diversity. Supporting factors include an inclusive school culture and teachers’ professional awareness of the importance of religious moderation. Conversely, inhibiting factors encompass limited pedagogical resources and the influence of external extremist ideologies. Overall, the study underscores the strategic position of PAI teachers in developing a harmonious and diversity-oriented educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the operational curriculum of Islamic boarding schools in dealing with the needs of students in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, with a focus on the approach and design of the curriculum. In the context of Islamic boarding schools, the use of information technology is still limited, so it is necessary to rearrange the curriculum to adapt to the challenges of the evolving times. This study raises questions about the challenges of pesantren in facing the needs of students in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the suitability of the approach of the pesantren operational curriculum to the needs of students, and the suitability of the design of the pesantren operational curriculum with the needs of students in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach. The results of the analysis are expected to provide an overview of the quality of the pesantren curriculum in facing the challenges of the ever-evolving times. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of pesantren education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student essay assessment system in Islamic Religious Education, focusing on the use of conventional methods and web-based application support. A qualitative approach with a comparative study design was employed. Data were collected through interviews with Islamic Education teachers of Grade XI at SMKN Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta, which utilizes the Broexam Unlock examination application. Teachers play a crucial role in enhancing assessment competencies, including preparing test materials, developing scoring rubrics, and conducting manual evaluations. The results indicate that the conventional essay assessment method presents weaknesses, such as requiring considerable time and effort due to manual corrections. Conversely, the use of web-based applications such as Exambro offers greater efficiency in time and workload, as the system automatically generates results after the exam. These findings highlight that technology utilization through web-based applications can serve as a strategic innovation to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education assessment systems in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the contribution of Islamic digital literacy components to the internalization of religious moderation, identify the role of institutional factors as mediators, and develop a conceptual model that describes the mechanism of value transformation in IHEI students. The approach used is qualitative research based on a literature study of 22 empirical and conceptual articles, major theoretical books, and policy documents analyzed through content analysis and thematic analysis. The results show that information verification skills, religious hermeneutic abilities, media ethics, and content production participation are the main components of digital literacy that contribute to the formation of moderate religious attitudes. The findings also show that the PAI curriculum, the House of Religious Moderation, and student communities play a significant role in directing the process of value transformation from exposure to digital content to inclusive religious practices.

Abstract
